I'll do my best to make it. Not sure my car would hold up all the way to Portland.....but perhaps I could take DH's.
-
Sounds like an excellent idea - my daughter & I would love to meet in Portland later this month or early June - we're fairly flexible. We're at mile 88 off I5 if 2 other "short-legged" peeps would like a ride. Martha & Diane
-
I'm a Portland gal here too ( well West Linn) but close enough...I would love to meet you guys!
-
So--weekday or weekend?
We'll meet in Portland/Vancouver, WA for lunch?
-
sure.
-
You folks figure out when and where. Once I know that then I can figure out whether or not I can make it. Retirement has not improved my availability - seems I'm busier than ever. I wonder how I ever got anything done when I was working full time???
-
I have an appointment in West Linn on June 24th, a Tuesday! I could be there that day, or the next? If that works for anyone else? I'd love to make it sometime to a get together. My son lives in NW Portland, so would probably stay there!
Linda

I am available after June 12th......
-
Have fun at the lunch - I'm only available the first week in June - After that all bets are off - but it seems like the majority is looking mid June.
-
Guess we all are having busy summers. Im on my way to Vancouver, WA for an early B-day party the grand kids are throwing me before GD has to go back to her mom. Son had her for 6 Weeks this time. I got 2 of those weeks. It is so hard for us to only see her once a.year. Anyway, just an overnighter for us, then back to Roseburg.

Hello ladies just came across this thread and wanted to say hi! Long time lurker now starting to post here and there, nice and yet sad to see a lot of you in Wa and/or the PNW.
-
Welcome Mulligan. Looks like you're finishing up surgeries. Hope you'e feeling OK. We've managed to play one big get together and another very small one. Hope we get to meet you at the next one.
-
Thanks Wren, would love to meet you all! I'll be honest, I'm shy at first but I do open up when I get comfortable.
-
Welcome, Mulligan.
Well, ladies, a summer meeting didn't happen. Shall we try again?
-
thanks juliaanna!
-
Mulligan, welcome to the group - hope we can set up a meet soon. We're experiencing car problems so we're limited on how far we trust our car to travel.
Martha
-
thanks mostlymom, I hear you about the car issues we bought a used car so that we could sell our van (no longer need the big vehicle) but the used car is sitting in the driveway needing a couple of hoses replaced luckily me being lazy, I haven't put the van up for sale so we've been using it for the time being.
-
Mulligan,
I've never met any of these ladies in person yet, hopefully a get together will happen sometime in the future.
-
thanks Monica, hopefully one day soon we can all meet.
-
welcome. Hopefully we will have a crazy meeting soon.
-
thanks gmafoley. I can definitely do crazy meetings. Hehe

Hi Mulligan! WELCOME!!!
we are practically neighbors! Kent is just a few blocks from me, so is F.W......most of my doctors are in Renton, Kent, or Covington!
3 of us NW ladies & husbands had a meet up about a week and a half ago in Seattle @ Lola's, when another BC.org lady was coming to town (from San Antonio) to go on a cruise......which happened to be on the same cruise I was going on.
Pictures are on the: "Can we have a forum for older people with breast cancer?"
3 of us had a meetup in Ketchikan last Thursday...fun!!!!!.....
we ALL have a special connection of "C".......I am basically pretty shy and quiet....but I can get crazy too! Right GG and Wren?....you know the "sign": ( ⊙⊙ )
Coffee sometime Mulligan?

Di how awesome, I'm on the cusp of Covington (have Covington zip code) but is considered Kent. Thanks for the warm welcome! Would love to meet up, although I'm more of a tea drinker.
I cannot guarantee starting lots of conversations as my mind tends to go blank when I meet someone, but I'm a good listener. I can usually keep a convo going I just suck at initiating the first couple of convos.
I tried to keep all my docs in the same area too kent/Covington/auburn (multicare) but I found a new MO in Issaquah that I'm much more happy with, it's a lil longer drive but worth it.
I'll have to check those pics out!
-
Welcome Mulligan!
-
Hi Maryah, nice to meet you!
-
In case any other PNW women are interested in traveling with a small group of women to Italy in June of 2015 from Seattle, check out my post about a special women's travel retreat in this thread.
-
Our side of the world here has been pretty quiet. I'm heading up towards Portland the 26th, if anyone want to have lunch or coffee, I'm up there through the week.
-
I'd love to revive this thread! Anyone still around?
-
Hi Inkster. I'm still around.
-
I'm still here - would love another get-together - maybe in Olympia???? Martha
