    cowgirl,

Not exactly certain what you are saying and/or asking here??
    "Gentlemen,
Asking for updates on your better halves and you guys!"

R U asking we men for updates on our better halves...which they may not have already expressed here? In my case (our case), I believe evilelf has already posted that she is finished with RADS and moving along very well. She is a real trooper! She even drove about 400+ miles to visit her mom just so her mom could visibly SEE how well she is--rather than hearing her say it on the phone.

We [evilelf & I and our 2 Schnauzers] even go for long walks up mountainsides and along our nearby stretch of lake often...just Sunday morning was the last time--as I live 180 miles away until I retire end of this year; yay! Our doggies love long walks as much as we do!

If mama is good, I am good. Remembering the old phrase, "If mama ain't happy, nobody's happy!" LOL Izzat the kind o' update(s) you are soliciting?

My wife managed to contract a chest cold in the middle of June and now has a deeper voice than me! I don't know if I mentioned it, but she had some weird growth removed from her arm that the doctor said usually only old people get. Aside from that, most all is well, but she better get back to 100% because we leave for vacation Thursday afternoon!

Funny about the growth on your wife's arm Shemp as I keep getting all these little skin tags. Never ever had them before. My body thinks it's old cos of the lack of estrogen I think lol.
Hi Carrie, how you doing? That was my best Joey impersonation from friends

Is there a better thread to discuss?
My wife is two years into reoccurance. BC is speading, not in a major organ. Major discomforts. I cannot bring myself to discuss death with her or anyone else.

I just found this thread! My name is Dave, and my wife Ruth was diagnosed in 2003. She went through chemo, a lumpectomy and then a mastectomy the same year. In 2004, they took her other breast, as a precaution. In 2005, she was diagnosed with bc in her spine, ribs, skull and pelvis. This May, it was discovered in her left femur, an additional rib, and in her left lung. Needless to say that was quite discouraging.

For me, this has been an emotional rollercoaster, to say the least. There have been times when I did not think she was going to make it through the week. There have been times when it seemed she had no health issues (although that has been a while). I never knew what an anxiety attack was before 2003. Now, they are commonplace.

A couple of things that gives us strength is our Faith and our family (church, work, friends and blood). This place is a good resource to find voices that have gone (and who are going) through what we are living with. I place you all in the friends column.

    Dave,
Welcome and we are sorry you had to join us.

    hugs for (((Ruth)))

It is a roller coaster Dave and I like you began having trouble with depression and anxiety.
The wonderful people here helped me so much through all this mess , I also went on Lexapro which helped me too.

I also would like to invite you to the pray and inspiration
boards. A really nice place to start your day, and we would be happy to add Ruth and yourself to our prayer list.

This is a safe place Dave to vent , share what ever you need . I feel very honored to be added to your friend list.
Looking forward to getting to know you and your Ruth better.

    Prayers and Hugs,
    Carrie

Hi Carrie, that is the only good thing about going private and paying for my tests - I get the results the same day. The only one I had to wait for was the ct scan and that was only a couple of days. So I've done ct scan, bone scan, blood work and gynae, stuff all I have to do is the mammo and yes Carrie they are NED NED NED, so I am truly happy as you can guess. Liver is still fatty though - waiting to see what doc has to say about that.
I was thinking the same thing about the guys. If they're not here then it must be good news.
Can't believe you missed your appointment lol.
Have to run - off to work
    Hugs

Haven't seen him for a few weeks though, been too busy doing my tests. Hope to see you all here soon lol.

different breast in cowgirls words "CRAP"
But she says it feel like it has a ledge and ropey so
she thinks it is going to be B9 but sending me for a bilat
diagnostic on the 3rd to be safe. I hate this!! I know I don't have any room to whine:( but whine I am!! It just makes me go to what if land. Geez I can't even imagine the henney
this gives you all when I've only had funky cells and it scares me! okay I feel better now can I have some cheese
    with my whine

    I just got back...

Well, that's obviously not the news we all hoped to hear for you, but at the same time, is it okay to say at least it's ledgey and ropey? Some people can't buy a break. My wife also had another growth removed this spring, but it was benign. She's like a human petri dish of genetic malfunctions. She thought it was really romantic when I said that to her. I told her to knock it off, no more experimenting to see how you can grow goofy cells. I figure that's a solid long-term strategy.

Back to you though... knock it off with growing funky cells! I think all of us will give you full permission to whine all you want through the 3rd. Then after the 3rd, you're going to have to buck up after you get that report back that says it's benign, fair enough?
