Does anyone remember the Peignoir Set your Mom gave you at your shower too........even came with matching slipprs.....
-
Now you know you own at least 1 piece of this stuff......got rid of 3/4 of mine...LOL
-
All my kids and grandkids played with this.....we had 2 and played against each other to see who was the fastest...........
-
Who remembers the games we played at Tupperware parties and the winner got one of these.....LO
-
I still have the original hat box from Amelia Earhard round hat box
Remember that?
Wonder if it's worth anything??????
-
Boy, the coke bottle with the shaker top for ironing brought back memories big time, but my Mom used an Aunt Jemima syrup bottle for this. They actually included the shaker top with instructions to use for ironing when the syrup was all gone. I used to iron for her when I was a kid and I remember using that green labeled bottle with the green shaker top all the time. I am 59 and most of the things posted here bring back memories for sure. Thanks for the thread Ducky and for the memories...such a simpler time. Or at least it seemed so...

I remember the laundry soap that came with a towel. SharonMH

Used to sell tupperware! Finally ran out of friends and friends of friends who wanted to have a party so I quit...lol I still have a lot of the stuff. Love it! Lifetime warranty Ducky so you should never throw it away!
-
April had so much I gave a lot away and still have a lot......lol......the BPA's scared me..........so much crap about that, and when you store it with the lid on, and then take it off......WOW, you can smell the plastic......I use Lock n Lock now......but still have Tupperware....
-
Oh, that round bag and the makeup kit! I'm in heaven. This is my favorite site! It cheers me up when I need it and all the other times!
-
Ducky, since there is a lifetime warranty, you may be able to get replacements for the pieces you own that contain BPA for the newer non-BPA plastic they use now? Not sure if you can, but hey, why not send them an email and find out? Can't "hoit" as they say in Jersey...not that I am from Jersey but have a good friend who always says that who is from there...LOL
-
I still have this pot........it is 58 years old, and I still use it for sauce/gravy, and soup............and i know everyone remember this roasting pan black with white specks...if you didn't own one, your Mom or Grandmom did..........I had one.....
-
Imagine....today we have the Keurig...........
-
My mom had one of these sewing baskets when I was very young. She still has it and she is 83 years old now.
-
I had one of these for many many years, don't know what happened to it now. I loved it. Yes, we have Keurig, but this was much classier looking, don't you think?
-
My dad used one of those old percolators that cooked on the stove right up until he died. Good heavens ducky, I never had such a beautiful set wedding night clothes - mine was white and long but not fancy. Loved Tupperware parties! And a round hat box from Amelia? You should go online and see what that is worth!!!
-
We got married at the courthouse. One week long engagement, we'd only known each other two months and a week. Last winter, for a cruise, I finally got my peignoir. It was black and lacy and showed off my DDDs. Spent a bunch of $ on it, guess I'll give away to someone who still has boobs.
-
I remember that all of our table tops had these!!! What a pain to dust and they had to be starched and ironed. You can still buy these on Amazon.....but heck, you can buy anything there.

Mrs. P, Were they called doilies? I thought that's what my Mom called them.
Remember the pressure cooker?? We had one just like this one. I still have the bottom but not the top.
-
Hi Slow, my mom called them "dresser scarves". Hated them so much along with all the "crap" my mom would put on the tables and dressers. She had a collection of salt and pepper shakers that adorned every level space in our home. My home décor is clean, modern and sparse. Some people think we are in the witness protection program. LOL.MsP

Does anyone remember the hand crocheted tablecovers.....these belonged to my great-grandmother...she died in 1957......I still use them........This is a picture of them
-
You got a face cloth but 1/2 a box less of detergent..........LOL
-
Lovely lace tablecloth Ducky. There is nothing more gorgeous than a formally dressed table for dinner with all the linens, crystal, silver and china. Drool! Sadly, my mother used our dinner table for her chotchkies. Oy!MsP

It's wonderful to see all these memories. Thank you ladies for sharing.

MsP - Witness Protection Program!!!!
I actually LOVE all the handmade dresser scarves I got from my Nana and my Grandma. I use them sparingly on antique pieces, but our decor is mostly light and airy and beachy... so I have a big tub labeled "Antique Linens"....
DH and I BOTH have those blue-speckled turkey roasters that belonged to our grandmothers!
But those pressure cookers? No way. My mom was terrified of hers, and passed along that phobia to me. Major kitchen explosion waiting to happen!
-
Blessings...........pressue cookers always scared me too.........Phobia from my mother too.......
-
I still remember our kitchen with dripping tomatoes all over after the pressure cooker exploded - fortunately, it was a small kitchen....
-
I have one of those turkey roasters, too, inherited from in-laws estate.
I have a beautiful lace tablecloth that was my mother's, it's Antwerp lace. It's packed away but I'll see if I can find something similar.
This kind of lace.

Anyone collect porcelain? The pink rose set is Occupied Japan. This cabinet hasn't an inch of space left now.
-
Love all the pics. Ducky I have the tupperware posting ball which my children had and my DD got one for her littlies.
I collect porcelain and will take some pictures.
