Susan-sounds like a good plan...what kind of flowers? My Irises just bloomed and they look so prettyThese are white, but I'd love some violet or yellow ones. I have some gladiolas that bloom every summer...can't wait for those! Oh and my rose bushes are really looking good too.
I found my favorite ice cream at the store just now. Blue Bell, Nutty Chocolate! whoo-hoo!! I know I shouldn't be eating it but I'm gonna do it anyway.
((hugs))

Okay, it's not TBT (I very rarely play by the rules and I'm always late), but here's me - note the very dirty feet and ankles - I am still that way. That's my dad working on a painting. He was a wonderful artist. My mother is an artist too, but she paints portraits.

BEST ADVICE EVER:

WARNING! Gall stones below. They only saw one on the scan I had and it doubled in size from November to march.

Hi owletettes I just posted this on Marywh 's page:
Hi, I talked with Rachel, Mary's Daughter as many of you know.
She said that coming to BCO for her Mom was the highlight for her. That her mom always talked of how much she loved it here and the people.
I have Rachel's cell phone and she said that if any of you would like to talk with Mary to call her on her cell. If Mary is awake then she can talk if she's up to it, or she would hold the phone to her ear if it's okay at the time.
I have Rachel's permission to give you her cell phone number by PM. Sassy
-
Oh Sas I'm so sad for Mary, I honestly thought things were getting better and I can't believe this, I talked with her (here I mean) laughed with her, compared stories and enjoyed her so much--would u please PM me her #, I don't know if I have to courage to call or say the right thing, cuz I'm so not good at this but if I can I will call her.
-
Ziggy I love that picture--so homey and u are adorable and u'r dad working so hard. To have 2 artists wow I'm still doing stick figures and I took art lessons. Who cares what day it is.
Smaarty I never saw Gall stone, oo that causes all that trouble--I thought they were like real little stone, instead they look like brain cells, OMG I bet it has to do with our brains and I had my brains pulled out too.
No wonder.
Well I'm back in my flannels, it's cold out and I stopped after my stupid test to get my meds o I got some walking in cuz I got a few other things, my DD waited in the car--so my pain is NINE hahaha I love numbered pains. LOL
-
MM GREAT YAY HOOT<HOOT, and another HOOT. Love the pic too. Wouldn't that of been nice to do to our kids when we wanted them to slow down and listen
Cami LOL cloning yourself. Hope you enjoyed your shower, we know you always do. You're right about tests getting in our way of doing nothing. What a nuisance.
Yes, I'm done for awhile, have to find out which doc is going to figure out staging on this thyroid thingy. Whole body scan result by one of my Fav radiologists----no distant houskeeping (mets). "There is Intense uptake of isotope within the thyroid bed". So, RAI131 with all it's problems was a good thing. Now to get regulated on replacement meds.
H- I -1, I think of you often when I thrift b/c you once said something close to "I may give it a try". Seriously, since there were so many I figured someone bought them on sale at Crate and Barrell , or Restorations. They both do something at the holidays that are nice , but not out of reach. Whomever had these, used them, and I think entertained in a big way---- allot. I will too b/c they are not $40.00 a plate, they ARE $2.50 a plate. If you think of it that way then it makes it easier if something breaks. But must admit, I almost chocked when I saw the price. Love those finds that do that.
Just wish DS did. I, actually, had him in mind with the new house. I so love using all my beautiful thrifted finds versus paper plates. We will see. I'll give him the choice these or the cheaper Libbey outlet glass plates. My guess is he'll choose the Libbey.
Found a new store that will barter. Love to barter. It's a lost art on Americans.
Susan, know the feeling about getting a break between stuff. The same month I have my 5 year BC cancerversary, I get a new cancer to start having anniversaries along side this one. Added to the 2 year anniversary of getting rid of the brain tumor out.
Oh, the NRC thingy is just wanting to change the world LOL. Small goal. Basically, I want the patient to be the center of care in isotope management versus the caretaker, worker(nurses/docs/techs), and environment.
Susan never second guess what you want to say here. Just say it, if we do we do, if we don't do we don't do.
Smarrty EHHHooh. LOL that pic is right from the OR table. They are HUGE as stones go. You showed them girl, not to ignore you when you make a diagnosis. I still have MY MARY's GS's from 1972 in a perscription bottle , same as Chevy's Grandma. Yet I studied my bladder stone from Sept 2012, perfectly formed, beautiful shaped, gorgeous color----then inexplicably threw it away
$ glad you're recovering well.
DS on phone.

ziggy, such a great picture.....
Not sure about the gallstones...please don't make a necklace
Tang...I am in chicago...not a lot blooming here. Just a lot of rain. I bought dahlias, lantana, verbena, and some shade flowers and some airy like fillers for my pots. They look pretty on my screen porch right now. Gotta wait till it's a bit warmer at night before i plant them.
Sas. I am addicted to plates. And they can't match. I love them all to be so different. I get bored easy:)
Go Blackhawks !!
-
nine for pain cami..ooch. Hope you get some relief soon
-
Once again, way to far behind to address all..so I'll just say happy weekend.
-
ziggypop, you are so cute and how cool to have parents that are artists! You look like you're checking the secret map to the hidden candy while Dad is oblivious! Love it!
-
Oh my pain has calmed down (meds) hahaha Susan I live outside of Downtown Chicago, my DD1 works downtown and takes the train. So we have pretty much the same weather and It's chilly today, I don't see a lot of planting going on around here. I think u'r far North maybe I'm from the Wheaton, Naperville Area--I go to Central Dupage Hospital, if u know any of these places.?
Well Plates are not my thing, but mugs are and I know I packed my favorite one, but who knows where they are now--in the attic somewhere. Years ago it was cups and saucers, but that would take about 3 of those cups to fill a mug, so when they came out I would buy what I liked along the way mostly glass cups cuz I like the way the coffee looked in them, OK I'm nuts.
-
cami...we r 45 minutes from each other. I am in lake zurich. Just north of Arlington hits. West of buffalo grove....I am off of route 12 and 22 (rand road and half day road) we r practically neighbors. When the weather is better we have to get together
Happy you r feeling better !

-
Tang--love Bluebell too. At two restaurants thought the taste of the ice cream was familiar. It was BB. restaurants were Cracker Barrells and Carrabbas's
Nettie, yes, it can be hard to catch up, but none of us really can. Except Chevy and Jwoo. Cami pretends well LOL. Hope your pain's better.
Keep those massages going and the chiro
Delicious. My Chiro retired, but kept the patients he liked and didn't charge us. But alas, he had to retire completely b/c of a medical thing. Nothing like a good pair of hands.
Ziggy, love the pic with your Dad, Tells us stories about your parents
Both artists........................
-
Maddy hey girl, How's your Mom and Dad doing. How did it go with the PS?
FBB, did the doc's give you the plan yet? are the scans all back?
Teka are you quiet today, or did I miss something?
-
Insistant, but not crazy. The table always looked so pretty all set up.
Thursday, smursday.
This is me about 11 yo, with our last Brittany. This boy lived to hunt, but only for my dad.
-
Cami, I have family in Wheaton, also do you know the Hammond, IN area..my mom is from there. Also have family in Calumet city and Valparaiso, IN.
My mom tries to visit once a year but she's getting old, not sure if she'll make it this year. Her sister is fighting lung cancer.
Anyway, in rambling.
-
My dog has a hard life. -
There is much to catch up on, but it's 8:30 pm and i am getting in bed. Body hurts pretty much ev'rywhere. Think I have a summer cold or allergies or some such chit. Poison Ivy, broken finger.. hah, my aches are so mundane... Love you all, have the best of dreams sweet owlets (and vinnie).
-
I am sooooooooo excited....I figured out how to do a picture. Oh happy days. My hubby and I went to a vino and vangoh drinking and painting. Took me two cosmos to paint that. My hubby doesn't drink. It was so fun
-
-
went hang gliding with my daughter in Mexico in April. I really am not scared. Honest
-
my lovely daughter and I relaxing at the pool. Ok I will stop with the pictures. Just so exciting to learn something.
-
my PS says that yes it has dropped some, he doesn't think it's that bad. Showed me pics from 2 months ago. The right one has always been a little lower than the left. I couldn't tell before. I told him about the weight lost program. He's not too happy if I lose too much. It will definitely affect the girls since I don't have a lot of body fat in the breast area anymore. I'll probably see him again in early August to see how things are and when I'm done with the weight lost. I'll have to find out how to stop if needed when I hit 35-40 lbs. That should put me before the end of the diet only part before everyone else. He did say that the implants can't drop to my belly button. Good to know. The drop is from my skin still sketching. Sceesh. I should start wearing a bra again. Guess what I'm making tomorrow?
Like the photos of everyone. I want to find the one where I have 4 generations when my DD was little.
-
Susan great Pics may be i can get my neighbor to teach me, he's a rocket scientist. He's very techy. May be...............
Jwoo see you are inspiring us
Smarrty oh hope it works out
Ziggy wish you weren't going to bed. I think it's going to be along bad night.
-
SAS, I love to thrift also. I have a huge set of the original Fiesta dishes. Imagine my happiness to find a plate at a thrift store for $1.00. My dishes were my great aunt's.
-
sas...4 over from that top bar where the smiley face is, is something that looks like a camera. If you click on that, you can go into existing pics and download. I only have recent pics on my I pad. I prob have to scan pics that are old into my desktop and then grit them on my I pad to show my younger years. But that is too much work and complicated.
I will be up for awhile. I am watching the Blackhawks. Love hockey. It just started and takes about three hours
But I hope you fall asleep !
I will post some pics of my animals
-
my dog Shelby. 14 yrs old. This is what she does best. So did I today !
