100 Days of Gratitude

I am grateful my new med is causing only minor side effects (tiredness) so far.
-
I am grateful that I am still agile enough to climb up a ladder and squat on the floor to TSP walls and baseboards
-
Day 26: I am grateful for a relatively relaxing day, well almost. DH made breakfast (something he hasn't done in months and even cleaned the kitchen). Watched some TV, took a nap. While making dinner I noticed the sound of a low-flying police helicopter overhead in our neighborhood. This lasted for about 45 minutes, then I could hear the loud speaker telling someone to stop running and lie on the ground, this went on for about an additional 15 minutes. Heard emergency sirens race up the street, then silence. Nothing on the Internet, hoping I hear something on the news tomorrow.
-
Grateful that today is a new day! Yesterday wasn't much fun with DH and DS being on the outs for much of it.
-
Day #27
Today I am grateful for a little thing. My cell phone, which allows me to keep in touch with my MO, DH, my kids and all my friends from BCO.
-
Today I am grateful for my little office area with the foldup treadmill in the closet. Whenever I need an attitude adjustment I jump on the treadmill - et voila - all is right with the world.
-
Grateful today is 46 degrees in Massachusetts and I heard a few birds. Spring can't be far behind
-
I am grateful that today I got my two litres of water consumed.......yipeee!
-
I am grateful that I could bring a pot of coffee to & have a long chat with a friend who is going a little stir-crazy as she recovers from hip replacement surgery.
-
Nel - let's hope those little rodents agree with you on Feb 2nd!
-
grateful for a snow day and I was able to enjoy an extra cup of coffee. Grateful for the extra energy I had today, did my 15 minute treadmill, went for a walk outside and shovelled the driveway!
-
I am so grateful I found out today that long term disability is going to pay me for lost wages when I go back to work. I had no idea this could happen! PTL!!!!

Hi CC, missed you girl!!! And yes, the same thing twice seems okay. Although maybe we should be adding extra days for each time we repeat. Lol.
Lovewins, glad you'll get the back pay.
Wow Shari, you were energetic. I'm beat after going back to work today. I'm making dinner then sitting down to watch my bum grow bigger!
Barsco, I suspect Nel is in denial about winter. We have absolutely no signs of spring here yet. Maybe she imagined the smell of spring in the air. Wishful thinking, you suppose?
Just teasing Nel. Hope you had a great day.

I am grateful that my body has adjusted to tamoxifen and that my side effects are minimal.
-
wow Maddy, that would have been a quick, lock the doors and windows experience.
Today I am grateful that my kitchen walls are ready for the glass tile backsplash I'm going to install tomorrow. Long day of scraping wallpaper off today.
-
Yay for backpay, lovewins. It's so great to get money that you didn't know you were going to get.
Well I hate to duplicate but like pooh-61 I'm grateful for the hot bath I get to take tonight.
Thanks all for the well wishes on the surgery recovery (it is getting better), and the not smoking. Off to run the tub.
-
Ziggy, you should take the money you save by not smoking & put it in a jar. Some friends of ours did that & every year they would take a great vacation all on the money they saved by not smoking!
-
CC, your F.I.G.H.T. program sounds interesting. Is there a support group or someone you have to be accountable to?
Curveball, every little helps.
Ziggy, you are doing great! How do you feel about your progress?
Susie, the police helicopter was way up the street. Nothing on news or Internet though.
Day 27: grateful I got thru today, Mondays can be tough for me. Glad I just kept busy and that DD came home after a couple days - and best of all, in a great mood and very chatty.
-
Today I am grateful for my neighbor. I have a friend arriving from the UK tomorrow and when I came home from work tonight my neighbor had finished the last of my "getting ready for company" chores she had washed the window, curtains and blinds for me (she is retired and has a spare key) so all I had to do tonight was make the bed and run the vacuum.
-
What a nice neighbor!
Today, I am grateful that even though it is 0 degrees here, the washer repairman was able to come work on my washer.
-
Grateful for thoughtful, generous neighbours who ventured out in the nasty weather to deliver some homemade cinnamon buns. Delish!
-
Love those neighbors! And yes I was in denial yesterday. back to 10 degrees or so today and a major struggle to get out of bed and moving! But here I am at work - and grateful to continue to feel well enough to do so!
Also grateful to be having a late lunch with my bff. She is searching out restaurants for the reherseal dinner for her son's spring wedding. We are trying one today, and yes grateful to have a job with more flexibility than one can imagine - so I will leave to go meet her!
-
I am grateful that the sun is shining & the wind isn't blowing
-
Grateful for my exercise session with DH and Leslie Sansone. Am hoping to regain energy and strength through more exercise.
