Okay something weird is going on. Although I did several post this morning, and they are showing up on my screen anyway, it does not show that they have been added on either the active topics or favorite pages....in fact, when I look, it doesn't seem like any new posts have been made by anyone in the last 4 hours. Also on this thread it says there is a page 54, I can't get there. When I click on it or on "last' this page 53 is as far as I can get. I don't know if you will get this, but sending it anyway (and if you answer, I don't know that I'll see if since I can't get to the next page). PM message seems to still be working.

Mods - Can't access new posts.  Stuck on page 697 for the Can We Have a Forum for "older"....  Will not move ahead by choosing either 698 or "last".  Will not move ahead if I close the thread and go back to it later.  Thanks in advance.

hmm, something very suspicious happening....

When I go to My Favs, it has been showing the exact same thing for at least 2 hours:

I keep getting this exact screen for the past 2 hours (same 41 in My Fav Topics which can't keep occurring for that long). This is the first page and it's saying NO updates in 5 hours?? Can't be because we know BCO isn't quiet on for that long and I get notifications on my cell phone, and I have posted several times today. I logged completely out of BCO and logged back in and this is still happening. Please explain.

hmm, just checked again, while the counter has changed nothing else on the page appears to have changed. 

Now, I can't get to the last page (and I know I just submitted a post). What's going on? 

Going to try the ipad to see if this is happening too (have been working on the Mac for hours, maybe it's tired of BCO?)

Hi Mods, on the iPad now and don't know if you'll get this as I'm having the exact same problems as the Mac (but can't screen capture): can't get to last page and am seeing the exact same as my last screen capture/post. Am I the only one that's this problem? Cue the Twilight Zone theme.......

Good Morning Mods,

My active topics haven't updated for many hours. Also, when I post, I can't see my post. For example, in this thread, it says there are 54 pages. It will only access up to page 53. After posting this I probably won't be able to see it. Hopefully you can!!

I just went back to see if I could see the post I just did on this thread and it isn't there. Also, it shows the last active post was 6 hours ago. I know that's not possible. We are just not that quiet of a bunch!

This comes up when I try to post. It is happening from my iPhone and a public library PC...never had a problem before today.

When looking at the forums' summary "latest post", the actusl latest post and the one shown in the topic summary are different.

When I get done posting this and I go back to the summary of all the topics in this forum...my post won't show up as the latest one.

I've logged out and back in and it still happens.  I'm usong an Android mobile device here and I do not know the specific versions.

I am not getting any notifications of new posts to my favorites, for at least the past 15 hours, though if I go to the threads, I can view new posts. Also on active topics, one of the threads says -3 unread posts. Huh? I'll try to get a screen shot of that !

can't seem to see any of my recent posts. Also, not getting "red dot" notification of new posts in my favorites list. Check out the screen shot. "wife is desperate for natural..." Shows -3 unread posts.

Today the threads no longer show "New" or update when a new post is made. If I go into a thread I can see it but not just looking at the topic. I was wondering why no one seemed to be posting today. They are but it I can't tell by looking at "my favorites" page, "most recent topics" etc .

are aware of these issues and others, we are having technical difficulties, and the tech team
is on it, hoping to have a fix soon as the problems have been all day.

Still can't jump to the last page on the 'Lets Post Our Daily Exercise' thread, which is the only one I've tried so far since the fix.

* edited to add that I posted something, submitted it, still couldn't get to the next page & a couple minutes later when I checked back....there I was on the next page......

It seems that the site problems have been largely rectified. Functionality has returned to "My Favorites", Posting is working, but SEARCH is still offline.

Please report any other problems so we can pass these onto the Tech team. Although function has returned, we will be monitoring functionality.

Thank you for your tolerance as I'm sure you have missed the forum.

Please allow me to pm you. I am getting an message saying I cannot pm. You also sent me an email saying I had abused the "report post" privilege so I can no longer report posts. I have no idea what that's about since I can't remember having reported even one post recently. I am sorry to use a public forum for this, but you left me no other path. I did pm a lot today, but that was due to answering pm's regarding capriness'es passing.

If I read a thread when not logged in and click "Log in to post a reply", I don't get sent back to the thread I was on, but to some other thread. Shouldn't I be taken back to the thread I'm trying to reply to?

I'm using Firefox 30.0 on a Mac with OS 10.6.3—the computer is several years old, and to the best of my belief, the OS is upgraded as far as it can be. I haven't checked to see if the same thing happens with the Safari browser. Have other people noticed this, or is it just me?

Sorry, I just logged out and back in in a test mode to see what you meant, however, after logging in you are automatically taken to a Welcome page. You can then use your BACK PAGE to step back to where you were. The site is mainly designed for members to Login on arrival and the site can only be structured to function a limited amount of ways. Sorry, but to code the site to do what you want would be very difficult.

Yes, with different browsers (Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, etc) on different hardware (PCs, Macs, tablets, phones) the site will render or appear differently and have slight differences in some minor functions - very complex nowadays with so many browser/platform combinations - but the general functionality should be the same. Feel free to point out any problems giving browser and hardware specs so we can pass that onto the technicians to assess and diagnose.

Feedback is valuable to us.

This is so minor I'm almost embarrassed to mention it.  And that is my point, the emoticons, could the 'embarrassed' one and the 'crying' one be reinstated?

I second Marple's request. Even though it is totally minor in the scheme of things; I REALLY, REALLY miss the old emoticons and the bigger range they offered us. The present ones are so limited, and so odd that I still have never figured out what half of them even mean!
