Sheila - you decided to be snowcitygirl!!
Hope headache goes away!
-
I decided to have multiple names according to the weather
1) Snowcitygirl
2) Suncitygirl
3) Windycitygirl
4) Cloudycitygirl
-
Ok, if I call you Sybil, then you will understand?
-
-
Sheila - where are our friends tonight?
-
Sybil, lol, that's a good one, Diane!Love it K ~ if you want to lose weight, do it now - if you want to gain weight, wait for the trip!! I think I'll lose a few #'s now so I can gain a few #'s on the trip, isn't that the way to do it?!? lol
~~K~~ You always make me laugh!!
Well, I always make lists.....have for years, just ask my DD's. lol So, I will get out a nice piece of stationery & begin to decide what I will bring on our trip. I will pack light. I would like a new hat & flip-flops to bring, I'll have to start looking around. Oh, I have a great tote bag I can use (packing light, remember?) but I want to look for one to bring back home.......something colorful & islandy (is that a word??). Can you tell I LOVE tote bags??
This will be fun!
(Thank you for all your kind words, straight from your hearts, about Melissa....... Joan, she is in a very special place in my heart.... ♥ ....forever.)

I had opened a thread for her and every year I post a red rose...she was such a friendly and funny woman and only 49
I was lucky enough to talk to her on her last days
OK I'm all coffeed up ready to go on with my day.......maybe wash ? Cook my chicken ? go get some vegetables?
Don't know yet...i love it because I don't have to answer to nobody
Opening of the Olympics...I love it......

Racing around trying to get ready to go to the cabin - it's snowing enroute and the pass is a bit of a mess. I used to look forward to getting up there and just sitting by the fire and reading. Today I just think it's a lot of work to go be lazy somewhere else. I asked DH to get his clothing together for the weekend. He said he did. I just looked - he put two sweatshirts on the counter. That's it. Guess he'll be rustic this weekend. DD, on the other hand, has a suitcase for a week. Tonight is a wine release event so I have to kind of dress up but other than that, we will be just at the cabin.
Ducky? Firecracker? Are you amongst those without power? I sure hope not.
Sheila, I mean SnowCityGirl, I think if I were alone I'd love to have all white bedding, white furniture, and no dog.
-
Rain..........I did ok this storm........however my kids all lost power......all but one has it back
The snow storm on Monday caused me to lose power..........so after fixing it that day 12 hours later I got Elect back...........this time I got lucky.....had it not happened Monday and happened this storm I would have been out for days..........only 24 houses on the "grid" I am on, so you know we go to the bottom of the list..........glad it happened when it did......
Snow tomorrow....barely, but 1-3 on Sunday, and then snow and ice on Wednesday.....phew....
-
It was actually a beautiful calm sunny day.....I pulled everything and did a big wash
So far Sunday's NorEaster has been cancelled to only 1 inch of snow.......
I don't trust them because they either exaturate or minimize everything
Tonight I'm gonna make myself a big porterhouse steak and AG
Then the OLYMPICS
I still don't understand the SPELL CHECK...Sorry
-
Who cares about a spelling error - don't have to be perfect here!
Just got to the cabin and was greeted by a coyote. Won't be out after dark, there was also a cougar sighting this week.
-
Oh boy, double trouble
-
Now that you are a mountaincitygirl..........be careful and stay indoors
-
I need someone to cook my dinner and serve...No dirty minds please
-
Oh, sorry, I can only do dirty mind. We don't have a garage and our parking area is a couple hundred feet away. Need to look up if I want to make loud noises and carry a flashlight. Can't imagine have the discipline to not run.
-
I have power and never lost it knock on wood. Watching he olympics on tv.
-
there's ducky on the left, LOL.
-
Deb...............LOL
-
Deb...I'm watching the Olympics too
I'm loving all these dances with lights it's so beautiful
-
Can you tell me what those snowflake girls costumes represent?
-
Still cold here...made it through the week...no problems. I hope everyone has power and is warm.
I love the week end! After being sick "in bed" for 3 week ends, I look forward to the week end for sleeping late and doing as little as possible.
My summer course schedules are set so now I can plan my time off.
I am still trying to eat better and even when I eat whatever i want on my "new" list, I seem to be losing weight slowly. I can't wait to get into the next size down.Bed time for me...
-
Were you talking about the ladies wearing the names of the countries, Diane?
-
Thought the girls in the "name costumes" looked very nice, but the big "country" name stuck in front of them was a little goofy............however they were all very, very, pretty........no offense, but I have heard Russia is not known for beautiful women, but they found a lot to carry those signs..........watch, I probably will get a PM from the Mods for that comment......
-
Meece - yes I was speaking of the girls with country names - I just coudn't understand their ensemble
-
Rain.........neither did I, but they could all strut............so I am thinking..........models..........not a one tripped over their feet, and never stopped smiling............the white boots reminded me of my daughters boots back in the 70's with the mimi-skirts and dresses which had matching bloomers.........lol
-
Ducky - reminds me of Hullabaloo - remember that?
-
OMG.............yes, blast from the past.......LOL
-
Additional.............
Hullabaloo........was my first three kids era.................
I was from "American Bandstand".....everyday...right after school....and we did....... At the Hop....Mashed Potato......The Stroll.......and always my favorite......Jitterbug............................oh be still my heart...those were the days........and years later my youngest daughter danced on "Dancing on Air"........a take off of "American Bandstand"
I danced on TV in the 50's.............she danced on TV in the 80's...........funny isn't it.....
-
Quiet here?
Loving the Olympics but the hours are strange. And Bob Costas keeps interrupting his guests.
You gotta love a gold medalist snowboarder who just "made up" his jumps on the fly.
My fridge was warm today after a few days of strange motor sounds. We figured this was it...after it almost died in the fall ($600 to repair guy did not fix it). So DH and I went to look for a fridge that could be delivered right away. We ended up buying four new appliances. So I started pulling the kitchen apart and cleaning (so the installers wouldn't see what we were hiding). Soon after I moved the fridge and vacuumed, it started to cool down again. And the new range and microwave both will need carpentry and a new outlet ... what did we start here??? I just want to re-do the day.
What I really need in the kitchen is (everything??) new cabinets and new floor. Here we go....A few more flakes tomorrow...not too bad. But it i still so darned cold at night.
OK - time for some sleep....have a good rest of the week end! -
Joan.....had that happen to me many times over the years...........damn thing looks like it is going to bite the dust, then it get cold again........then how about when it goes the opposite, and acts like a freezer, and you find your lettuce frozen solid...........shame that you spent so much getting it fixed.........shocked the guy didn't tell you to buy a new one.......well now you do have a project, but eventually the fridge would have stopped cooling completely, so either way you would have to replace it........good luck with your project.......
