Thanks Ruth and Red, maybe in a couple weeks when I've built up some momentum. Would feel really embarrassed and intimidated to post my measly little wimpy efforts compared to all of you.

    April 28

Today I am grateful to have cleaned out our pool shed yesterday. And my big garden!!!

Maddy, there are two girls who just started this week, and I've only been doing it for 3. Sometimes the post is exactly what I wrote for today's gratitude. Sometimes, bigger. But that was my exercise for yesterday. Lol.

Day 118:  so grateful my cognitive functions have almost returned to normal after starting Tamoxifen in August. There were lots of CRAFT days, but it has improved tremendously! One small exception: I forgot to post last week, on the anniversary of the Boston Marathon: very grateful that my brother flew into Boston (and stayed near his alma mater - MIT) on that day and the plane arrived after the bombing; he was very confused why there was so much chaos getting to the hotel, but the important part, he was safe.

Onco, so very sorry to hear about your mom, so wishing you could share that cuppa tea with her

Ruth and Red, grateful for your encouragement, just not ready to take that step yet. Am grateful that today I rode 16 minutes/3.25 miles on the bike and it was so much easier than when I first started out. I was pleased then to last either 5 minutes (or 1 mile, whichever came first) and that was difficult. I've created a table to keep track of my progress, so that should also encourage me to push myself a little bit each day.

You're doing great Maddy. Join us when you feel ready.

Onco, sorry about this sad anniversary. I too wish you could have another cup of tea with your mom. Maybe you'll dream that tonight and it will feel real and comforting.

Grateful for our local little Chinese hole in the wall restaurant, unfortunately tonight was their last night in business after many many years so it's bittersweet, sorry to see them close up shop.

Ruth, congrats to you! Now you get to put it out of your mind.

Ladies, thanks for the words of encouragement, so appreciated! It appears you are a great bunch, I'm just not ready for that step. Like today, I planned to do another round of exercise on the bike, but Mr. 2TA came home early, in a bad mood so I didn't get back to the bike. Spent the majority of the last couple hours in the kitchen, too tired now at 10 to try to get some stretching in so I didn't meet my 30 minute goal.

Day 118A - grateful for a stash of baking supplies: DD never tells me we're low/out of items so when I went to bake banana bread, the pound of butter is gone as well as having just enough eggs ...

Yay Ruth! Congrats on the all clear!

Today I'm grateful the tornados passed us by and my back is not quite as sore from coughing.

Grateful that last summer I gave a rather 'naughty' boy from school a dollar so he could buy some popcorn at the movie theater (he was short of the needed amount). Now when I sub in any of his classes (which I did today), he is a perfect angel!

    April 29.

Today I am grateful for epsom salt baths. I don't actually eat salt much so this is a good way to get it. And magnesium. It also smells good and is relaxing.

Ruth, all that for just $1. Sounds like a bargain to me.

Onco, I saw two daffodils and a tulip today. They made me smile.

Susie, hooray for tornados passing you by. Is this the season? Also happy you aren't hurting as much. (((gentle hugs))))

Maddy, I also did no exercise today. Sigh. I did however spend my day in a seminar that used pretty much every buzzword known to man. 'if we engage the employees in focused improvement toward vertical integration then our mission statement will be on the road to.....' blah blah blah. I would have preferred baking, and I HATE baking. Lol

Cheryl, I must have missed something. 4 weeks, 5 days to what? Are you almost done treatment? Hope so. Sorry about your fav Chinese restaurant. Bittersweet indeed.

Tori, welcome. How old is your nephew. Anyone who makes you giggle is special.

Nel, you were at a three day work event weren't you? I know you said you were busy but what kind of event was it?

Jazzy weren't you at a weekend event too, or am I just losing my mind? Mixing you and Nel up? How many people here were at a weekend event this weekend. Hands up!!!!

    Have a lovely evening.

Red- yes I had a couple weekend events last weekend. One was a recycled art show featuring many clever things made out of various items. My prize of the day was a garden sculpture of a prickly pear made out of recycled circular saws. And I also went to a networking event the following day which was great too (got a work lead for my next consulting gig!)

Your memory is spot on Red!

Susie-whew on the tornadoes. There were a lot of them from what I have heard, and a lot of lives lost, people hurt, damage done. I lived in TX once and know how bad that can be.

Welcome to WandaWoman and PinkCarn. I'm glad that you've joined us.

Cheryl, if I could, I would but there is just too much going on around then.:-(

Maddy, you should go, you would enjoy, I'm sure. Nothing like a mini vacay to keep spirits up.

    April 30,

Today I am grateful for being taken seriously when I proposed an air compressor project. My thanks to Joe who backed me up from a maintenance point of view. It will show me in a good light from corporates viewpoint. Yay me!!!

Day 17...I'm so grateful that DH just got the email that he's been hired!

He's been working thru a temp service at Whirlpool for 11 months. We got the HIRED email just before he left for work. He had to fill out his tax info for them online.

    Praise God!
