Thank you for explaining all of that Cowgirl lol.
I had my lymph massage the other day and we both agree that my sleeve is just making my hand worse. The good news is that my therapist has told me only to wrap at night now. She nows how depressed I was getting with the whole thing. I have ordered two gloves from England which I will wear (when I feel like it lol) when they get here. It is such a relief not having to wear the bandages all the time.
Hugs

Wendy Hi sweetie!
I can't find the July thread either? Hope cowgirl will come by soon, she is good at hunting stuff up or maybe she can ask Rose G what happened , Somewhere I don't have to be strong is gone too that is where I met cowgirl and she helped me so much with all that Denise and I were going through. Fumi also would post there.
I have a special fondness for all the July warriors but I have to say that you Wendy and Erica and Fumi were so good to always welcome me and encourage and answer questions,
If I never thanked you It meant alot to me, and Denise, Thank you sweetie.
big hug,
Carrie -
Mags,
I am happy you don't have to wrap all the time.
Good luck with the glove hope it helps your hand.
I don't know alot about all that I just know that it sounds like a pain in the A and I feel bad when I read about anyone having to deal with that crap!!
Hugs,
Carrie -
Wendy!
So good to see another Texan down here! I think for the most part it is fixed!
Mags,
I would think depression is a big part of your LE, I mean there is something about it being so hard to treat! Big hug coming your way, I know it does seem like you are not making progress. I bet you are only very slowly!
Maybe these new gloves will be the trick you need, with my shoulder I use lots of tricks to get it to do what I need. -
Carrie,
Awww, thanks. I Y Q, 2!!!
(My MIL is a retired clown - yes, my mil, the clown - very few people can say that -- anyway, she wears a pin on her lapel that says "IYQ". When people read it, she replies, "I like you, too!")
Cowgirl,
on the LE front, I have a friend who had ALL of her nodes removed. She doesn't have LE but has been told just to "be careful". She doesn't have a sleeve. She knows not to get it sunburned, and not to wear tight jewelry, but I advised her to read up on it a little more. I don't think her dr. is giving her good advice. Am I right?
Well, better go for now,
Hugs,
Wendy -
Wendy,
My mom is so careful and she lost a few nodes only, I would be in a bubble to prevent LE! Somebody told mom that the LE thing is overthought, but if you have it you think differently since it is preventable!
if nothing else I would wrap every so often if I was her! poor thing! -
Thanks, cowgirl, I did send her a link about it (a link to the information part of bc.org), but I don't want to scare her. She's had so much other junk to deal with. But then again, I also want her to be informed. Thanks for your opinion. I do appreciate it.
Hope you're getting some of the cooler weather down there that we've had up here.
Wendy -
Hi everyone!
I apologize to all for not posting for awhile. Been kind of busy getting this single parent thing down to a fine science. I have been reading all of your posts to try and get familiar with all of you and what is happening with you.
So far....so good! The kids are fine. I got a bit of a surprise on Monday when I went out to the cemetary and saw thata the headstone was up. I did not know that it was going to done that day. It is VERY strange to see your name on a headstone AND you are still upright and walking. Anyway............It looks great and I know Kathy would be pleased. They monument company even got the inscription that I wrote for the back of the headstone correct. It looks great and will give everyone a laugh and a smile when they leave. If you want I will put it in another post. Right now I have to go. Work calls. Now if I can only figure out what is for dinner.
I will be a better visitor and monitor all the posts. Maybe I have some good advice and suggestions to you all.

Wendy!
Carrie was telling me the reason I reacted to mosquito bites was my lymphnodes being taken(you know the breast lymphnodes go with your breast tissue). So make sure she uses bug repellant. I swear by Deep Woods Off, but they have an active off now I am testing. We keep a bottle in the car, truck and home for the kids, we use a lot of it.
Hopefully she will be okay!
Lary,
I bet Kathy was a wonderful parent, so you have double the shoes to fill! I know it is hard to do! Parenting is just hard enough much less when you are completely outnumbered. So post it for us Lary, we are curious to know her sense of humor. -
Yes Laryy please post it I would love to see it.
So glad to hear from you again!
carrie -
OK folks.....here it is. I spent several weeks re-writing this. This is how it appears on the back of the monument:
Kathy Louise
Married to Larry for nearly 21 years
Mother extraordinaire
Selfless devotion to family
Teacher to thousands of children
Loved by all she met
Cheerful in all weathers. Never an unkind word.
Unsatisfied sense of adventure
Strongest and bravest person I ever knew
My best friend
GREAT LEGS!
So there it is! Kathy is up in heaven right now with her hands on her hips with a big smile on her face and giving me the "LOOK".
Thanks fo listening. Have a good day everyone.
Larry -
Oh Larry, I love it!
I think I would have liked Kathy very much !
Thank you so much for sharing that.
You made me smile .
Hugs,
Carrie -
I love it! I know that Look! Hubby ignores that look a lot!
-
I think it's perfect!! I bet she knew you were going to do that, too. Love it!

I think you're right. We were a good team. Still haven't figured out why she said yes when I asked her to get married. I always said that that I got the better end of the bargain when we got married. Kathy disagreed. It was a friendly little spat that we had for 21years.
Have a good day guys!
Lar -
Hi Wendy, nice to meet you.
Larry, pleased that you came by to say hello. My bf have a little spat going on about who loves the other one more lol.
Carrie, Cowgirl my sister is here now so I might not have so much time to pop in for the next 9 days. There's a lake that is fed from the sea near here so we're going to take her and her husband there tomorrow. It's so nice - we might even swim.
Hugs

Hey everybody: Sorry for being so out of touch. Welcome Wendy and Welcome back, Larry.
DW is feeling well for the most part and has even stated attending a jazzercize and yoga classes fairly regularly. Tonight she's got another one of her cancer support group meetings where they talk nutrition, mental health, etc.
And, if it ever stops raining, we might even go for a bike ride one of these days!
Best,
Greg -

We are having rain all the time here in Ohio too, it is really getting old fast. It is very chilly too for this time of year. Has'nt seemed like spring lately.
My DH shared his cold with me and I have asthma so mostly the past couple of days I have been laying around .
Mags,
I have said this before , Your area of the country is so
breathtakingly beautiful WOW , My friend said that Greece
was beautiful and she was right.
Okay now which picture can I take this time hee-hee.
Larry,
I meant to tell you that my DH and I have a friendly spat too. He tells everyone I asked him to marry me, told our kids everyone! Goes into great detail how I begged him.
Please he wishes lol!
Hugs everyone hope it isn't raining too much where you are~

So what about this?
This old castle was originally built in 1582 and it's located just 20 minutes drive away from my appartment. -
Mags how I love your scenery! No wonder Jackie O had to live there!
On a sad note our little struggling goat frenchcry died today. He had multiple stones, and I could get one cleared but more kept forming. He was so young to have so many, longterm I couldn't kept him comfortable. As my son said he died with his boots on (a John Wayne term), happy and with his buds till the end.
We banded the rest today, so they are laying down whining. My DH said they will perk up tomorrow, I gave them some b12 to get them energitic again. -
Setting in my computer chair !!
Fumi that is so beautiful! I love that picture .
We have a house in a town not far from where I live that has a roof on it like the one you posted it always made me think of Japan. When I was a little girl I would imagine that people from a far away exotic country came here and built it, as we have none others around that have a roof like this! I always loved to look at it and wondered what the inside looked like too!
I love old things I like to think about the people that lived in the times or hold an object in my hands and feel the ghost of the past in them.
Thank you for the beautiful pics guys.
Carrie
