Here's what cheezed me off today

I know you all are in the middle of a very important dog conversation, but I just wanted to post this as a reminder that we are all hard-core kickass ladies to do what we have to do:
Please resume dog conversation, sorry for the interruption.
-
Well all my dear friends here. l went on and on about my Schats and Dini. Just when I think I have them under MY control, that thought is tossed up in the air like confetti
On the ranch road for a run. Point A is the beginning. One house on the corner. Point A goes north to point B . At point B left turn to point C. There is a potential of a cat at point A & C
A run consists of A>B>C>B>A
At the end of the run Shats spies a cat----tears off like a greyhound, around the corner of the house. I drive around the corner. BY this time cats -gone. Shats is walking back, spies a lawn ornament of a gray fawn. Points it. Great stance, paw up, leaning forward. Breaks point, sniffs the ear, tryng to decide what this is?
Dini, that's all he has to see, flies over my lap without touching me, through the window. Runs up to the lawn ornament fawn and hits it with his nose. He downs the lawn ornament.
I embarrassedly get them back in the car. So much for control.
-
I knew what a Banti rooster was. Gpa rents had farm in Ky. Also heard cocky SOBs described that way.
-
Thanks, sas! Now if I could just stop having nightmares about those little monsters! They are tough like us though.
-
Ziggy, jump in any time. That cartoon made me laugh so hard. That guy needs to go see Dirk and Ruckus from "Bad Ink."
Spook , did those little devils ever chase you? I've met a few of those human Bantis in my time. They wish they could be as tough as us.
Sas, did you get caught with the pooches playing Deer Ninjas? I could just picture those people coming out and finding their deer statue eating the dirt. WTH? Too funny!
-
Ziggy - GREAT cartoon!
-
Ziggy loved the cartooon too.
Ro they weren't home, but I'll stop and explain why dear fawn was laying on it's side. I've met the lady before. She really likes Shats. So it shouldn't be a problem. But from now on starting/ stopping point will be up a bit up from the house. If I looked at as just a funny thing. It was hillarious to see two 75 lb dogs attacking a concrete lawn ornament. OH wEll back to training.
-
ziggy, very cute. I think of myself as even more of a bad ass since I refused to let them ink my boob. It was bad enough they were cutting into it, zapping it and then poisoning it. There was no way in heck I was going to do something that was truly for their benefit only.
sas, hey... I'm still around, but lurking a bit more these days. Life is way busy with a sophomore in high school and a middle school kid too. Although I guess I could post some cheeze for the day.
I live in a community with a homeowners ass (note the abbreviation :-) ). I was told we all had to paint our houses since they are 10 years old. I took FOREVER to pick the right combination of colors only to have them reject the colors. So, moving right along... I pick a new set and that takes me a month. It seems like it's almost a part time job. Next thing I know, the committee now tells me that the colors that were rejected may be okay. WTF??? I moved on and finally found a new set and now I have NO clue if I even like my old choices anymore. How's that for cheeze? Hope everyone else is doing well.
-
Rockym, There was a guy whose paint choices were rejected (like you). So he took the approved colors and painted his house with big polka dots.
-
Rocky, I refused the permanent tattoos as well. For the same reasons. And I like Wren's story. Polka Dots or stripes! We have lived in a small bedroom community since we were married that had about 900 residents scattered over a large area. Then the "city" invaded and we're now up to 2100 and still growing. I hate it! One of the snooty newcomers stopped by my house one day and asked if I wanted to sign a petition that would require everyone to have the same mailbox and limit what could be in your yard (swings, lawn ornaments, etc.). I gave her an earscorcher and told her where she could put her petition. We were remodeling a bathroom, so I took the old potty, put it in my front yard, filled with potting soil and a creeping ivy. Then I put pink flamingos around it. The petition died a quiet death and the newcomers avoid me. The older residents got a good laugh out of it. One posted a yard sign that said "Welcome to the neighborhood, Now get the hell out." Glad to say that things have settled down the last couple of years with the silly petitions, but sad to say the growth is still going on. I don't understand how you fall in love with a town, move there and immediately start trying to change it into the town you moved from.
-
Huh, I'm so pea brained sometimes that it didn't even occur to me that I could refuse the tattoos. At this point I can't even find them. Rohanna, I can't believe that they wanted you all to have the same mailboxes. Seriously? can you imagine sitting around your dinner table and discussing the fact that you have been spending your time thinking about what other people's mailboxes are like and that you think they should all be the same because........ (?) . And then going out and advertising to other people that your life is so dull that what you do is worry about what other people's mailboxes look like? LOL. Good Lord. Life is too short for that chit.
-
Rohanna, I can so relate! We moved to this neighborhood because it was quiet, friendly, and the yards were larger than some other areas. Then they decided we were to be an urban village and started building condos and townhouses everywhere. They all use the same fake craftsman plan and paint them the same 3 colors that do NOT go together. Our block has stayed friendly, but I've never met anyone from the townhouses because they drive in, hole up, and drive back out. The small merchants were driven out to make more room for trendy bars. Good for you with the toilet and flamingos!
-
RO and ROCKY-- HOOOOOOOO what a hoot. Loved that you gave that bitch an earful. I call them ----Condo Natzi's, when townhouse and condo's are involved. But she is a Residential Natzi. Great use of the old toilet. Hate to say it, but watch her activities on a county level. She wants it her way. We have folks like that in our county. They keep up with their petitions. If you don't counter sometimes something can slip through on a minimal vote that affects the whole county.
My property is in the county, we don't have deed restrictions. There was a push to limit vehicles in the front yard. WEll, that was nipped in the bud. I don't want it unsightly, but people have there toys and many folks have moved in with each other. Limitation of vehicles would have been very bad.
I did however one night long ago, follow a tanker truck home that had a flammable placard. Reported it There was already a law on the books for that kind of thing. Forget what the chemical was, but it was bad. In an area of homes with 50 x 80ft lots. Yeah right. Guess I'm a Tanker Natzi LOL.
-
Ran Dini off leash-----Amazing------he broke no rule--------he understood everything he was supposed to do. Tried it b/c no livestock was out. We'll see what the future holds. He was great!
-
I HATE those HOAs, condo Natzies, whatever. A child of the 60s rebelling against conformity. Yuck! Don't tell me what color to paint my house, what kind of window treatment to have, if I can fly the American flag, how many pets to have, leaves in my yard( do they count them?)
-
Wren, that is way too funny. I seriously
thought about the polka dots, but then realized the paperwork I sign for the
colors says fascia, pop-outs and base :-). I'm thinking of going with my
new scheme as the base color of the house would be lighter and not a dramatic
change from where I am now. As for the mailboxes... well... I live in a
neighborhood where they are all the same. The community was built this
way, but hey at least we have mailboxes. Some communities around here
have a big metal box where around 3 blocks of people share. Easy for the
mailman, crappy for getting the mail when it's raining.rohanna, I remember there was a reason were we twins ;-). I may be a rebel, but ink just doesn't suit me. Other then this paint crap, I don't mind the "ass." people. The old neighborhood we used to live in now looks a mess. People just don't take care of their homes there. Where we live now, the neighbors have no choice. They have to keep their homes looking nice, but sometimes there is such nit piking as in my HOUSE COLORS! Really... light tan, medium tan or dark tan... who gives an eff as long as the combination of colors isn't freaky.
-
My house is a dark sage green, cream trim. Looks nice. One across from us is grey with black trim. I have a pink 67 Mustang, covered, in the side yard. Guy down a few has a classic Vette. Guaranteed to give those busy bodies fits. But I don't have a HOA. Hood still is nice. It's why there is code enforcement here.
-
Rohanna- I love the story about putting the toilet in the front yard. Made me laugh!
I am lucky to have good neighbors, although a few of the ones I have enjoyed have moved away. I have a single woman on one side, and a single man on the other. So we are three single folks in a row and all help each other when needed, but respect each others privacy too.
I have one neighborhood nazi who has a summer party in our development, and confronted me one year about why I never came to her party? It is always in the beginning of August, and I am usually out of town for one reason or another. I am not really sure I want to "hang" with the entire development either!
-
Today afternoon with family at cousins condo. The Condo Natzi if she shows up , I have an idea what I'll say, but won't know until it's over. Totally fine with cousin for me to say something. So I've been thinking................I'll let you know.
-
It is totally strange that some people have nothing better to do than think up stupid rules. If everyone took that time and helped out at a charity or something worthwhile, it would be a better world. But some people just thrive on drama.
By the way, my DH hauled my toilet art away when winter came. He also hid my flamingos. The next summer, I found them and put them back. Now it has become the Great Flamingo Challenge. He hides them every fall and I find them in the spring and put them back out. Silly man! You can't fight a Banti and win! I'm thinking of adding some more gnomes this spring.
-
I love it... neighborhood Nazi! My community has a tad over 200 homes. We are a mix of families with young children, middle and older. There are many singles, both young and older and retired couples too. Everyone can be as private as they like, but we do have some real strange ones. I love listening to the "reactionary" people sometimes. I'm glad I don't have to spend time with them, but crap they have issues. Just the other day, my neighbor got a letter about her wall that needed some touch up (it did), her drip system that needed to be burried (it did) and her car that wasn't in her garage or driveway (it wasn't). Instead of just saying "crap now I have stuff to do." She proceded to ask mw if I got a letter, tell me I have to paint my wall too and that my house wall isn't even the same color, blah, blah, blah. Then she goes on about the letter her laywer is going to send. Oh my effing god!!! Just take 10 minutes and clean up your crap and don't point your boney finger at me as to why I'm not being reemed this week. I almost wished I would have said I got a letter to just so I wouldn't have to lisen to her breath.
You can see I feel such love for that neighbor. Fortunately, the women on the other side of me is single and loving and we watch out for each other. Heck, even one of my other neighbors is a shrink and he is still grounded. I recall I even talked with him once about the crazy next door lady... free of charge!
-
Going out for Anniversary dinner with DH, DD and her DBF. Would have gone on my actual anniversary (yesterday) but the tornado sirens sorta killed the mood Duck and cover! Hope everyone is having a happy, healthy weekend.
-
Oh my friends----I had the cardinal moment and totally abysmally blew it. I got drunk. Since that Condo Nazi, hurt my cousin, I have been smoldering about it since. It's a year.
Cousins Lori and Linda are sisters. I have 66(?) first cousins. L &L are my favorite girl cousins. Linda was verbally hurt by this condo Nazi, last spring at the pool area--HORRIBLE.....had Linda in tears. Linda is one of the kindest people in this world. I didn't rip the lady at that time b/c I was a guest.
Low and behold Lori buys a condo in the building. Since Lori bought the condo we've been talking about this awful person.
So at the family gathering, Lori's DS&DIL and DGD, my only nephew on my side and his wife. Lori and her DH. -------The condo Nazi is around, I'm seeing her... the more I see her the more I seethe.
Told Lori's DIl that my prepared speech was that she had "a borderline personality disorder, with Narsicctic and sociopathic tendencies."
Regeretfully, I had to much to drinik------Asked her if I could speak to her-------Dear cousin Lori stepped in between,. I push Lori-------Nazi ----went away quickly. AAAAAAAAllllllllll family upset
OH f**k,
-
So, dear friends, In family speak, I'm an ass hole-----wish ---it didn't happen in the sequence it did-----can't reverse it===pooper.---------------b/.c now I'm the asshole instead of her
-
Ah sassafras - an asshole maybe, but oh what an adorable asshole - just what happens when you mix the mama lion protective juices with liquor. Luckily with 66 cousins someone will do far worse soon (join a cult, run naked through their daddy's funeral) and the story of sass and the condo nazi will become but a distant memory.
rohanna - I'm waiting on one of the nazi hoas to REQUIRE toilet art which would make for some kick arse hoity-toity events.
-
Ziggy thanks I needed that
BTW all here if you google images----keywords toilets and (just about anything) art, flowers, designs, some very funny images will appear
-

I love my Knitted Knockers! They are light and soft and warm. Unlike my silicone prosthetic which is heavy and cold when first worn, then it later causes me to sweat.
I wear my knitted knockers inside a regular bra or tucked in the pocket of a mastectomy bra. They are beautiful, and a godsend to those of us with an uneven mastectomy scar.

Thinking of you rohanna! I submitted my new paint colors today. I asked someone on the committee, "What if I really don't like the trim color after a couple of months?" I always like to have an out. She said I should just change it later if I really don't like it and she won't tell. That was nice. Minimal cheeze today!
-
Awww, thanks Rock! I love gnomes! Mostly because they're short and shaped like me!
So glad to hear the lady is reasonable about changing the color if you don't like it. Hardly a bit of cheeze!

Cheesers-don't think I told you I was having sx. Thyroid out on Feb28th. 2014. I'm surprised at my recovery. After a abdominal hyster/bso, I was back at nursing work in 4 weeks, but had a tooth pulled the same day back to work and DIDN"T follow instructions was layed low another week. Abdomin fine. Drysocket and TMJ so bad it rupture the eardrum. Well that's history. Now than write my tale of woe I'll just cut and paste from Insomnia thread.
Oh Owlettes, Some very weird things are happening. I've googled them and no answers. I'm having these wild mood fluctuations---wild. Bit two peoples heads of on the phone------totally not me. I've already called and apologized.
I'm suspicious of Wellbutrin--LOL 3A4. Have no ides what all was given too me. So don't know if those drugs are going through my funky pathways. Besides not sure what the malfunctioning thyroid hormone was doing.
Pawprints comment that she's trying to catch up on reading and she says I'm talking this different language. Chevy says ( I can imagine her patting Pawprints shoulder). Don't worry sas does that ever once in awhile, she'll be okay in awhile.
Breakthrough-AHhah--Chevy's so totally right. I get on a soapbox and you tolerate it Thank you
then I find normalcy again.
All of you thanks for thinking of me and your words have been wonderful. Warms the soul.
Sorry some are having trouble . Tang you have had so much good advice----CAMI said it best do it with pizzzaz---------cancer may make everything shit. But we can fight that with looking spectacular--fuck cancer, put on that spectacular head gear, make-up, and wild beautiful earrings. Then walk naked in the park. Only if no ones around otherwise you get a ticket. When the cops ask why you aren't dressed the answer is "But OH MY officers, I AM, I have my make up on, and my beautiful scarf" "A lady is always dressed when she has her makeup on"
