Morning owls. So the mole was nothing. Now I'm worried about my blood pressure. It was 102/75 yesterday, last Wednesday it was 110/72. It keeps dropping as I lose weight. Sass, what's too low?
Got go swim, BBL.
-
I've been trying to keep up with everyone, but I don't do a very good job! I read, but forget what I read by the time I try to post! Sometime, when I have more time, I'll post as I read, but right now I've been busy and when not busy, I've been resting trying to get this back stuff under control! Please forgive me!
Hope everyone is having a good day...and I remember someone is having to wait on test results...boo, and someone finished chemo...YAY...And for some reason, Sas was asking for permission or forgiveness or something about going out to play!!
Good day ladies!
-
good morning ladies. Glad to see so many people posting. Yea. I can go back to mostly lurking. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day
-
Smaarty - not Sassy but I'll take a stab at an answer. As long as you're not dizzy/fainty, losing balance (well any more than most of us seem to be doing - winky) or obviously bleeding out from something (you're not hemorrhaging) there is not really much too low. Make sure you're taking enough liquid (water) and that your supplement has sufficient sodium/potassium. I would assume since you're in a supervised program it does. Low is always better than high so long as you are not symptomatic. Athletes have low BP and very low pulse rates. Shows their cardiac function is great. Each pump of the cycle gives maximum that's why they sustain a low pulse. I would love to have your low BP. My chol #s are OK but BP is high, taking meds. Enjoy your swim. Glad moley was nothing to worry about. I was just thinking today I prob. need to go see my derm. Not sure if he's even doing "real" derm. since he went heavily cosmetic. But he's darn good and was keeping old pts for reg. derm. appts.
CamiCamera - so your big Hollywood debut is tomorrow, right? I would hope the answer to GolfGirl's question is yes that camera is able to take biopsy samples. Having not had one nor anyone close to me had one I'm not for sure. But would hope it would. That would be a SassyPants question.
Nettie - hah Snap, Crackle, Pop. So true.
Morning Patty. ArUSA - ?Arkansas.
I'm going to post this again. My favorite to listen to online. Had to drown out DH's shootem' up movie.
-
Off to have breakfast....
-
Good lord I'm ready to post GOOD MORNINGOWLETTES and it's 1:20 pm.Smarrty, Blood pressure is relative. LMG's hit allot of the points. Big question is what chemicals are you on? You've lost weight. The meds that were working for you at a higher weight are too much for you now. Please, send them by PM or post them. One of my punishments is limited PM's. They just didn't of course say how limited. So, may not be able to PM back.
I'll look in my storage place. See what I've already got written.
In the meantime, move slowly, don't turn the head rapidly side to side, don't get up fast from a chair or bed, and don't bend at the waist. Seriously, this is a common problem with weight lose and drugs.
Shucks nothing in storage. But doesn't add or delete from above
Chemicals please? i.e. drugs even OTC and herbals. Unusual activity since dizziness started? Even a difference of 20 LBs can gause a change with the meds
-
OH MOM a chocolate coke would be loverly, may I have some bread pudding with that with New Orleans style vanilla sauce? -
Cami the instrument that has the camera in it , also, has a channel for biopsy tool and a cautery( zapper) as needed. It's all in one , but very small. Ativan or valium would be good. Versed a wee bit, would be even better. But I know your fear of drugs. In your pocket tomorrow.
-
Krips I feel a sleep attack coming on. SMARRTY, I'll look for your list when I wake up. Whats too low----as LMG's said "anything that you are symptomatic with" But you just can't quit meds without doc okay and supervision. But we can help. Let's talk before any more meds this evening. Congratulations on the problem. It's a milestone . Think of it positively. You have lost enough weight that your body needs less chemicals to control it's functions YAY. Now you just need to get fixed before you fall on your head----- MUAHHow fast are you loosing weight? Could be too fast.
Peppermint No don't go lurking stay here Puleese, sassy

Yes.... I am MamaChevy...... And I am your inner-conscience. Don't forget that..... If you FEEL like doing, or saying something, make sure it is appro-po.... or whatever.
So that CammiCamera does other things besides just LOOK in there? It must be like that cryo-surgery stuff some of us have had done, that sends you through the roof when they attempt to freeze something in THERE? Okay, now I understand.....
Cammi, just drink lots, take pills, and take a head-set with loud music playing R-E-S-P-E-C-T while they are..... um..... "working." Will they let you watch some sort of porno movie while they are "working?"
Okay, now I have to listen to the LittleGoats video....
-
Cammi, I called, and this is the camera they will be using...
-
thanks lmg and sass. I've lost 22 lbs so far, about 1-2 a week. only drug I take is estrogen, .5 mg. nothing over the counter. Stopping the estrogen in 2 months when I start eating real food again. Don't get dizzy just feel off if I move to fast, yes especially from sitting down. Last weeks bp was 108/61. Yesterday was 102 over something, don't remember now. I did ask the doc last week and she was not worried about it. Never had bp issues before just never been this low. I weigh 182 right now. Hoping to get to around 160 by end of July when food comes back in. Ok enough about me.
SAS, does everyone still have to stay away from you, are you still glowing? How is the BF, you haven't mentioned him yet.
-
Sas, I agree with your friend, I haven't had luck but I am now with a second Ps and he seams to know what went wrong. Hoping he fix it soon. My previous ps was just not able to help me so I moved on. Wish other people have better luck with her than I did.
Now just waiting for this revision rurgery to try and get better results and move on.
I love all the pictures you ladies are sharing here is one I think it's a good one.
-
Enerva that's so cute.
Yes Chevy that second one I think is the camera after all if our parts can get a baby out of us then why not the other parts open to get a camera crew in? Right? Sas she told me she will do a biopsy or do anything in there that maybe should be or something like that---It doesn't bother me to be awake thru a lot of my usually put out tests cuz I just don't like to be put out so I prefer this and when I'm done I just get up and walk out, maybe a little bowlegged but I don't have to wait. But I don't get a cookie and juice then.
-
Cammi, I found the exact replica of the "camera/telescope" they will be using...
It's okay..... I'll have a cookie and juice waiting for you out in the hall....
-
Cami, I circulated on allot of women that were never given any sedative beforehand. Ironically, it was the belief of all the male docs over two decades(70's then 90's) that the women didn't feel any pain. The male docs ALWAYS GAVE THE MEN shots or had twilight anesthesia. Very sexist. Since someones driving you think about your regular pain pill. That should do you okay.Smarrty, Just looked up if estrogen could be the culprit. It can in a very round about way. My way of explaining it. If the body is feeling stressed b/c of the weight loss, then the adrenal glands go into overtime. If tis goes on for a prolonged period, the adrenals can get fatigued i.e. worn out. Adrenal fatigue.
What I know about Optifast (DH used it), You are seen once a week and blood work, vital signs , assessment of s/s's are done. Your doc is not concerned. She's been doing Optifast a LONG time? If so she see's this as an expected s.e. or complaint(medical usage).
First BP. Check BP in am after awaking before activity. Keep a record of date and time. Symptoms of low Bp weakness, fatigue, tiredness, dizziness, sinking feeling, sleepy, light nausea. Can be more, depends on the person.
What you are describing is ORTHOSTATIC HYPOTENSION---means when you change position your blood pressure is slow to keep up with position change. So, make all positional changes slowly. Turning the head quickly right and left can cause trouble---so don't do that. LOL I'll leave the negative feedback system of the Autonomic nervous system out . It's easier just to say don't make that movement fast.
Monitor your fluid intake---should balance with your output. I know the program you are in covered fluid balance very well, b/c in your situation if you aren't taking enough fluids in you will get into trouble fast.
Is that enough to explain it?
DBBF fine . we are doing good. He's bringing a surprise visitor home. Must run and shower BBL to check in and see if this is good enough
-
yes, sass that works fine. If it's lower tomorrow I'll ask about it. I usually get 3 qts of fluid a day, it's what's recommended on this.
Cami, it shouldn't hurt. Some are more sensitive there. I had tests a couple years ago then had a sling put in. Keep us posted how you're doing. (No pics please, haha) the camera looks neat though.
-
Made the body presentable by a couple of minutes LOL. Should look and smell this way all the time Deja Vue Cami? Amazing what a little eye shadow and lipstick does.
Oh MOMMMMMMM, it feels so good to be back and having you fuss over me.
The New Orleans style vanilla sauce has Jack Daniels whiskey in it. Is that allowed?
Enerva, very glad you feel better with this PS.
If someone can PM NotSelf and say "come-on-back". If you look in the topic box NS's recipe for sleep is there. She is a long time member of IT.
-
cami......take lots of drugs and get knocked out if Chevy is using her camera approach...lo.
Chevy you r too funny...needed that laugh today
Holeinone.....you bet I have a TON of patience...I have been a hairdresser for 36 years....don't take any offense ladies, I know you all get your hair done, and I am sure you are everyone's fav client
. But picture those people who you never ever want to see again......we'll....they get their hair done too. I am very lucky to actually work out of the house. Have been doing that for 20 of those years now. When I had my recurrence I cut my clientele in half...got rid of most of the EGR (extra grace required) people. Still have a few more to cut. So really can't complain and hubby doesn't mind that people are traipsing through the house.
Hope everyone is having a good day....we have friends coming over for dinner tonight and I have a BIG FUN weekend planned...yeahhhhhhhh
Smaarty...do be careful, I have blacked out a few times...not good. Fractured ribs once , and jammed thumb real bad once. I learned the hard way to get out of bed slowly. Lucky nothing worse happened
-
Cami hope all goes well. Sending you hugs.
-
Hello lovely ladies!
Sas- so glad you are back from exile! you were missed!
Cami- hanging out in your pocket for tomorrow. Hope everything goes smoothly.
Tang- HOORAY! you did it!
going to try to read through the last few days later. life has been a mess the last few weeks and i just have not been able to keep up.
xoxoxo- jeni
-
Smaarty - when I started Optifast, they took me off ALL my prescription drugs.... About a dozen in all!!!
The nurse that took my BP on check-in nights consistently got my reading at 108/68 or less. She was thrilled.
It stayed that low all through Transition, and only started to rise once I started Arimidex.
My docs all would have said yours is perfectly normal, too. Keep chuggin' that water!
p.s. I never went back on any of the Rx meds until recently... post AI.
-
OK Chevy's camera does that mean my insides will be seen all over the world. Wow am I important or what. It's about time something else will be on camera instead of the Kardashians.
chevy u'r so funny.
-
I wasn't going to do this, but they gave me the OK---here is my real medical team for my peectomy and what they will be using so I'm confident it won't hurt a bit
-
Jwoo, good to hear from you, life is hectic? Ay....I am just 2 months behind you on the shit show of chemo, but much older. I am sleeping like a lazy teenager. I wake up at 6:30-7:00... Roll over & sleep until 9:00. Also, I had a lumpie, which is easier. I was dx last summer in early July, and still kinda of in shock. I hope all is good....
MissCami, all you need is a little help from your friends......or the meds from your awesome team of professionals. In your pocket & your courage.....Breathe !
Lots of ladies we are waiting to hear from.....waving hello to all.....
-
Smaarty, why are you taking estrogen when your cancer was ER+"? I'm confused?
-
Hi ladies! I have been creeping (lurking for awhile). I found this site shortly after diagnosis, and while I was sick from chemo, and fried from radiation, I read through many threads. My intent was to learn as much as I could about breast cancer and survivors. This thread seems to have so much love and support, and great knowledge and advice. I was greatly surprised to feel caring and a connection to so many of you wonderful ladies. I have laughed and cried along with you. I have learned so much and feel more calm about my situation.
I'm 46 (today-wow, Happy bday to me I guess-haha). Married and have two kids: Charlie is 18, Teresa is 16. I felt compelled to write because my 16 yr old daughter has been ill, and we will find out soon if she has lupus. Do you mind sending some of your wonderful good thoughts and positive energy and prayers her way? I know she will be ok, but I am a mess with worry.
Cammi- I know you don't know me, but best of luck tomorrow!
Kate
-
Kate! You are sideways you know.... Geez, sorry girl, about your Daughter! We don't like for things to happen to them.....
Happy Birthday! Oh wait...
Maybe 16 is too young for Lupus... My older friend has had Lupus for maybe 20 years... but her meds keep it under control... Hope that helps your worries a little... In fact, she USED to be our Doctor!
-
Okay Cammi..... You gettin' ready for your big time in the spot-light? I don't even know what you are talking about anyway... but whatever they are doing to you, whether you are swallowing some kind of magic camera, or having one inserted ELSE-where, good luck with THAT one!
I'll be waitin' out in the hall eatin' Cheetos and drinking these...
So just take your time.... And when you are all fine and dandy, all of us gals, will come over to my house and sit at our huge freshly-painted picnic table and have lunch and drinks and laugh at you... because we love you.
Sass, Miss Phyllibuddyjoiningherinthebighouse.... Bout TIME you are maybe back to "normal!" Dang girl! I'm going to put one of those ankle monitors on you TOO, just to keep track of you and your where-a-bouts... I know! A GPS for you! I will attach one to your little brain, so I will see what you are thinking, and then I can say things like, "Nope, don't do that" or "Well yes, that's alright" or "WTF are you THINKing?" or "just good to have you back!" xoxoxoxo
-
Welcome,Kate glad you have come here
thinking of your daughter. Lupus treatment as Chevy says is different now then decades ago. Breathe deep and exhale. Join the hug. Looks like the one in the topic box ")Hang your hat and come for the ride.
Cami, I;m in the pocket with the others.
Blessings, Great someone who has been through Optifast. Makes alworld of difference from a buddy system approach
2TA are you up yet?
peppermint hellooooo Waving
Jwoo missed you too. Thanks for following me by the breadcrumbs. Hope the mess is better or stabilized. Does it have to do with the new avatar?
BBL XOXO sassy
