Anna K of Fox News....interesting and so charming as she lets Fox news demean her for a pay-check. I think she belongs on Fox news if she thinks having to put up with a hypocrite telling her what to do is a good thing. I think I would have lost it about 5 seconds into this interview.

OKAY - this is a "three line whip" - WATCH THIS WOMAN SPEAK ABOUT HER FRIEND. Thank you.

How blessed we are, to have two Presidents who recognize what Maya Angelou does, in Mandela. If you haven't yet heard President Clinton speak of Mandela, find his talk about Mandela and forgiveness. Know all have heard President Obama.
Tomorrow will be a special day in SA. Thinking of our Enjoyful.
Blue - hope you don't get our ice. Too dangerous to go outside today, but was kinda fun being inside and watching those crows s-l-i-d-i-n-g across the place where I tossed them the cut up apples....they are clowns without the ice, but this was really funny! -
Oh Sunny, can you take videos of the crows?? Sounds hilarious. -

Alphonse Mucha 1860-1939
I have 4 of his in my ensuite. -

-
Sunny, that would be a hoot to watch! Goodnight all. -

This one made me laugh out loud for quite some time!
-

And this one is pretty clear, isn't it?
-

And one last incendiary to explode some empty heads ...

Oh, Jackie, that's wonderful!!! I'm so grateful for all the posts which show me what I miss not having cable tv!
Up at 4 am, to watch the ceremony in SA. For all you sleepy heads, you'll get a chance later to hear President Obama's magnificent tribute, and hear him deliver, as eloquent as ever, maybe even more so, the CALL to follow in Mandela's footsteps, to find the "better angels of ourselves" - and continue the fight for justice for all, for Peace and reconciliation, of all the speakers in that vast stadium, only one, The President of the United States got a standing ovation, and welcome. I continually give thanks Barack Obama is our President, and feel both gratitude and pride in his representing the United States. -
Sun, hitting the like button. -
Me too!

Good Afternoon Buddies!
The sun finally came out and we're in the low 40's ... supposed to get much cooler over the next few days.
I'm so happy as my work is finally starting to pick up.
Quiet around here this afternoon ... hope everyone is doing okay.
I finally got my Christmas cards signed and addressed ... just need to put the stamps on them. After all these years, I finally went through all my address lists and cleaned them up. On one list there were four of our friends who have died. On another three are gone. I also lost a bunch of close friends this year because of a giant misunderstanding ... so anyway ... the list was much smaller this year.
hugs for everyone,
Bren -
I spent the day with this little guy!

What a doll!!! -
Recorded and watched a good part of the Mandela funeral. If nothing else, what a way to see the people of Africa, so barely visible in our world. Obama is greatly admired, a "son of Africa." Wonderful to know our leader is not loathed abroad like he is amongst the racists in our country (separating those who just have policy differences, out - though hard to know the difference, these days, so much hate spewed). How wonderful to see the 2 wives, one former, kiss each other in their shared love for Mandela. He does seem to transcend all natural divisions. In that context, Obama shaking Raul Castro's hand gave me hope for some reconciliation there, though I'm sure that was more about the moment and context.
The bitter cold is suppose to go away, here, starting tonite! The power stayed on and only a few inches of snow. It was manageable.
My poor little Emma kitty is missing her "sister" so much. She sticks close to me and meows a tremendous amount - like she needs something but doesn't quite know what it is. Now she has a herpes infection (stress induced), which never goes away for her on it's own, so I will be back to pilling a cat twice a day. Good grief. I'm thinking about getting a kitten sooner, rather than later, though I wonder if that will cause her more stress, or less? Also, I worry about having 2 youngish cats and having BC return. The thought of leaving my cats without me, well the problem hasn't been solved. -
Blue ... OMG ... Philip is adorable. Lucas used to have those same two fingers stuck in his mouth all the time! Baby slobber everywhere! So glad you got to spend the day with the baby.
hugs,
Bren -
I'm tired but rejuvenated at the same time! He is soooooo good! Smiles all the time. -

This would work:

-
Blue - what an adorable baby. He's just gorgeous.
Kam - my daughter just adopted a new kitten. Her year old kitty has just taken over the role of mommy and is so happy, spending much of her day washing her new "baby."
