    I am mom-mom with all of them my ex is pop pop if they want to add the Sandy name that is fine but I really don't like it...the others have mom mom also...my dil's mother is not with us but she was granmom...

    Shiela you are right being a parent to a son is really difficult when they marry...my youngest daughter I say whatever I want, actually all of them I do..told them I will always being their parent and your mother is always honest with you...do they hate it yep they do....they also hate when I comment on things they are doing, like not putting my grandson to bed until you go and then it is in your bed...@ 4 really....my son is a guy he doesn't know any better but dil should, they screwed up the older one with doing that crap....my daughters know there should be a bed time....don't waste my time with dil...she knows all....

    Congrats, Diane, on a wild Seattle Bowl!!!  I have a little "native" Denver in me since I lived there awhile but I am happy for the Seahawks.  Seattle will be exploding.

    Sheila, soooooooo happy the shower went so well and that you were able to enjoy family and friends.  I am sad that your DD has gone...why didn't you hide in her suitcase?  Then your dreams would come true.

    Sandy I had some kids that went to bed and some that didn't...I learned to roll with the punches.  My DD was very good about her babies going to sleep and they were wonderful even for me.  But now that they moved and DD travels a lot, the 3 year old will not sleep anywhere but with Mom.  They can't take her screaming or climbing so for now they are rolling with it.  DD not happy though.  they just moved and caroline said she will sleep in her new room in the new house so I hve to check up on her.

    I cannot tell my DDs anything...no bad news or sad news, no "better be careful" because....they just don't want to hear it from me.  So I let them find out things from their friends and let it all go.

    My DS's BD is Tuesday and I don't know what I will get him.  I love overnight shipping.

    Fire............believe it or not I bought the shirt because it was a Kohl's discontinued item because it was after October........$5.00 could not pass it up........LMAO......

    Hey, it was originally $20.00.....I know, I know, if they were giving it away you would not have taken it............LOL.........

    I so much agree...i don't say nothing to my daughter good or bad unless she brings up the subject

    Yesterday someone in the family was interrogating me if she was going back to work right away ..who was gonna take care of the baby....I kept saying I don't know....she says to me you are the mother you should know everything...I told her that i completely disagree with her....Ready to slap.......

    OMG what a gorgeous cake!!!  Did you actually eat it?  I used to have a cake business but it was a long time ago and cakes were much simpler then. The only time I used fondant was when my grandaughter turned 5 and I made the Belle cake...with no power during hurricane Sandy  (I baked ahead)

    That is a very sweet cake!! When DIL refused to have pink anything, I decided that there then would not be blue!!  If we aren't to feminize, then I choose not to masculinize (is that a word, I think not)!!

    DD had a fun party and we went to a fun party last night and then again for football today.  But I am exhausted - three parties in one weekend is two more than reasonable.

    Everything Joan said above :)  Who knew?  I don't think I made life that difficult for my parents.

    Ok, everyone has gone to their rooms and I'm next.  DH can be heard from here in the kitchen - he is exhausted.

    Stopping by to say hello. Missed everybody.

    The baby shower pictures were so wonderful to see, Sheila. A beautiful baby soon....

    It seems whenever I have disruptions in my life - we lost power for 5 1/2 days in Nov, had tons of snow in Dec snowstorm (my town had the most in MI with 18.7") with DH gone for two days working & me snowed in for a while... I'm behind on so many, many things that I have been meaning to do... why do I seem lost?? And soon I need to get my list out of things to not forget to pack & get ready to head north to celebrate my granddaughter's 7th birthday. And I have gained some of the weight back that I lost... that does not help.... if I'm not careful, I will not be able to fit into the new capri's I bought for last summer.... I can't let that happen...

    ETA: Love the picture ducky!! You look fabulous & the puppy is cute!

    I want you to cheer up....I know its not easy, just went through it....we had horrendous, snow, ice, below freezing temps from a couple days after xmas , and guess what....its snowing like hell now, and 2 more storms predicted.........just said to my daughter yesterday when I went to see the Puppy......from Dec. 28th till yesterday, I was out of the house 2 times........snowed in, car doors frozen shut, and then ice jams that caused a leak in my 3 year old house, and a flood because the washer line froze, and the water backed up into my breakfast room.....so been there are hopefully not headed there again...

    Also you would think being house bound I would get everything done here.....no way....I was so busy feeli'ng sorry for myself, I could do nothing but sit, and play on the IPad............NOW, THAT WAS PRODUCTIVE, right........better now, but hate winter......

    Plus that new baby.....so wonderful.....shower was great, cake beautiful......so cheer up good friend........just think about the baby........hugs.

    Joan, to SD's kids we are Grandma and Pap-aw.   She took it on herself to choose everyone's names.   There is a G.G., Grandma Turbo, Mama2 and others.  

    My issue is that DIL's grandfather is a pedophile and pervert.  At least that is what DIL has told me in the past.  Supposedly, only with his granddaughters. We do not want to be associated with that man in any way.

    Sheila,,,that cake,and those lill shoes r adorable..yay no pink.I never put my DDs in pink,even way back then,it was either yellow or mint green

    And you Ducky,,,shame shame,,,,no excuse...the only thing I have pink is a pair of pajamas

    Fire.................it was a sale................$5.00........and its warm and fuzzy...........guess what........when I got that one like I said......it was past Oct, so it was a sale, also every penny of that $5.00 and whatever the charged  before they put it on sale, went to the American Cancer Society......not bad...at least not Koman.....then all the other colors were $9.99, reduced from $20.00..........bought one in every color....they are so comfy....and my house is chilly with that friggin 15 ft. ceiling in the family room....I should take a picture and show you how high it is.......crazy, and the heat goes up........

    Snowing like hell here......ridiculous..........1-2 inches per hour......schools closed again...eating up their Spring break.......but at least their safe inside.......

    Will be back later........not going anywhere soon.......LOL

    1-3 inches of snow the weatherman said yesterday

    Already it looks kike a winter wonderland...the rate we're going we might reach a foot of snow...

    Good morning all.....I really had it with this baby colors and everything else...of course i don't open my mouth....Zippered mouth is the best way to deal with this for some how unimportant things

    so far I feel my grandbaby can call me whatever I choose

    All i'm grateful for to became a grandma and having my own little 1 bedroom cozy apartment

    I learned not to give myself MH or any other health issues

    I just hate to be questioned by certain family member on his side

    Sheila.....exactly have the baby call you what you want.....easy way..........first time you see the little sweetheart in person, you say Hi Little Baby, I'm --------------whatever you choose...........easiest way to do it.......like I said "I am Nannie.......my SIL's mother is Nanny........if they refer to his mother they say Nanny Dempter..........not me.......I'm just Nannie, or 90% of the time......'Nan".,,

    Some people just like to be difficult, especially with the first baby........honestly all my kids sons and daughters said "hey Mom, what do you want the baby to call you"........I picked, problem solved.....it is such bullshit when a big deal is made of it........oh well, right.........

    Sheila....what do they question you about?..........what is any of their business.....such a shame......such bullshit like I said  before..........hugs sweetie.....worry about you, your important.....

    snow day for me.  Worked all day aroind here and created more stuff to do.
