It's my party and I'll cry if I want to cry if I want to cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you.
Could be BC theme song.
-
I do! It's Lesley Gore and 'It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To'!

Edited to add: Actually I think Wham-o-matic was the maker.

-
wow blessings. Hugs and prayers
-
My Mom used these.
-
-
Wow......so did I.......................years ago this was a curling iron...I was a little kid, and my mother used this on my hair......you sat it on the stove flame to heat it....lucky I have hair today.........
-
WOW Ducky. I've never seen a curling iron like that. My Mom said in her day they would use an actual iron and ironing board to get their hair straight.
-
My mom was a bobby pin whiz. Then she'd put on a wig as they were stylish in the 70s wish I could find a pic
-
Something like this. And she had hair
-
Maureen, my Mom had that style too. She also had a wig when she didn't feel like doing her hair. She would take the wig to the hairdresser!
I remember the styrofoam head she kept it on would scare me as a kid. Then when I got older, I drew a face on it.
-
Hahaha I have one of those styrofoam faces for my wig. I have to turn it around or the dog barks at it all the time.
-
Yep, I ironed my hair! It was too wavy so when it got long enough, I'd put wax paper over however much amount I had put on the ironing board and ironed right over the wax paper. It worked! Put those big curlers on the end to make it flip up, tease it, spray it and there you are - big flipping hair!
When I got out of high school, I bought a platinum curly wig (my mom wouldn't let me get one) and I wore that thing out. Loved it. Didn't have to iron so much
-
Oh, I remember ironing my hair and the smell if you got it wrong! We also used soup cans as hair rollers (with both ends cut out). I couldn't find an exact picture but something like this....
