Oh 2222222222! That is GREAT news! About your Daughter! I'm so happy for you guys! She'll be back.... xoxoxo
-
Hello all. Sassy was sweet to check on me today. Know I've been absent. Just life. Car went for major break repairs last week and then brakes froze up with burning smell when DH drove it to work - well part way - today. So I had to retrieve him as car was being towed away. Finished continuing education for my license. That is a BIG whew out of the way. Now I have the nastiest of nasty colds. Bedded down on the couch. Choked down some tomato soup and Ritz crackers. DH thinks I'm cooking chicken for dinner. NOT. Maybe a chicken TV dinner. I stock up on Stouffers bigger 30 oz. dinners when on sale. I think I have a chicken/rice in freezer. Sorry I can't speak to you individually. Strength waning more Nyquil.
Chevy when do you go to Orlando? That's the only thing my brain remembers happening.
HAHA Break - get it. Didn't proofread very well. But actually break is probably a better description. Car may break the bank account.
-
We are going on the 24th.... And coming home the next Monday..... Meeting Sass and Spookie on Thursday, the 25th.... come hell or high-water.... probably high-water, heat, fire-ants, love-bugs, gecko things, and humidity so much I will soak all my clothes.... Ha! But I will love it.... I'm anxious to meet the dogs too! My DD has Penny, and several cats that call their place home.... or more like a place to eat & hang out.... She has ONE.... named Jack, that every night he goes out scrounging the neighborhood, and brings them home presents, like candy wrappers, plastic bags, and insignificant things, but they must be his presents to them!
She takes pictures of his gifts every morning! MY cat used to bring home dead birds.... etc!
-
Oh please no high water! That could be a bad thing!
SCORE!!!!
I'm excited, and it apparently doesn't take much when Spookie got her new winter coat, she needed a new bow to go with I've been looking everywhere found one on Amazon last night for $15. Plus shipping. Like that was going to happen!!! Stopped at a new pet store today They had 2 perfect bows for 10 Cents EACH !!!!
WooHooo
-
Spookie that's my kind of price Lol Cheap cheep cheap cheep.Littlegoats, so sorry you have a nose cold. Hot Toddy time. tea ,whiskey, lemon, and honey. Wonder if anyone actually did a study. Any excuse right. Seriously, haven't done one in years, but when I did two , I didn't care about the cold. Suppose the effect is the same as with Nyquil, but you can't savor it. Hope it calms down quick. Those brakes sound like a foul up? burning up? It's always sumpin. You must have spent money on sumpin you wanted before the brakes had to be fixed?
DH and I learned as young marrieds to think about what might break when we were thinking about making a purchase. It always seemed whenever we bought sumpin, sumpin of equal value would fail. We got to the point we would make sure the same amount was in savings for the "whatever" as to the amount we would spend. Things have never changed. Just last month I bought 300$ worth of patio stones. What broke? The garage door lift. I'm 64 have no idea how much longer I'll have this house, but they are going to get a place that's updated for sure the way I'm going. Guess I should start saving for the a/c unit, it's about time. DBF thinks it should be done now. BUT it's only 16 years old!. That's old for Florida. Same thing in June and July, remember I had to buy two cars b/c the first one hurt me. Sheesh. BTW the hip pains gone. It was a very expensive lesson AND a very expensive seat. About a 13,000$ lesson.
Chevy List to do to see you, 1.Get waxed me not the car, 2.cut Shat's hair. 3 Iron something. Yes, I'm going to iron something. Don't often do that, but Smarrty wants pics, so I mustn't be wrinkly. Lose 30 pounds, hmm next week. Well that's off the list and this isn't the high school reunion.
Is Cami SICK?
If anyone here or lurking isn't checking in on Warm and fuzzy thread, you should. lot's of funny stuff. Maddy, Smarrty , and Spookie go there I know b/c they post. There's a transporter link in both topic boxes. Beam me over Scottie

Smarrty, you sound happy with your choice YAY double foob YAY.
-
Oh? So Spookie got a new Winter coat? What does it get down to? 80? Damn! You guys will freeze to death! I remember it was down in the 30's one time.... I just laughed my butt off!
Sass, I don't know where that Cammers is.... I thought for sure we would hear from her by now! I will email, to see if she is doing something we should know about. Or not.
Also.... you get waxed? For WHAT? Can't you just SHAVE like normal people do? Yes, let's lose 30 pounds like by next week.
And I can't barely even keep up HERE, much less post everywhere else.... Seriously!
-
Chevy it's really Smarrty's fault ! She sent every damn pound that she lost right over to my belly and hips!. I didn't catch on until none of my new skinny(well kind of skinny) clothes were getting tight. Now I'm huge. Feel 10 months prego. So pics only from the shoulders up. Hey, I had to wear socks and pants the other night to go to dinner. Yes, I get my lip and chin waxed now. Oh yeah, eyebrows too. Should have started right after the trouble of '09. Lol. First trip to the hairdressers to get the first curls trimmed, I had this really long hair on my FACE. Really long. How LONG? Many inches long. It was how could I not notice it. Oh yeah, can't see either.Blessings, your post about getting an audiogram LOL, rang a bell for me. I should have had an updated echocardiogram before the whole thyroid thing. This hypothyroid schtick is wreaking havoc on my cardiac status. So, I will get one asap. Damn our docs just don't protect us from nothing.
Blessings did some more reading on Dr Rinds web site. He's Holistic. Board certified in Anesthesia, but over his career went into pain mgt, and then migrated to Holistic medicine. He has a whole section on post head injury care. It's very interesting. I know it will be something you will enjoy. I'm looking at him for thyroid/adrenal stuff. He is a superb teacher.
-
oh no sass! Not my doing. You can blame the thyroid doc. Yes, I'm happy with the new PS. I still need to send her a thank you. I was really expecting the opposite when I went in.
Sewed Christmas stockings for foster kids today with my quilt guild. We do this every year for the last 3 years.
Enerva, how you doing? Staying off that bike? Is it getting cold up there? I'm going to Detroit next week for 5 days. We have always missed the snow, how we do this year too.
Anybody here from Tang?
I think most of you are in bed by now. See ya tomorrow.
-
Hi All! Thank you so much for welcoming me!
Patty, I certainly agree with you about being lopsided if you just go with one side. My BS said that I could spare my nipple on the good breast, but, after talking to the PS, I decided to skip that. Apparently, my breasts are 'very relaxed' and if I kept the nipple, it would be - well, pointing south next to the perky one. I guess I would be cockeyed!! LOL!
Luvmygoats, sorry you have a cold. I agree with SASS on the hot toddy or cold beer or wine... :-) Hope you feel better soon.
-
Nettie - there can be a strange chemical-type odor in the nether regions if there is the tiniest bit of bladder leakage. You'd notice it most when urinating or even taking a shower. The odor is not like urine, like you might smell in a nursing home, but almost metallic. Weird.
2TA - happy, happy, happy about your good day!!!!
luvmygoats - so sorry about your nasty cold. Tell DH to go pick up a rotisserie chicken at the store. Next best thing to home-cooked. And you can boil the bones to make soup!!!
Chevy - sending you out on a mission to find the Camster...
Sassypants - good idea on the baseline EKG. And thanks for the link to the holistic doc. Of course, I went to the "Brain Injury" section first
. Not sure I'm into Chelation Therapy, but interestingly enough, I do take a lot of supplemental magnesium along with my calcium, and next Monday morning, I go in for my SECOND round of Obstructive Sleep Apnea testing. The first test was run a few nights after my head injury, and I was in so much pain they couldn't get enough results. So now I need more sophisticated equipment, but still get to sleep in my own bed. DH has had his APAP ("Adjustable" CPAP) machine for a few weeks now. He won't go anywhere overnight without it! His has adjustable air pressure, plus a humidifier. He said he sleeps completely through the night instead of tossing and turning, and when he wakes up, he feels refreshed, and never feels like napping during the day. I want that! So maybe, just maybe, I may be getting some oxygen therapy of my own soon.
Smaarty - have fun in Detroit! It's true... here in California, we really don't have "seasons".....
Hi, SummerSun..... I had the same issues with my Original Girls. When I asked about "nipple sparing mastectomy", I was told that because the girls were huge and hung to my waist, the nipples would point due south from the get go. Needless to say, I didn't go that route....

-
envious about the get-together next week.
For the record, I lurk when I can. Funny thing happened when I was using the desk Mac (not laptop): my silly cat knocked over a small glass of water (she doesn't usually paw at the glass) and I think a small amount of water got in the keyboard, it was working for a bit, then some keys not, then all of them. Not my week for technology!

-
See you guys? She sounds just like me
now.... I have somehow influenced MotherMayI and she is sounding more like me
every minute. At least it's something I can understand.... instead of
all this DoctorResearchCollege stuff.... 1/2 the time I am lost... But she
knows this.... she keeps me here, NOT exclusively because of all my expertise,
but for my uncommon approach to life......Oh now there she goes, saying all big words and stuff...
like "people are migrating to holistic blah blah...." and we just smile and pat
her on top of her head, and say "okay Sass.... yes, that is powerful" and we
go on trimming celery or something. And Summer brought up nipples here....
My nipples are so relaxed, that they are always sleeping.... yes, you could say
relaxed, but that would be a nice way of saying I can't even SEE them unless I
DUCK tape them back to where they used to be....See, this is what happens if you are lucky enough to get
to be as old as I am... Things just go South! I mean the whole body just
relaxes and needs pulled in, taped up and shaved off.... like
Sass's.Blessings! Good Morning
OneWhoBoldsOurNamesSoWeCanAllFeelIncluded!YOU are so organized!
So glad your DH is getting some much needed relief now!
Next, we have to work on you!Oh Ha, ha! 22222222222nd! Ain't that a pickle? I mean
when we accidentally spill something on our electronics?SURE.... "a small glass of water!" SURE it was! It was
probably more like a 2 litre of flavored VODKA with 2 slices of LIME that
tumbled out of your hand onto your keyboard!Your "cat"..... SURE.... blame the cat.... you don't
even HAVE a cat... -

Getting ready for Orlando!
-
Well good morning to whomever is up. Had a bad night. Woke up peeing in bed. AAaaaggghhh! Went to bathroom to empty bladder and wow did it hurt. Drank water, dried sheets, changed gown. Made appt with my gp. Beck to sleep. Woke a little later. Emptied bladder again, pain. Drank more wate. Sleep. Woke at 6 am emptied bladder again, no pain. Cancelled gp appt. Going to call the chemo doc at 9. What the heck?
-
Ah geez ZZZZZZZZZZZ! I'm not sure, but sounds like you have a UTI???? Yes, go see someone! Get to feeling better FAST!
-
Ok ladies, I wasn't going to post the following, but since you guys brought it up....well....
Please note: If this offends anyone, I will remove it immediately!

-
Nettie - Hilarious! I'm at 1974 now. I guess I won't have to worry about that much longer. My DH doesn't like to say I am having a DMX, he calls it an add-a-rack-to-me surgery! He is awesome and has me laughing all the time. I wish I would have videoed him in the PS office after they left us alone with a giant pile of implants on the counter. I think he took every one of them for a test drive LOL!! I was in tears!
-
so funny Nettie, mine will never go there. With the new girls they should look like my 13 year DGD's, she starting to get a good set on her. I'm just hoping she doesn't end up like her other grandmother who has one of those pigeon type chest. Since she isn't even 5foot tall yet, she'll always look like she ready to fall over!
Chevy, you plan on having lunch with one of them gators? Haha
Blessings, you're sounding more normal all the time! Well, as normal as any of us.
Have a good weekend everyone. Thinking of you guys, 4sew, enerva, tang, and Susan.
-
Yes, I think my hubby was kind of hoping I would "go for it" (DMX), but it was not suggested as an option at the time! But who knows, this may not be over! I hope it is, but Summer, my DH would have been the same, he has kept it light at all of my appointments! Even sometimes through my tears! -
Absolutely hilarious cartoon!!!
-
Yes I have a bladder infection. Oh boy what joy. Just waiting for my chemo doc to call and let me know if I can take the med the local doc prescribed.
-
Ah geez! I was right ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! Your symptoms just sounded like that's what it has to be! You can still keep going to the Doctor though, because I can't fix everytthing.... Hurry and take your meds, so it will start getting better... and I think you should drink lots of water, take an aspirin, and call me in the morning....
-
Good JOb Chevy!!!!!Good luck ZZZZZZZZZZZ
-
Geez. Now we have to call her Dr CHEVY?
-
Yes.... that is what my new name is.... I'm getting things ready for my trip!
DD has a yard sale today and tomorrow.... We took a bunch of stuff over for her to sell, and keep the money. Then, of course, I had to buy some of the stuff she had that I had given her BACK! Like my Dad's embroidered pillow that he did.... AND her friends neat water-fall! It even works!
We took over these delicious breakfast burritto's, and had them with her, then we left, so I could go back home and get organied.
Has it snowed there yet Spookie? Has your dog's sweater been used yet? Sass, do you dress YOUR dogs? I will bring them a few bones.
-
Uh, no snow yet, although it is cooler today only 84. SPOOKIE has had it on once, just to make sure it fit.
-
Thanks for the advice Doctor Chev. I am still waiting for a call from my chemo nurse to let me know if I can take the antibiotic the doctor up here prescribed.
-
Praying it doesn't interfere with my next chemo on Monday.
-
Ask about cranberry juice, too. That's recommended with bladder infections.
-
Chevvyyyyyyyy if I knew you were sailing I would have asked you to find me a shell or a pearl... !
Off to dinner to meet DS and GF.
Everyone have a GREAT weekend
