I'm kind of excited about the possibility of some real snow! We haven't had much of a winter at all this year, so maybe we'll finally be getting some. Though, it was really chilly out walking today with the wind. Brrr!
-
I know we need the snow in the mountains. I'm not looking forward to a possible 10 inches here. It was a mess when we had that much early in December.
-
i had 30+ years of snow in alaska - i don't need any more.... brrrrrrrr
-
Monis, last month when we had the freeze - was snowed/iced in for over a week and broke a well pipe. Yesterday, DH went out and hauled hay to put around the well pipes as we had nothing else. Not looking forward to the snow. Was supposed to travel to Battleground, WA for my GS birthday party. It might be cancelled :-(
-
Eight inches on my front walk. Went into work (11 miles) this morning. Light, blowing snow and clear patches on the highway. Coming home 20-25 mph-everything white. Couldn't see the side of the road or any lanes, not even any ruts. I got behind a semi; matched his speed and got home safe and sound. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm.
-
I froze yesterday for five hours in 20 degrees yesterday, not counting the wind chill. That Seahawks parade was worth it but I never want to be that cold again! Stay safe, you with snow!
-
I just joined, awaiting diagnosis. But I'm from Central Washington.
-
My daughter had planned a trip to Seattle, was going to drive to Portland today and on to Seattle tomorrow, home on Sunday, she's kind of bummed about the weather, though we're on the coast, it was still freezing rain at noon, she decided it just wouldn't be safe. Too bad, for her that it didn't hold off until Monday!
-
laustecoz, welcome but sorry you find yourself here. Keep in touch. Waiting is such a pain. Just stay away from Dr. Google. You'll find lots of good information here. Take care.
-
Snowing like crazy this afternoon! Got to leave work a couple hours early. Our little Mini Cooper had a tough time getting home up our hill, but we made it (we're at 1100'). Wonder what the morning will bring?
-
We just have slush here in Roseburg.. No snow, but my grandson's Birthday party was postponed in Battleground, WA. My SIL almost got hit twice by cars that were going too fast and couldn't stop at intersections. He call DD and told her to get the boys out of school and go home ASAP. She almost got hit by a truck pulling a boat. They both made it home safely and are snowed in.. We decided to stay home and stay safe.
-
Only a dusting of snow here in the Olympia WA area
-
DS in Hood River got 10" with 5-6" more predicted. I'm so glad they moved off the mountain and into town. They would be stuck in their previous house.
-
Nothing here in Shoreline. I wish we would get at least a little bit.

My DD just said that she needs to get some snow boots - Said the plastic bags over her tennis shoes will not work for knee high snow LOL.
-
It's still snowing here. Another 6 inches added to yesterday's 10 in my front yard. Decided to stay home today. Yesterday's drive was enough. Gma, tell your DD to get knee high boots. The snow was over the tops of my snow boots. I see a lot of knitting, sewing and hot chocolate in my future. Just heard the snow is headed to Seattle. Stay safe, my friends.

Gma, Thanks for reminding us we live in God's country-even with the funky weather this year.

Anyone interested in a spring get together?
-
Sure. Sounds like a good idea.
-
I'm ready
-
I have to head toward Vancouver/Battleground at the end of April - not Easter week. For GS Birthday.
-
I'm ready and raring....
-
Me too. Vancouver or Portland this time?
-
As long as it's not early May......In Palm Desert then! Sounds good!
-
Well, we've passed April and now halfway through May - about a get together???
-
Iwas just thinking the same. The one in Sept. was so much fun. I recently met a gal here in town who migght want to join us.
-
I'm ready. Since my employer of 14 years decided to "let me go" last Thursday, I have an open calendar. I did put in some applications, but.....
Is Portland going to be too much of a trip for you, Chabba and Garden Gumby?
GMAfoley, How are you doing? Any trips to Battle Ground planned?
-
I am going up to Battleground and Portland between May 30th and June 6th. Son and DDIL just bought a condo and will be moving. She got thrown off a horse 2 weeks ago and found out after a re-xray - she has broken her foot. Just a hairline fracture but moving and Crutches? I told her I would come help pack and tape boxes for her ;-). My son is in a panic not knowing how to do everything and also move.
