I am really missing the Search option. I'll be grateful when they get that sorted. -
Thank you, Marple. Our tech team is aware of the problem and working to resolve it.

This thread is messed up, at least on Android. Don't know about pc.

-
Never mind, fixed now.
-
Well, that's bizarre. When I'm logged in, it's wonky. When I'm not, it's fine.
-
Looks fine on a Mac. Anyone else have issues with this ?
-
WOWZERS, the Search option now works. The speed is very slow again. Personally..........I'd prefer slow and be able to Search. -
Well, hopefully both will be resolved. Our tech team is re-indexing the discussion boards, which can take anywhere from 8 to 24 hours. This is the slowness that you are experiencing. Stay tuned..... should be better in some hours!

The search option isn't working for me. As a matter of fact, after it went screwy the search option at least yielded results for the last couple of days of posts....now nothing, logged in or out, keyword or member name. I know how you feel Marple. I'd take slow anyday. The search option is how I navigate around here. I'm really worried I'm going to miss out on some of our best researchers' posts.
-
we know, we're working on it. Stay tuned!

Gosh - I hope I'm not repeating a previous question....
In "My Profile/My Treatments" there are spaces to indicate that I started Arimidex on a certain date and discontinued it on a certain date.
Under that, I was able to show that I started Femara on a certain date, and quit it on a certain date.
But another member here just asked how I was doing on the Femara, and sure enough, my information at the bottom of my post shows start dates for hormonal treatments only - not stop dates. I went in, edited, put the info in again and saved, but still... no quit dates on hormonals.
Is there a reason my info only shows start dates?
I had to quit due to severe side effects.... I am no longer receiving any treatment at all. Why won't my profile indicate that?
Thanks, Mods!!!

Good question. Interestingly, we're not sure of the answer. Please let us get back to you!

Mods,
Spell check has taken a dive somewhere --- just left an entry and congradualting myself on not making any mistakes when I noticed there are loads. Any ideas.

Dear IllinoisLady
There is no spelling checker on posts in BCO.
However, it depends upon what browser you use to view the web. Mozilla Firefox has a built in spell checker and Chrome has extensions like Spellchecker for web “Grammerly for Chrome” – I just installed it, it's free and works fine.
Don’t know of other software, but others may feedback other options. What browser namer do you use?

Well, I learn something every day. I didn't know that about the spell check.
-
I have Windows 7 with Outlook Express and up till a couple of days ago I would get a red line uner a miss-spelled word, or sometimes the correct spelling would just arrage itself before I had a chance to do anything. I then presume something has updated ( on my end ) and now has changed and not doing such a good job of things. I'll see if I can apply and use the Chrome Spellchecker.
Sigh !!!! Used to be an ace on spelling but since the stroke and cancer -- egads. Have to be careful I don't get my name wrong.!!!!
-
Sorry, IllinoisLady, we completely understand how that goes. We really want a spell checker ON BCO! Plus, everyone is very tolerant of miss-spellings
-
Personally, I'd be happy to do my own spell-check if I could just more accurately identify the type of recon I had. I've been asking for well over a year.
-
Tried to put in the Chrome program -- have ended up with a bunch of unwanted software that doesn't wish to go away. I'm running some deletion progrmas now. Hope it all works out.
That said, I hope you can find a program for fixing miss spelling on here.

Lokos Looks like I may have things back to organized. I took a lot of material out of here and then reset IE as my default. When I purposely miss-spelled a word, it underlined it again. I may be back in business here. Somehow IE got tossed during some other change apparently. Seems like I don't have the problem now. Thanks

Glad that people are getting their spelling checkers working again.
For those using Macs there is a corrector that not only underlines spelling errors with red wiggly lines, but by clicking on the right side of misspelled words offers an option to correct it.
The Google Chrome extension "Grammarly" works similar in that roll over the red underlined word and corrections are offered to click on. It only has default US English though so for other languages, you will need to source a different extension to download.
For those using Tablets there are likely different Apps to give spelling checks dependent upon your hardware and browser - too many options to test.
Just remember that, when installing software Apps or programs, try to check feedback on it first as installing software always has risks from viruses, worms to just being non functional or difficult to remove. So and installs are always at your own risk.
Best of luck with spelling assistance. We all make typos, especially when wanting to respond quickly to a post and then feel embarrassed when we see the errors in our posts. Remember that you can edit your own posts anytime by clicking on the Edit link at the base of each post.

Misspelled words in my posts have a red squiggly line under them, but there is not a list of alternatives given.
I didn't install any programs to do this.
I am using Google Chrome as my browser.

Mods,
Spelling function still working just fine since I reset my Internet Explorer. I get the red lines and also by left clicking ,some choices to correct. Some words I use a lot will automatically self-correct. That threw me at first, but a great feature since I don't have to ALWAYS stop and correct. For some ( I'm in that list ) who were great spellers, it is a little horrid to see not only that you have mist-spelled, but sometimes the numbers of words. A big thanks for your concern and great suggestions for fixes. It's appreciated.

What is the reason that no posts can be made to "Lilly Pharma" wanting our help that was posted in the Stage IV forum? So Lilly execs wouldn't get an earfull should they happen to read here? Ya, I'm pissed. The worst of the worst trying to keep up appearances.

hi mods. There is a topic at the top of Lymphedema forum "Drugged to dementia" which does not have a "latest post" time stamp. Consequently it does not move down the posts and more importantly it blocks actual new posts from showing up on the main all topics newest post menu. Hope this makes sense.
Ps not sure what the offending post has to do with LE it seems off topic and only post ever by the OP but thats mod business not mine. Lol.

Hi Kareenie,
