    Are you using Command C and Command V??  Is there another way to cut and paste from a Mac that I don't know about possibly?  I think Crazy4Carrots has the exact same issues as I do.

    I'm on a Mac and I can't copy and paste or cut and paste from word.  Also, when I type something in the box and want to cut a sentence or phrase and paste it in another spot, it goes back to where I cut it.

    Yes, I use Command C and Command V and then hit enter. It might have something to do with the browser. I am using Safari 6.0.5 and my op system is OS X version 10.7.5. I have noticed people on another board having issues after updating Safari so I have been putting off that update until I see more on what people are doing to resolve these issues.

    I just copied and pasted my above post. I don't use Word when I'm drafting a longer post I just use TextEditor for that. Now I'm going to try to copy a sentence from above to see if it will stay down here when I paste it.

    RR - it could be copy/paste from anything.  I was just using Word as an example.  My Safari browser is 5.1.10.  Seems as though my automatic software update notification got turned off.   Sounds like I might be too late for Safari 6.0.5.  My OS X is 10.6.8..

    Hmmm, my versions are the latest  being offered.

    any updates on the kindle or should I check operating system on the kindle?  I'm not tech savy but dh was asking if this might be the issue?  I miss my kindle

    Maureen, checking the tech team's queue, we can see that they've identified several things that need to be addressed for Kindle to work well on the site, but we have no ETA for when this may be accomplished.

    Hi, I'm on a Mac and having trouble with PM's. I have only sent out maybe 6 or 7 and I am receiving an error message that I have already sent my allotted number of PM's for the day. I wasn't aware that there was a specific number you could send. Is there? and if so, how many? Thanks so much!

    Hi mdnghtdeb. You've run into a security measure that limits the number of PMs that new members may send. We found that generally new members haven't made many close connections and so they don't send/receive many PMs in their early days. That's unlike spammers who used to use the Private Messaging feature to send out huge numbers of advertising PMs right after registering, until we established the limit.

    You're currently limited to sending a handful of messages a day.

    The system maintenance shouldn't impact what members see and experience, although it will help the programmers. We don't expect any issues, but if you do see a glitch, please report it here in this thread.

    Hi Mods,  (XP Pro - Firefox 27.1)

     I only have a First, Previous, and a 1....for the number of pages a thread has. If I click on previous, then a last tab is added. Theres no incremental numbered tabs like before. Anyone else have this or is it just me.

     If I am on the last page of the thread, my choices are 'first, previous'.......if I click 'previous' a couple times, my choices are: "first, previous, next, last".

    I have been having to re-log in every time I come here......I was always logged in before but leaving  seems to do that.  Is that going to be that way from now on.  I do have my numbers back and the slowness seems to have cleared up.

    IllinoisLady, we had a report about this a couple of days ago too (with a member having to log in again when she changed devices). We have sent the issue to the tech team, and will post when we have an answer.

    Aohhh MOds I didn't realize til now .... when did the team instantiate https? ...not that its fullproof these days or stops the NSA and PRISM decrypting your private data, but its better than http so .... .

    Why can't we retain our login if it is on the same device. I have a fixed IP address and when I log in at home, close the page and come back, I'm having to log in again as Jackie says above. I don't care whether it is retained for different devices, but it is really annoying on the same device.
