WHAT did she just say?
-
-
Dare I ask what that picture means?
And what did who say?
-
mornin' owls! IDK why but thought of us when I saw this cartoon. Just keep swimming, the 'puter takes us to our island retreat, where there's room for all (not just one guy under a palm tree). ♥
-
morning all...
Badger, cute image
Chevy, WTH ???? I have no clue what that is, a guy floating with a pipe holding up his head? Makes no sense to me....
I am back home, the beach was a wonderful retreat. Playing in a golf tourney today & tomorrow. Meeting SIL & niece for breakfast...
Tang, where you are right now is when I crashed & burned. It's super common to struggle when chemo is done. Have you started rads? I think you were asking about lotions.
FiercestBlueBird, one day at a time, is there any pain pills you can take? You are in my thoughts often.
BBL......going to be late, It was easier when I was bald to get ready, now I have helmet head....lol...
-
chevy, so proud of you. I knew you would get it. hope it,s 8.1 versus 8. Likely is. The upside down question mark? On the kindle each key has the main symbol, then the second symbol is in the top right corner. When you hold the key for several seconds other symbols come up. I decided to be silly and use it.
Wonder who uses upside down question marks? this Hp, when the key is held, 8 symbols come up. Some pretty strange. Varies per key.
heheh entendre. funny girl chevy, you do them all the time too.
badger wouldn't that be nice. No care or worries, have someone take care of everything. Like House Eleves in Harry Potter.
Cami the dogs were from a video during the winter vortex. Love that video. Pure joy. The Kalamazoo owners of the doggy day care, described the dogs on a rainy day and the ground is muddy. Oh my.
Jwoo Rotflol. I have finally learned that lesson and the new lesson to turn it on.
Slept no pills Yay.bbl have to find food
-
Well Cammi said she is floating, so that's all I could find!
-
Spanish speakers/writers use the upside down ?
-
Swiped from Warm & Fuzzy for you techno phobes

This is Bradley again, 8 days old. They brought him over for a visit on Thursday night, and I totally forgot I had a meeting to go to.

Too much??!

This is a response to someone by PM that has thoughts that I felt were appropriate for all of us.
From the inception of IT in never was just a night thread, I know I was there in the beginning and have posted ever since. In Dec.2013, I formally announced that it wasn't a night thread. Please reread sentence in topic box.
My four week break was hell. I was outside the MATRIX. If you can please watch the MATRIX with Keneau Reeves, the first episode. Think of KR as me outside the Matrix, seeing everything happening and NOT being able to interact to some really horrible things happening.. For example, Tangs infection. The antagonists in the Matrix are the Mods. What I'm suggesting is that there is a conceptual comparison. A several time viewing might be helpful. The goal is to better understand human behavior not to ruffle the mods. Because of that whole experience, I better understand human behavior. So, even though it was a difficult experience I am better for it.
But that is only a small component of what I am trying to convey
"some members don't even bother to read prior posts". IT moves so fast, it is very hard to keep up. But each that posts wants to still be involved with the thread. They each manage it in their own way. I know I want to respond to everyone, but memory of each post flies away as I read. My observation is that each posting person has particular strengths. When something is posted by another member that speaks to their or my strength, we can and want to help by posting to that particular "situation". Sometimes the best we can give is a hug or thinking of you comments because we can't help solve an issue, but care a great deal.
Sometimes our posts are just an update of what's up with us because that's all we can manage at the moment.
The thought that the thread now is only like another thread and that people crosspost. Whether it is or not, or whether people crosspost is not important. Wherever we are at the moment we post is somehow important to us.
Threads evolve. Those that post on a thread change as their life circumstance or interest change. For example, there are a number going through active treatment. They naturally would seek those in active treatment because of there need to understand what is happening to them. That is one of the beauties of BCO. There is a thread for almost everything. If we can't find a thread, we create one. Just as I did with this thread. I can't see the topic box, but fairly sure I didn't create it in the middle of the night.
I'm posting this also, on IT without any identifiers because it speaks to thoughts I have seen expressed by others.
We are here because we want to be, and we manage the best we can L&H&P's sassy.
-
Hi someone expressed a concern about above. I've met my limit for PM's for today. The above isn't meant as a negative. But the person's concern indicates it may be perceived that way. Sorry, You know I can sometimes sound to serious.
-
Hi Sassy, limit's suck! Yup, you're serious when it comes to info, otherwise funny too. Hoping all is right with the world (because I'm living in craziness right now).....
-
Wish I had a magic wand to make it all better.
That's for everyone! Gentle ((hugs)) ♥ to all
-
I know I can't respond to everyone's post. No way no how. But I do read them all unless my internet hiccups which is rare. I go back to the previous page frequently. I know I could be better at lending an ear, giving a hug, a fist bump. We all get wrapped up in ourselves but that is the way we are made and wonderfully made I believe with all my heart. I also believe you cannot, not no way not no how, take care of anyone else very well if you're not taking care of yourself. Doesn't mean you can't care or express that care but self care is #1 primo. Nope Sassy you created it in the afternoon Apr 8, 2011 12:45PM.
Gosh Saster wish it was enough hay. Maybe 3 months, maybe if we get more rain and I can graze them a bit more. But have seen 2 other ads on Craigslist today so maybe one of them will have hay on Tuesday. But am down to 11 - won't share sad details but it was just their time. Mr. Bucky still here. Don't see that I'm going to sell him now. Too afraid he might be shooting blanks - they start doing that early. I think he is nearly 7. No not pheromones. Males pee on their beards to attract females. Gosh knows it would not attract me. I could go shave it off but the fight is just not worth it.
Hah Spookie told you so. The high predictions for next week are slowly rising. But today it was only 96 again. It might have hit 100 at DFW. Nice breeze though.
Smaarty - remind me your relationship to that cutie patootie Bradley.
Saster - can you get PMs tonight or is all PM in/out limited?
-
In case I have hurt anyone's feelings by ignoring their posts - it has been unintentional. This thread moves SO FAST sometimes, that I simply cannot keep up. I try to read everything, but if I'm 5 or 6 (or more) pages behind, I know that I won't manage it and just skip to the end.I ALWAYS respond to PM's, though, so if I've ignored you (unintentionally) and it's something you actually do care about a response from me, please PM me and also please accept my abject apologies for missing your original post.
-
LMG, wWELL very glad peeing on beards didn't evolve in our men. I won't be able to quite look at a goat again LOL. With Mr Bucky, I know you didn't really want to sell him, so, all has turned out well? You did mention you had another male I think, but you didn't ever say his name that I remember. If that memory is correct, then mr bucky must be special. With the girls do you milk them? Cheese? Bluebird had goats too, but had to part with them. Goat people are attached. How would you describe why? Glad you find craiglist connection. Sounds like it could get pricey to feed your babies.
When I started IT we did 14 pages in 36 hours. It was like a chat room, but then it slowed down. My head was spinning cuz I was there for most of it.
I can receive Pm's, but my response in 24 hours is 4. So, far hasn't been an issue. An issue would be if it was a nursing /medical question that someone needed a now response. But if that ever happened I'd figure something out.
Off to eat
-
Gardengumby, I feel the same way. I just pop in every so often, try to read as many posts as I can, and just leave a post myself. So if I ever missed responding to anyone, I apologize. This thread moves fast.
Hey 2nd, hope you're doing ok. It's hard to live in craziness.
Sas, I didn't know there was a limit on pm...Geez....
I'm kicking back and resting today.
Hugs to all of you on this thread. I hope you're having a nice Saturday. I'll check back in later.

-
OK SasMaster PM sent, said successful. Not medical - no worry. Can wait until morning.
No I just thought if I sold Mr. Bucky (have to be to acceptable home) I could open up his field. His companion "male" is one of the sad stories - had to have him put down some kind of cancer tumor of the throat. I do have another big boy (year old) that will move over there come winter just so when Excalibur - his real name we call him Exie - can't/won't come out of his barn d/t weather he won't feel alone. I think right now he sleeps out front of his pen and he can see the does in the next barn. He shares a wall with them and fenceline. I birthed no babies this year - too expensive last year so the ladies and the 2 leftover males (bucky and neut. male) will just age in place here. So no - no milk, just bills. But they are certainly less expensive than last year but hay is more expensive. Not a clue why since we've had much more rain. I can buy hay in the field 60# bales $7.00. Bought 100# bales at feed store $26. Just have to time it right but I will have to pay a little more ($8/bale) for put up in the barn. Difference of a couple of days but DH only has Tues. off and balers will have barned it anticipating rain. I drive the truck, DH gets the job of loading hay. One place we went last year and where I hope is where we go, the seller actually helped load it.
I only go on Craigslist to look for hay and when I attempted to sell Mr. Bucky. Too many temptations for me.
Off to find leftover meatloaf from last night.
-
SAS - you lost me. Was that some kinda code ? Hmmmm.
Maddie - sorry everything is so crazy. Hopefully will slow down soon.
Fbb. ((( hugs )))
Hi all. Hootie hoo
-
well I get to blame all of you who got new computers. I bought a new one today! If I'm lucky I'll get it up an running by next week.
So the latest on the apartment, most of the bedroom is packed and like everything else, way too much of everything! 2/3 of the books are done, we think things that have to be packed will be done by the end of the week. Then it's all the big stuff to take to storage. This is the wall that had all the DVDs.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
-
Yea, I'm confused on what's going on with sas, don't understand at all that she has limits??? but whatever is just is!! I too read all, but there is no way I can remember to respond to everyone!!
Just a bit of news from me...I think I posted before that both of my children are expecting their second child and my son had a gender reveal a few weeks ago and they are having a girl! My daughter had the reveal tonight and she is having a boy!!! So each of my kids will have a boy and girl and I will have 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!
-
Nettie. Very exciting. Congrats !!!!
-
congrats Nettie. Are they close enough to visit often? Have you ever gotten to watch a childbirth? Kind of neat and also scary.
-
Yes, they are both close but my daughter just lives two houses from me and my son is about 15 minutes!! and yes, I was in the room when my daughter had her first!!
