INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Whenever I am asked for a donation for Breast Cancer, I just say "I donated both my breasts. I think that's enough."
-
We had a great time today, just the three of us, lots to catch up on. Pawprint had great furbaby photos (hope that's not a secret). We had Mexican food, no strippers, just talking. Margaritas sounded good but I don't drink and drive.
Photo from today (as requested):

Bought my replacement keyboard, now to walk my butt upstairs....

-
Thanks do much 4 sharing.
-

Blessings - love your donation response. Gotta try and remember that.

OMG I didn't realize I was so fsr behind.--My puter isn't at full working condition So I'm not here enough like I should be, I couldn't read all the ages but caught some.
Welcom newbies I think u'l not just get info u'll have good spirits on here too.
I've been on Xanax for a while, and I love it so I can't say anything bad about it. I take 1mg sometimes 2 when I really need it.But I also take Paxil and that really lowered the umber I take.
Is Chevy gone now?
2nd I love the pic--u gals look wonderful. So glad u got to have facetime.
I saw a commercial where ther was a little girl swimming and showed her as she was growing and an adult being a top swimmer and it said she's been on this JOURNEY and she loves it. Well that's how I feel about that word being used foe BC wht journey the one u keep on falling, getting back up and falling again for who knows how long. Yes this is a JOURNEY Sorry and I used to like pink but I think black and blue mixed would be better, I can relate to that much more. And certain charities are off limits for me, to much politics and wasted monies--I think Love is a good one too.
My puter is acting bitchier than me, that why I'm not on enough. It's supposed to get fixed soon.
You FL ladies are so lucky to be meeting up, again pics. And Chevy u'll have a great time with u'r family. Watch the rocks carefully, well a piece of sand might make u fall, let's face it.

So I was trying to find a picture of me while pole dancing, and all I could come up with, was this one..........
Oh well... Sass and Spookie will probably know what I look like..... 22222222222! I love your picture! Sheesh, YOU guys look so "NORMAL!"
And who is this GrammaKathy? She is wearing pedal-pushers, or whatever you call them.... I suppose that's supposed to be incentive for ME to wear them? And OH? She has on Sandals? Where your toes peek through? Not gonna happen... she's a tramp.
Now THAT'S what my Husband would say, if he saw my toes looking out from anything.... I mean he even thinks the tops I wear with beads or shiny things is just a "come-on" for anyone around! So do I listen? Not gonna happen.
22222222222, I love your DRESS! Now THAT is proper.... If I bought a dress, I would have to take it up about 4 feet.... But you look LOVELY!
And Littlepaws... Hows the rest of the paws? Your blouse is pretty.... like YOU are! So what's in that bag there on the floor? Were you shopping? Or leftovers from lunch? We need to know this stuff.
I already know what Sass and Spookie look like.... Sass posted a picture of them awhile ago.... So now I won't be fear-ful, I mean surprised l when I see them.
Okay.... gotta go finish getting ready for my trip..... like change out all my tops for the 3rd time.
-
The Mods asked if I would write something one time....
http://www.breastcancer.org/community/acknowledgin...
Oh WAIT!!! Cammi just came back from wherever she was! I'm so excited! A piece of "sand" you say? I'm not even going near the beach.... so Hah! At least I don't think we are this time...
I have to watch my step going over dust-bunnies.... are you kidding? I mean those things crop up in the most un-expected places..... and what are you doing up? Oh, that's right.... your "job".... But you do that from bed, right?
-
Oh wow.... yes little honey, you ARE bitchy.... It's okay.... just keep taking your pills.
-
Chevy, your hubby sounds like quite a trip. Mine likes the hoochymama look! Maybe we should get them together and come up with one "normal" guy! Sorry but bright red lipstick and stilettos are not on my agenda this week! Teehee
-
And so maybe have someone check out your spell-checker? Or maybe your fingers.
-
Morning Badger! YES, that was a great video! Thanks for posting it, because I just flew right by it when Sassy posted it...
I followed some of the links, and found this one..
-
Cammi!!!! You're back!!!!! Don't scare me like that, being gone for so long. Have Joey or DDS do a post if you can't, just to let us know. Ok?
Now CHEVY. Ok Missy. I read what you wrote for the mods. Very sweet. But they aren't going to understand about your pole dancing habits.
Yes, do leave your boots and parka at home. Won't be needed here. I checked your weather. Oh my! 20% humidity. However do you survive? It's about 90% here now.
And I do too know what you look like! I have a pic of you with some red thing growing out of your brown hair, wig?
-
And you are all probably just dripping with all that humidity! You probably slosh when you walk.... It's been about 3 years since we were there last... I am just not getting dried out....
Honestly, I really love that climate! I feel better at sea-level..... or what IS it.... beLOW sea level I think.... You guys are just one step away from sinking..... all of you.
-
Um yeah, between the hot flashes and the humidity it's hard to stay dry my house is a whole 8 feet above sea level!!!! WooHooo
-
Chevy, GREAT job on Members from around the World story!
Love the pic 2TA! FYI, new Get-Together Photo Slide Show..

I still like pink but not all the pinkwashing in Pinktober. I do wear black on MBC Awareness Day, which this year is 13 Oct 2014. http://mbcn.org/ ♥ to all
-
cami - your back. Sweeeet. Missing your daily input. Glad nothing serious. I hear ya on the journey. Journey my a## ! Fight is a word many women on here hate but it sure feels like a cage fight to the death for me. Still punching, kicking , biting etc.
Chevy - wow. Thanks for the link to your story. That's was awesome. If I had just come across if I would think "now there's a woman I would love to get to know". How lucky we are to have you post here so often. Nearly every morning you get me lol (literally). Love your attitude.

Smarrty, here' a link to Pinktober Revolution. I started it a couple of years ago. It picks up steam before October then peters out after October. I've run out of steam on mentoring it. I'd rather just be here, But ramble through it, you may find something that trips your trigger. I see from a post below the first and above here that you've been to Pinktober. I'll leave the link for others.
https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/102/topic...
I'll check out your topic and see if there's anything
Blessings It wasn't EKG, it was Echocardiogram that I should have done. EKG measure electrical conduction, Echocardiogram measures Function. For me the stupid Thyroid will have a major impact on function i.e pumping, EF, cardiac wall thickness, valve workings. I've had them done in the past. I should have had it redone before thyroidectomy. Oh well. Too late.
Badger Hello, I love that Som Sabadell video. It's even okay it was an advertisement and not just spontaneous. The unplanned portion was the audience response. Precious. The childrens, responses
The girl on the lamp-post
. Chevy, be easy LOL on Cami or she might go away again. Chevy worked on post to sandra for several hours. Was it okay?
Z, chevy was referring to Cami's spelling and fingers, not yours
2nd and Paws great pic.
Patty

Jwoooooohooo:) Tang
3rd:) HI!
To All been thinking. I have Susan's info. I know golfgirl said Susan needed to step back from BCO. I'm guessing many have sent PM's. Opinions PLEASE. Should I give her a call or wait?
I mentioned awhile back that our loss of Bluebird and Robin Williams could trigger a leaving. I know I had to take a break. ?????????????
-
I knew I should check out this thread, and here I find some of my favorite people are here! Sassy, I know the invite wasn't specifically for me, but here I am. A lifelong insomniac, and chemo only makes it worse. Seems to hit a few days before tx, even before I start the steroids.
Hey Cami, I heard you've had 'puter problems and I may have found the source of them...

...so you might want to check that out.
So now I'm here, can I stay? Huh? Huh?
-
hi mags, seen you posting on Warm and Fuzzy. Yes, I'm sure that's Cami's puter problems.
Chevy, read your story and everyone else's there. Wow.
Going to finish sewing. Tang, how are you girl??
-
Mags Love to have you here. Sorry didn't mean to make it seem like only Di was invited. We all have many threads we visit. BTW love your work on W & F's . We all vary on the insomnia problem. Mine used to be atrocious, now much better. But there still are nights LOL. -
I know what you mean, Sassy. Night before last, I didn't sleep at all. Last night, maybe an hour or two. Combine that with the taxotere SE of leaky eyes, I can barely see this morning. Oh wait, it's after noon now. And I live with 2 energizer bunnies. I had no energy before BC, now I'm lucky to scare up enough to make it from the bed to the recliner.
I don't know about the thing with the focusing on one thing solution for insomnia. I listen to music in my head, mostly Chopin, whole symphonies & sonatas and especially nocturnes. I don't play piano, but I've listened to these so long they're imprinted, so I don't even need earphones any more, I just hear them in my head. All freakin night.
I'm so tired. Thanks for the warm welcome.
-
Yea, finally Cami posted. So nice to hear from you Cami. Maybe you need a new computer. We sure miss you when you don't check in with us.
Hi Chevy, I can't wait to see pics of your Florida get together. Thanks for the nice comments on the pic that 2nd posted. We had a great time chatting and enjoying lunch at a Mexican restaurant. We arrived early and avoided the crowds. Grammakathy is on the local area inland empire get together thread. We were trying to talk her into joining insomniac thread. I hope she does. The bag I had was my leftover chicken taquitos and rice and beans, which I heated up for dinner. It was nice to meet up with 2nd again. Wish everyone on this thread could meet up. The rest of my paw family are doing well. My last 2 temp fosters got adopted into permanent homes
Annie Mae and Snuggs are my permanent babies and I have a new wire haired terrier girl I named Jules that I am in process of adopting into my home. I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.
-
Welcome Mags....I hear music too, but only when I first wake up. It sets the tone for the day. Usually a late 50's or 60's tune.
Welcome to all the other new people on this thread.
I read your story Chevy. It was really good and I'm so glad you are on this thread. Nice to see you and your husbands picture.
-
Chevy, watch the Flash mob video you linked. I love Flash Mobs. The way people smile that watch them and me too, NiceMags great, see you here too

@ must still be recovering LOL
Blondie yoohoo and waving
I need to get to work, or else I will loose my help by DBF. Mostly he works , I direct :)BBL
-
Sas, please check in on Susan. We miss her and if you have her info please tell her we miss her and send her hugs.
-
paws,I'll wait to see what the consensus is
. The point of a break is a need to separate for awhile. I don't want to breach that need b/c a break is something we have control over. Not much in our lives since beginning BC started, do we have control over. A premature contact could make things a mess. It good cause someone to totally pull away...permanently.
BTW. I picked up a virus. My tech buddy is working on my computer. I'm on kindle. Best money I ever spent

Going to check and see how they are doing. Bbl
-
This is just the BEST!
-

sending you all hugs, hope this week is a great one.

-
Chevy, that child is so sweet. It was so cute when he looked at his dad when he was probably told to wrap it up LOL. ThanksENERVA's Back Johnny !
Okay tech buddy fixed my virus. Couldn't tell when it entered, but it had invaded everything. My clue was the computer locked up three times this midday.. At third time, I said oops trouble and called my TB. In less than one minute he identified the virus, but it took from 1:47 till 3:40 to correct everything. YAY for tech buddy.(AnswersByMe). Five events since I purchased it. If I went to the computer store. I would loose the computer for days and the cost would be way higher. The third event paid for the entire cost of the two year subscription.
