Hmm not sure juliaanna will make it first if she is coming from where i think she is coming from LOL. Either she will be doing some crazy driving or she is texting while she is driving. :O just looked at my gps incident on I-5 N just before olympia.
-
Ok NVM,she tricked me and we are on the way... WooHoo
-
Just got home. Enjoyed ou time so very much and so happy to meet each of you face to face.
-
Great to meet you too, and everyone else....and we were well behaved....no flashing or anything like that!
Oh two white nuckle drives in one day....I need a nap! Flooding on the side of our house, and our fireplace is "raining" and Redondo Beach is flooding Firemen sandbagging around houses.

Dropped off GMA at her car in battleground. I'm safe in my place for the night. So wonderful to meet you all. I sent a video to shells.
-
I had a wonderful time meeting everyone. Di, hope your house stays dry. The last few blocks to my house were like driving in a hurricane. I couldn't tell if the water was flowing into the sewer or coming out of it.
-
Ladies.....it was WONDERFUL meeting and connecting with you all.........unfortunate to be brought together for BC....but NICE to feel so relaxed and comfortable with each other!
I hope you all traveled home safely (and stayed DRY)....... I had lots of heavy rain all the way home, but I had to go out again to run some errands, and I was looking for Noah.....it was coming down so fast, and so hard!
Thank you Di for the party beads, they are hanging in my car on the rearview mirror they will remind me that i am not in this alone, and Gma for the bookmark, it went directly into the book I am currently reading, and will remind me of the same thing! You ladies are awesome! Next NWLadies should be down in Vancouver/Portland.....but let's do it in the summer......on a DRY day!
GMA....thanks for thinking of this!
XO to you all........ -
I was going to post pictures but forgot my cable. Will have to do it when i get home. I had a wonderful time!! I actually ate my lunch for dinner and it stayed down :-)
I guess the storm will actually follow us home and be the worst when we arrive there. Pray no leaks in the sunroom office. Let you know when we arrive. -
I really enjoyed meeting everyone. What a wild weather day! We stopped at a winery on the way home and gave them a little business as we figured that no one who wasn't already out and about would be going anywhere!
I hope everyone had a safe drive home.
I do hope that we get together again sometime.
Di how is your house? We are heading over to ours soon to make sure it made it through the wind and rain unscathed and hopefully without raining through either the fireplace or the skylights!
Jeannie did your hubby enjoy shopping? -
Still on my way home. Stopped at target being we don't have one at home. Went down this one row, two young boys moved to the side to let me by, i say "no worries, you aren't in my way." The mom started yelling at me and told me if i had a problem with her boys,to talk to her WTH??
I just didn't need that right now. Started crying after i walked away.Back on the way home in this monsoon. -
Gma, Congratulations on not slapping her silly. Sorry it made you feel bad.
-
I'm sorry I didn't make it this time. I ended up having a memorial service to attend for a dear friend and former co-worker, AND the originally planned wedding reception. It was a busy, busy, day.
I have to admit feeling a little relieved that I didn't have to drive to Olympia in that weather yesterday.
Hoping to make it next time.

GMA-I know it's hard to think in the moment, but I may have said something like, "Oh, I was just complimenting your boys on being so kind for moving over." Make that woman feel terrible for snapping at me. But that's just me. Kill with kindness-that's one of my mottos.

Here is one of the pic from yesterday.....

Mary,I did say something very similar, but she yelled at me more. Definitely got up in a pissy mood.
-
GMA Sorry the lady was nasty and made you cry....Here you are yesterday:

Loving the faces to go with the names!
-
GMA, obviously the boys did not take after their mother!
-
I have lurked here a time or 2, and I have to tell you how I envied your gathering yesterday. Just wish I could have been part of such a nice group of friends. I'm in the mountains in central California. I hope you ladies can do this again and often. Jan

So nice to meet you and put faces to names. Hubby did not shop but tried to work on his computer at Starbucks. GMA, I'm sorry that mom made you cry. Shouldn't have happened! You were so sweet to go to all that work on the bookmarks for us. Di, the beads remind me to celebrate LIFE!
Good health, ladies! -
YramAL, sending sympathies for your loss.
-
Thank you Jeannie. She was only 51 years old and passed away from uterine cancer.
How's everyone holding up in this current round of storms? It's just started really pouring here, along with the wind picking up.

I am so happy You all had a wonderful time
Praying for all the people having flood trouble
I love the group pitcure. Take care, Debbie

The storm was really raging today. Lost internet/cable but not power. The other side of the street has Pacific Power and they haven't had power for about 5 hours. I heard the transformer blow.
Corvallis has had a Fall Festival for 41 years, held on the weekend before OSU starts classes. Weather was so bad they cancelled Saturday night's activities and Sunday's. First time they ever cancelled it. I feel for the poor vendors who were counting on the sales.
Jan, if you are ever in Oregon, let us know. I'm sure we could plan a get together.
YramAL, My condolences on the loss of your friend.
Hope everyone is staying snug, dry and warm.
-
Wonderful pictures! And you ladies look great, thanks for sharing!
-
My daughter lost power right after we left yesterday - messed up their whole heat system - We survived the monsoon all the way home it didn't stop until about 3 this morning and now the next round is coming late this afternoon but the wind is starting already..
-
Thank you Juliaanna for driving me
And thank you all for making this Topic move! Hope we can do it again..
-
You are quite welcome. I'm looking forward to the next one with better weather
