Hi 😀,
Sorry for abscence, EDI been to Holy Island caravan again for over a week!! Last minute and unexpected holiday. It was blissful.
Read when I could get wifi which was hardly ever. Thought about you all when gazing at the sea and breathing in the healing air.
Morwenna, just have to say how relieved I am for you. We could be twins. Lumpy boobs and worry warts 😊 I just try and let all symptoms wash over me, had second annual mamo on Wednesday last, and not even second guessing the results.
All of you sound lovely and busy, photos so lovely.
Momof, you could be one of our royals in that glorious hat. 😃 you made an amazing job of the wedding.
Adagio, awful news about DD's injury, sure it will all be all right on the day.Pictures please 😄
Liefie, sound like a movie star. You need the rest now. Em such a cutie. 😉
Movie, lovely to hear from you Sorry about your Mom, so sad for you.
Alive, wow how time flies but we are all still here yay !! 😁
Nihahi, websister, Dakota, Jennie, Caitlin think of you all last thing at night and I am so grateful you are all in my life.
Battery low so must go xx
-
Mo…Such great news! But we have to be worry warts because that is the only way the doctors will listen to us. But it is wonderful that you do not have to worry tonight!
Yay, Edi is back!
Adagio…tomorrow is the big day ( or I should say the first big day). Hope the rehearsal dinner was delightful and tomorrow will be glorious for all. Congratulations to the bride and groom….pictures please
So tomorrow is the last day of travel…455 miles to go!

hi I got my tests results 5weeks ago had op on 3rd July radiation on 20th next month I was told it was 2nd stage in my left breast but had a letter about my radiation and said when they opened me up it was 1stage so glad took lyth nods from under arm ,iam 66 last month eat chicken fish go swimming 2times aweek donot smoke or drink so yes this was a shock to me too.the Thoth glands were clear so nearly there you will get over this I still have my moments when I cry when taking to family hugs to you all the best xxx
-
Hi 😎,
Momof, please keep safe on your long journey.Love the photo of you at the cottage and your hair IS fantastic.
Adagio, how did rehearsal dinner go ? Something we don't do here, love the way you fit it all in with everything else going on.
Sun shining here, tail end of hurricane Bertha tomorrow. Doing laundry like a mad woman today, machine packed in a week ago and new one arrived yesterday. YAY !!
Dryer making funny noises earlier but a prayer to the saint for hopeless cases seems to have done the trick.DH doesn't ever do laundry but spent yesterday hovering over me wanted to shove him in with his socks and undies !! 😬
Love holidays but it takes a week to get over them.
New treatment for BC being rolled out here soon hopefully. After lumpectomy a round ball like instrument is put in site of tumour for a short while. It delivers all the rads needed, no more up and down to the hospital every weekday. Do hope it starts soon.
Have Gd later, will put her on pegging out duty she is very good at it. Only thing she insists on is matching pegs on each item 😮
Bless you all and keep you safe xx

GD hard at work 😀 while Nana poses in her first pair of skinny jeans ( do I hear laughter ? )

-
Edi you look fabulous! I am envious of your skinny jeans. Now that I am "home" I need to work on getting back into mine…LOL (will never happen)
Toulula…welcome to our chatty group! Sorry you have been forced to join this elite club, but you will travel the journey with support from us. Just take it day by day. When you feel down, we are here to jump in your pockets. And when you feel silly we are here to join in the fun.
I must say, returning home after 12 weeks was very interesting. "Is this my house?" I have forgotten where things are stored and had to relearn how to operate the washing machine. The yard looked wonderful, but inside lots of dead bugs and spiders to vacuum up. But I got them all cleaned out, and my bed felt sooooo good last night. I have had my coffee and I am ready to GO!
Adagio…I was watching the clock in the car on the way back, yesterday. I was wondering if you were having a fabulous time. The day after is so strange…at least it was for me! But now you can get ready for #2. Enjoy every moment!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Hello beautiful ladies!

Tolula, welcome, sorry must have sent my post and it crossed with yours.
Don't despair, stay positive. I was same age as you when diagnosed two years ago this month. It IS such a shock but it looks as if you are doing really well. Any questions please ask 😀
Momof, so glad you back home safe. 😁 even though we were only away a week I felt strange when back home but OH the joy of your bed. 😄 My hip was really aching whilst away, one night in our bed and pain went !!
Adagio, how did it go ?
Been up since 5 am, heaven knows why, but now eyes closing at 3pm.Tail end of hurricane seems to have missed us, touch wood.
Going for a nap while Sunday roast cooks. 🍗🍲
Love to everyone. X

Thank You ladies! I am a bit partial! lol...
momof - Thank you! You look fantastic! Beautiful wedding! Don't know if you have made it to GA yet? but, be safe! I was going to respond about DS. He is going to go to University of Tennessee Knoxville. A long drive, but worth it!
And since he won't be commuting, I'm already working on our plans for the Holidays!! Edi - skinny jeans look FAB on you girl!
Dakota - that top looks soooo cute! Hope you have been well! Can anyone say where Traii is/went???
You all 'know' better than to ask a proud mother for more pics, lol... but of course I will oblige. One more, and this is Prom, just a couple of weeks before grad. His GF is a cutie and smart too... I only said that because so many say blondes...well...you know... hahaha *(And I can say that, being blonde myself, tyvm!) But seriously, she is a very smart and gracious young lady.

-
Alive…you have every right to be a proud Mom. Now get ready for "all things ORANGE". Seriously, Knoxville is ORANGE…but they have a cute mascot named Smokey. Of course living in Athens, we love our Bulldogs and the colors Red and Black…no Orange allowed…Ie. Clemson, UT, FL, Auburn…they are always our toughest opponents in football. Remember, to send a care package of brownies and other goodies on a regular basis. My DD graduated from college in 2007 and she still remembers care packages! The GF is adorable, too…hope their relationship survives the long distance of college.
OMG…I wrote this hours ago and forgot to submit…LOL
Yay for a new week…take care everyone.

Hi everyone - we got back from vacation yesterday afternoon and now I am able to sit and catch up a bit. Like Edi our WiFi access was not good, if we could get on it was very slow.
Touloulah - welcome, glad that your stage was better than initially thought and lymph nodes clear
Edi - you look great in your skinny jeans! Good to read that you have a new washing machine, wondering if you succumbed to the temptation to throw DH in
. I was trying to figure out what 'pegs' were, the pic of GD helped - we call them clothespins Liefie - glad you are taking the time to rest, read, relax - loved all the Facebook pictures, Emily is growing very quickly - such a cutie!
Morwenna - glad that you didn't need the biopsy, hope there are no more potholes. Do you have a date yet for your DIEP?
Adagio - hope all went well for DD's wedding, hope you are able to post some pictures soon
Momof2 - loved looking at the wedding pictures and loved your hat. Glad to read you are back home and settling back in. I have been doing laundry since we got back and hope to have everything pretty well back to order by end of day today.
Alive - so good to hear from you again. Congratulations on DS's graduation. He looks so young - very cute couple, loved your pictures
Nihahi - looking forward to Thursday!
Dakota - you look great!
Jennie - hugs - I feel far from moving on myself - DIEP looming on the horizon and still battling tamoxifen side effects etc
Take care everyone
-
Alive, cute pictures - oh, to be so young again . . . they are a beautiful couple. College is something else again. My kids are all done with that too, and are now very grown up - lol.
Edi, you sexy granny you! Those jeans look so good on you, really.
Jenifer, yes, there's no place like home, eh? Care packages is a good idea. Still remember the ones my mom sent me when I was in university.
Toulula, welcome here. This is an amazing group of women who will advise you, console you, encourage you, and rejoice with you.
Adagio, you must still be in recovery mode after the weekend? Hope it all went well. One down, one more to go!
Websister, glad you had a little break. Re Tamoxifen effects, these last few weeks I wake up with an uncomfortable feeling in my feet every morning. After walking a little, it gets better. Not painful, but I'm sure it's another of Tamo's gifts . . .
A good day, everyone!
-
hi all - the wedding went great - I am still surrounded by tons of family, so lots of work. However, we are all on the Sunshine Coast for a week in a great place right on the beach and I have told them all that I am not cooking, so everyone is pitching in! There are 16 adults and our 2 little grandchildren - a full house. Still reading the posts when I get the chance! Take care everyone.
-
sounds like lots of good news and relaxing summers all around. Had a lovely get together today with Benny, Morwenna and Websister. Wish everyone could have been there with us.
-
'Twas great to see you all again, ladies
xxx -
thanks for making sure we had our picture taken, Nihahi - it was very lovely to see and visit with you all again. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have had everyone there! We will have to aim for that - hopefully one of us wins big at bingo or a lottery
-
You Calgary girls all look amazing, happy and smiling. Nihahi, is that a glimmer of some cleavage I see? Good for you, girl! Took you a very long time to get there, so enjoy being 'normal' again! Love the short hair too. Tres chic!
Adagio, you were very clever to organize a getaway after the wedding, although it seems everybody got away with you - lol. You deserve a breather, so let them work!
-
Oh, ladies you look fabulous. Benny I miss reading your posts, however, I am happy that you are staying busy.
I want my hair like Benny's!. How long must I wait ? It has been 6 months PC and I have about 1.5" of gray curls.
Went back to the PS this week to have a look-see. I had my post pictures taken…OMG the before and after BMX pictures are horrible. But the before and after eyelid surgery are amazing. I had some heavy bags under my eyes! So at the end of the month I am going to have some excess fat removed from the BMX. Then I should be finished; I hope.
So next summer, perhaps I can make it to Calgary. Lake Louise is on my bucket list!
I returned home to a guest room filled with post wedding stuff. Wish I could find a bride that needs lavender. So that will be my mission for next few weeks…find a home for all the reception stuff.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
-
Hi😎,
Nihahi,Wow the picture is amazing !! You all look so fabulous.Any one new on here take note, this is the light at the end of the tunnel 😀. Hair loss, chemo, rads along with various surgeries and look at these ladies !!!
Adagio so glad all went well. Please make sure everyone pulls together and let's you relax.Pictures please .
Momof, put lilac stuff on e.bay sure someone will buy it and be thrilled with it. 😁
Websister, good to have you back. DH hasn't been shoved into machine yet but temptation is very great 😬. Love our language difference 😀 clothes pins/pegs. I also love dish soap here, washing up liquid.Always was confused by rest room/bathroom too.
Liefie, are you back to normal ? Must be so quiet in your house.
Today went to summer fair with ED and GD. Then on to sing at wedding. Really young couple, bride looked like Princess from Frozen, tiny, beautiful ,blonde and in a fairytale gown.Groom couldn't take his eyes from her.Afterwards choir went out for lunch it seems the bride almost didn't make it to the wedding, she has been diagnosed with BC !! Church was packed with people showing their support. What a dreadful start to their marriage.
Sunday tomorrow yay !! Hope you all well and happy. Xx
-

At the summer fair admiring fairy lanterns, guess what Nan has to make now ?

-
Oh, the bride with a BC diagnosis. That is just hard to accept. I am being asked to testify at the upcoming hearing for my friend who is married to a bi polar, sociopathic cockroach…and the other woman who has been asked to testify as a witness is having a BMX on Aug. 26th. So it will probably just be me…it is almost appearing to be of epidemic proportions. The "pink washing" of October can already be seen here. I really do not like the month of October.
going to do some errands…take care…good to read posts from everyone.
-
Thanks so much for the wonderful picture! You all look fantastic! Oh, how I wish we could all meet in person.
The hair will grow - it seems like forever, I know. Benny & I were going through chemo at the same time. I think hers is a bit longer but I have the same crazy chemo curls! So weird. It was perfectly straight before. Ha!
Momof, you are one year behind us, you will see, it will be that long in a year. I stopped wearing hats at 4 mo PFC and it was not even 1" long yet. It seemed to grow so slowly at first. Are you taking Biotin? It's supposed to help, can't hurt.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today is the 2 yr anniversary of that "routine mammogram" that turned my world upside down. I got the official diagnosis a few days later after the biopsy but the mammogram tech knew, they told me it was cancer. Trying to keep busy and focus on the positive.
-
So glad I popped in! What a terrific picture of the Calgary crew-you ALL look fabulous!
Edi-loved your pictures as well as your narration of your trials with DH...... I MISS being here!
Love you all....and as Dakota says-Muah!
-
great picture !!!!!! Lazy Sunday morning so far..... Baseball tryout for next year and DS birthday party, 3 months late, later tiday then graduation party.... Never ends !!!! Gotta get off the couch and go for a walk or something !!! Love to all !!!! Muah

-
OMGosh! My daughter is in Okatoks this weekend. Small world. I just returned to Maryland after spending the summer up in that part of Canada.
I already miss the wonderful dry air!!!
-
First of all know that you can beat cancer at any stage.
You can also go to the Inspyr support community much
like this one where people discuss about treatments
and learn from eachother.
There re many things you can do besides or in combination with radiation or chemo
and surgery.
A few examples are lycopene or you can roast tomatoes
to get more of a lycopene boost.
Start drinking lots of fruit and vegetable smoothies.
I could go on but this will help -
Morwenna.....hope your dragon boating this weekend up in Edmonton went well!
-
Here's some HAPPY NEWS for those of you not on Facebook ....... Our little cat, missing since the night of July 13, is now home, safe and well!!
On Friday evening some kind soul called to say they had seen my ad in Kijiji, and he believed our kitty had been hiding out in an empty, fire-damaged house, some six blocks away from us, for at least the last week. He managed to catch her and brought her home!!!
She had a few minor wounds, pretty well healed, with no sign of infection, and she was thin and exhausted, but otherwise well.
When we met up last week, I was pretty sad, just about accepting we should never see her pretty little face again!
Oh, and the Dragon Boating was super fun, too (although I needed to get home and see Molly!). And this weekend we have the Calgary Festival!
-
Mo...So happy for you and Molly! Poor baby, I know she is glad to be home. Love to hear good news!
-
Mo....wonderful news about your kitty. Hope the weather improves for your Calgary festival.
-
Hi. Hope you are doing well now Benny because I am freaking out. I see your post was 2 years ago. I don't have much information and I need HELP.
