today I am grateful that I was easily able to install the replacement gasket I bought for my pressure cooker, so I will now be able to use it again!
-
I'm grateful that we didn't have to go out today and get stuck in the traffic mess. Big snow with wrecks all over. We live in the mountains, but it's bad all the way down to Atlanta today. The interstates are parking lots, I feel really bad for all those people stuck in their cars.
-
I am thankful that my vehicle has heated seats to keep me warm in this sub zero weather.
-
I am grateful that I can afford to pay my high heating bill this month because there are so many who can't........and some who have no heat.......
-
I am grateful for the nice conversation I had with my daughter. She's living her own life, but I miss her!
-
Day #28
Today I am extremely grateful for my MO who explained all the options to me. Together we decided that since chemo would only improve my chances of non-recurrence by 2.5%, that I would not have to do chemo!!!!
Yay!!!
-
Red, so very happy for you!
Day #28: I am grateful for heating pads - 2 of them. Cooler, damp weather coming in, my current side, both chest area and arm are aching something fierce. (only SNB on that side). Best part is other side, total node dissection had always given my problems, but that side doesn't appear to be a problem today.
I am also grateful I can say "no" to a situation I don't want to be a part of.
-
Grateful my friend arrived from the UK safely and my cupboard is now stocked with 1000 tea bags and English chocolate
-
hbcheryl - how wonderful. Have a fantastic visit with your friend!
redreading - woot! woot!
Today I am grateful for Facebook. Helps me to keep in touch with many I don't see on a regular basis and gives me lots of chuckles on these dreary days.
-
Gratefuly that my DH gave my very thirsty garden a good watering this evening.
-
Day #29
Today I am grateful for the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre who are going to help me with an exercise program, nutritional advice and to stop smoking. All free!
Ziggy, I'll be joining u soon girl!
-
Day 29
Grateful for my new desk that can move up and down so that i can work standing up or sitting down.......great for the back and for circulation.
-
Red - that's great that there's a free program to help you out. I've been helped a lot by the women here - it's an incentive to keep going because you don't want to let people down. I think this time I actually want to quit - I've made some half hearted attempts in the past but I'm really sick of spending the money and time on smokes - and after chemo and all it just seems awfully dumb to light up.
I am grateful that I got to see something that I have never see before. They are like tumbleweeds but made out of snow. Our yard has about 10 of them - they are fairly lightly packed and have holes in the middle. (this is for day 28)
For day 29, I a grateful that I have several working space heaters. Even with one blasting all the way, the warmest I can get it in my bedroom is 63 - luckily I like it cold these days because the tamoxifen seems to keep my internal temps higher. Yay for SEs.
-
I am grateful I was able to walk half a mile and not be completely tired out. And after that I am grateful to be back inside out of the rain in my nice warm bedroom.
-
Grateful for the day. And went to NH and back for work, productive trip. Not grateful for the cold, but am for the sun!
-
I am grateful that my husband ran the vacuum tonight.
-
I am grateful that my glass tile backsplash is done and you can actually see the counters and floors again in the kitchen. I am grateful that DH helped me today.
-
I am grateful that DH is finished with a very stressful project he was involved in!
-
Day #30
Today I am grateful for my GD Melanie, who turned 11 yesterday, and was very charming and excited and well behaved when we took her and her mom to East Side Mario's for dinner last night. An enjoyable evening!
-
Today I am grateful for the inching toward spring and a bit more daylight every day
-
I am grateful to see blue overhead (but shhhh! don't say it aloud or it may get scared and run away)
-
Lol Curve
-
I shoulda kept my virtual mouth shut! It's gone all overcast. In fact, it's raining.
-
getting caught up, very busy day yesterday
Curve: happy for you! Please send the rain way down south here. (Or maybe you did, overcast and gloomy tonight, more ports call for sprinkles tomorrow, hoping it pours, but clear by Saturday morning).
Day 29: so grateful I may be getting some career counseling (need to shift gears, where do I go from here?). While in the area, dropped off an application. Brought back memory of stopping at this same place to drop off a different app (didn't get the job) on the way to Dancing with the Stars with. Good friend. Ran to the local produce market, one guess who I see there? Funny, I was thinking of her only a couple hours before.
Also, last week, was offered to go a special event this Saturday at Knott's Berry Farm (amusement park near Disneyland), to honor BC survivors but I was too late in responding (only 50 spots available). There was a mistake in the process so I sent nice email back about the glitch. They responded and said they reached their max and would put me on a waiting list. Was thinking yesterday I should probably make plans for the weekend. Late in the afternoon, got an email there 4 cancellations, first come, first served. So, I'll be going to this event: free admission and parking, survivors and guest served a special breakfast, special photo event for survivors only, then all-day use of facilities. DH was excited about this last week, now not so much. I'm planning to go even if he bails.
-
I think when you spend time thinking about being grateful eventually it changes your spirit and you find yourself overjoyed with gratitude...and for that I am grateful, thankful and filled with joy.

Today I am grateful that my DH has told me he is taking me out to dinner tonight so no cooking for me!......lol......We are going to the local Italian restaurant and it has the best food!!
-
Have fun ChrissyB.
