Blessings what a treasure of a picture makes me think of________(?????) the fella that did all the Saturday Evening Posts.
-
Love the throwback pics! JWoo, I had an old phone I loved to talk into also.
Blessings that photo is just too precious. That should be made into a painting! You can have them print it on canvas, it would be adorable.
-
Sas
Norman Rockwell?
-
Spookie, u'r right---that's what I thought of Blessings--that is so cute.
-
Thanks spookie I knew someone would remember LOL our collective chemo, anesthesia, pain med brains LOL.
-
Stuff like that I usually remember. Don't ask me what I had for dinner tonight! LOL
-
Chevy, for the record, I am not having success losing weight. It doesn't want to budge.love the dog houses! I'll bet Paris Hilton's cost more than my entire house!
Paw, hope you're doing ok with the fire. Yesterday, I had to travel a couple miles north, air was thick with smoke. Hoping you were ok today. Heard freeway traffic was impossible this morning. Something in the air bothered my sinuses today, was hoping to leave the house for a meeting tonight to see what I could see that way, but not up to it (the fire 10 years ago: couple see the flames from DD had soccer practice was wondering what I could see from here). Hoping you don't have much smoke where you live.
Jwow, you were so cute! Not that I'm implying your not beautiful now, because you're gorgeous. Love sailor outfits on little kids. Wish they were back in style.
DD is supposed to be home tomorrow, maybe she'll know how to fix the scanner part of the printer.
Blessings, you were adorable! Love your curls! That silly sweater.
-
paw print, hope you get some relief from the weather.
Sas, hope u r felling better..drugs = pain free I hope for you tonight
Great pics, wish I knew how to that to...but I am with cam, have no idea .
And cam, I am walking alongside you, I have pooped in my pants too. The story was just cuter the other way
Took some sleep aides tonight. Night night all..sweet dreams
-
Susan, hope you get a good night's sleep.

Sometimes the light shines in the world of thrifting. I looked at some 8 inch Waterford plates. Makers mark right there. No guess work. 20 for $100.00. I ask to look. She says there now 20/$50.00. Now I'm very interested, per plate $2.50. I figured they were a special, but not too special thing done for Crate and Barrel or Restorations WRONG. Finally found pattern.
Waterford Crystal
millennium toast accent plates
All five toast
happiness love health prosperity peaceE-bay auctions --- 2 plates $45.00, 1 for $32, highest 2 for $100.00
Here's the zinger replacements.com lists them as a value of $40.00 a piece I GOT 20
https://www.replacements.com/webquote/WATMIL.htm
This auctions way over priced., but it's a good look at the plate

This beats my previous best ever deal, a Caphalon stock pot for $17.00-----$219 to $249

I just thought TBT would be fun to see what everyone looked like through out their life and get a bit of a story if available. i love learning about others, their lives, their good times. It makes me so happy to see things like that.
Sas- i did notice- (as not only a HP fan, but also a HUGE Doctor Who fan) Glad you are getting things worked on with the NRC. You are awesome!
And way to back-up Cam! she used a real word! Yay! you got your scan done, hopefully you will have a full report soon, from a competent dr. OOH beautiful plates!
GG- so nice to see you! How was Hawaii? sounds heavenly. I', jealous!
2nd time- Love that owl rug! You stay away from fires and smoke! Having a baby shower soon for a friend and his nursery has a nautical theme. LOTS of baby sailor items and clothes out right now- i've been in cute heaven! Love that i get to buy all this really adorable stuff and never have to change a diaper!
Susan- I also love Columbo and Murder, She Wrote! I would rather watch classic films and TV forever than 99% of what is out now. Gimmie Bogart and Garbo and I'm all set. Thanks for looking up Cam's word. I don't think the NSA would believe you if you tried to blame us though!
Chevy- Thanks- Let's see those photos girl! I am sure you have always been stunning! My sis and I are about 4 years apart. We were never close, but my bc sure has made us closer. She's great, we just have polar opposite views of the universe.
FBB - ahaha @ your names. These are just all wrong and too funny. Love the racoon - he has it right! I am pretty sure this was one of those disney phones where the characters talked to you if you dialed their number. so funny! but i sure was loving it!
Cam, thanks and if you are getting too much rain, send it to Texas, we have none. Or SoCal for Paw and 2nd
Smaarty- you names were cute. Congrats on losing 10! that is wonderful! I am trying as well. Not as hard as I need to, but we all gotta start somewhere, right?
Paw- Hoping the fires stay far from you!
Holein1- Thanks! we were stinkers, that is fo sho!
Blessing- i LOVE this photo! you were adorable, and great composition! What a beautiful place too. Your grandmothers place?
Netti, how are you feeling today? enjoying that PAIR of earrings?
I suppose I should try to pretend to go to sleep now?
hope you are all having sweet dreams!
-
Jwoo- hoot
you are so good about talking to everyone, so's Chevy. I forget I do open several browsers during the day, but the time flies during the day or I'm sleeping. Now 3:52 wide awake . Phooey. Appointments tomorrow. Poor RO, I want a meter read of me, then a urine sample voided at the office. Would have done it last week if I'd thought of it. He's not used to all these "things" I want to do. It's throwing him off his pace and the office staff too. Made the mistake of saying I was talking to the NRC.
To them that's a big deal. That's whose rules they have to follow. They don't quite get what I'm doing. They only think of it as complaining or concerned(in a negative way versus and improvement way).
Two other old movies that are fun--Arsenic and old lace and Harvey.
The first time I saw the uncut version of Casablanca, it made so much sense. I love the Thin Man series too. Myrna Loy and _______ are so much goofy fun together.
Thanks about the plates, spent a couple hours looking all through Waterford @ replacements.com. Then went to ebay and it's in the first three auctions. That happens so often . I used to just use ebay first, I need to go back to that. Happened twice in a couple of weeks lately.
It's the same with my twin----polar opposites and icey too LOL.
CHEVY, Quidditch and Deatheaters, and "He whose name should not be said"---Harry Potter. Next time you come to Orlando may be we can go to Universal. They just expanded their area for HP.
Nettie glad the pains better. Take a hard look at your bed. Could be just to hard. I recently replaced the one we'd been using. It was a major difference--HUGE. But they are getting really pricey, but I'd do it again in a heart beat.
May be sleepy now G'ningt Owlettess and Mrs. Calabash
-
don't leave yet....
Had to laugh when i saw this pic. Had a mamo Tuesday. They had me sweating (not good when I can't put on deoderant) when they were trying to get an image of my newly found lump - they couldn't quite squish the right place so they fit me in for an unscheduled ultrasound. Neither the tech nor the oncologist could see anything "suspicious" so we all breathed a huge sigh of relief & they said they'd see me in a year.
Take care all you Owlettes - XXXX's & OOOO's, Martha
-
Ah Mostlymom that's great news. Whew
I can't open other browsers or pages or whatever so I go by memory so u know it sucks, and I don't get to everybody.
Fires---They are starting already? Chit it seems early to me--just all be safe and leave if u have to. Damn
Sas u can finally go out now?? Are u done? r is there more to do.
Miss Chevy are u up yet??? Miss going to bed at 7PM and sleeping all night--I'm so jealous.
My GF called yesterday abiut her retirement papers, she's retiring early--I started laughing so hard, I retired 2 yrs. ago and I can't remember one thing about the paper work--WTF was she thinking that I could help her, then we both startedLOLing cuz people used to go to her for info. Sad bunch.
Who said they love the pictures and the stories about lives--cuz I totally agree, when we all open up about years ago or now.
-
Cammi! Are you still there? I was busy doing..... SOMEthing awhile ago, but now I have forgotten what!
-
-
I'm still hangin out for a bit--I just announced I have to take a shower---Chevy u know how that is for me and I have a stupid stupid test this afternoon, so it's just bumps into my day of doing what I want. which of course is nothing
-
WHICH test are you doing? Is it for that pole dancing job at Kitty's? Or another test... I don't remember...
-
Good Morning Girls!
Wanted to pop in and say I hope everyone is in a great place heading into the weekend!
I'm off to an appointment at high school then post op with th gallbladder guy. He was laughing "with" me on the way into surgery, I distinctly remember he was chuckling at my in post op too. Can't imagine why he thinks I'm crazy? I only asked if I could keep my stones so I could make jewelry! It took years to make them, you know like a pearl!!
You girls have a great day!
-
4sewwhat. Lol...
-
You are growing pearls? Who knew? I remember my Grandma showed me her gall-stones, in a little prescription bottle!
But yes, you could polish them, and encase them in a gold filligree something or other, and have them with you all the time!
-
Mostly Mom, YEEHA for good results..
Garden G. Welcome back, you are living my dream
Jwow & Sas, my sis is a wonderful person ( takes care of my handicapped DB ) but we have absolutely nothing in common..I wish it was different, but nothing is changing..
4sewwhat.....good to see ya pop in...did you set the kid sitter straight ? That is always difficult to have someone in your home. Kids are better behaved than the ones in charge.
Cami, thanks for reminding me about the whole retirement thing....I need to do that. I could be getting my $, not much, but I have not made an attempt to even call them....arrrggg....
Sas, plates are fantastic, you rock the thrifting challenge.....might be too fancy for our " dog house "
Morning all, hoping for a productive day...
-
I have a pic of my gallstones. I asked if I could see them after the sx, he said he could take a pic. I can share that?? Mine are not the kind you could polish! My PCP at the time told me I wasn't having problems with my gallbladder, I probably pulled a muscle! 2 months later it was out.
4sew, how was your LV trip? You're the one that went?
Hope everybody has a good day. I go back to the PS today to see about the slipping boob.
-
OH OH Smarty I want to see pictures of u'r stones, I've seen kidney stones but not GB stones. I asked my Doc too, but he thought I was kidding cuz he said do u keep a collection of u'r body parts--Why yes, I'm cloning myself,, silly man.
I went back to sleep for a few minutes--2 hrs, OMG I can't keep on doing this==This tired thing is getting old. Oh I'm planning on going to the show next week I haven't been to one in at least 10 yrs. My girlfriends want to go we don't like the same movies at all, but I like being with them so I can sleep there if I need to. LOL
OOOHH I still have to take my shower so I'd better get moving.
-
skjdflsdjfoiaerrj!!!!! I am 25 pages behind!
-
Phylodowhateveruwant---see what happens when they loosen u'r ankle monitor.
-
morning everyone. Hope those who fell asleep had sweet dreams. I slept great last night, but every time that happens Its because of the chemo fatigue. So I made my bed really pretty and put all the fancy pillows on it so I won't jump back in for the day. But I have been known to jump on those fancy pillows and be a load
Best of luck with everyone's tests.
I get them every 3 months...but I negotiated with my doc to give me a break and let's go five. At five the chemo stops working and I switch. Been going on for 2 1/2 years now since the recurrence . I think we have established a pattern. So he agreed. Nice to have a couple extra months to not think about where it went this time.
Sas, I don't understand what you r going through with the docs and the NRC. But I hope it is all going well.
Cami, hope you get some energy today. Sorry I can't give you some of mine. Don't know where it went. I have bi polar energy. Not manic today
I am going to force myself out to buy flowers. That will energize me....right
Be good everyone........am I not suppose to say that anymore
-
Susan! You can say it but it just encourages them!!
-
Susan I'm glad u'r getting out a little and slept well, but Chevy and I never understand Sas as much as we luv her (for a while now) she accepts it and sometimes Ziggy translates for us, so no worries. Oh and u can always say be good but to most of the group it doesn't matter but feel free to say anything.
Announcement I took my shower and I smell like Vanilla pudding wow I enjoy that so much, did u all know that yet??????? Just in case u didn't. TA TA
