It seems there's been more loss than usual recently. I'm so sorry to hear that Veggy has left us so young. -
I can't find any words to say....very sad day. -
Oh, no...........
I am very saddened to hear this...........

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a little while and decided to post.
First off I am lucky, no chemo or rad but I am having terrible hair loss. I have small patches, 30+ the size of a pencil eraser, well a little bigger of bald spots on the top of my head, the dermatologist says that the hair follicles are dead which means that they will not grow back. I have a biopsy on the 25th. The bald patches are dark pink. Has this happened to anyone else? What was the outcome? -
Kat welcome.......don't lurk, join in....we would love to have you, except not under these conditions...however just to let you know......
I am the smartest, prettiest, funniest.sexiest, oldest broad on this thread.....possibly the whole website, and a member of the Mile High Club.......but that is not important.......do Welcome to the nuthouse.....
Now bald spots....never heard of that so far......I did get hair thinning, but I am on Letrozole, and that is a SE of the medicine......not horrible, but I had nice hair......probably the only thing I could brag about on this entire body....lol
Maybe you should check with another Derm, and see what they say.....it has to be difficult.......
On this thread I never heard anyone mention that happening, but they do talk about thinning, and losing their hair, but most are on drugs that cause it to happen.....
Now you don't be shy.....these ladies are wonderful, and you will love it here, WELCOME....and come back soon.......hugs -
Sandy...I'm in your pocket forever
i hope you get some news soon ♥

Hi Ducky thanks for the warm welcome. Great introduction~ You had me smiling~Thanks. This is my second Dermatologist and PCP was surprised at what she had to say. I guess I just need to not worry and wait for the biopsy and then the results.
I like to laugh so I guess this a good site to be on.( I must say I love the new
's)
Happy Sunday to all I hope everyone sleeps well tonight~ -
Sandy, I'm holding on the Sheila's hand, so where ever she goes, I go. Therefore I'll be in yur pocket whenever you need us as well.
Welcome, Kat. No balding patches, but very heavy thinning of my hair. With all of the blood work and testing I'e been through the last few months they found out I was Vitamin B deficient. I also cannot obtain my B from my diet so I have been taking the injections monthly for the past 3 months. It may be my imagination, but I think my hair is getting a little thicker. What I am getting at is maybe it is a vitamin deficiency that is causing it.
Yes, you'll laugh here, but you can also vent about medical issues and daily life issues. It's a good place to be. -
I'm on Letrozole and had a lot of hair loss .....it seems to go in cycles.....my hair is pretty thin now... -
((((TOL))))
I know I haven't been on much, mostly on FB.
(((((Sandy)))))
I remember veggie, I did't know she was that sick also:-(
Rebekah and Nick called me tonight........GUESS WHAT!!! -
Congratulations, Grandma! -
Yay Deb!!!! Congratulations -
congrats Deb........I gave 18......plus 3 greats. And another on the way in April....it just keeps getting better...... -
Oh what wonderful news, Deb. So happy for all of you.
Kat - welcome...I have very thick hair and have been asking my hair guy if he noticed thinning (I thought I did). Then one day he asked me if I had a lot of stress and I said "of course" (doesn't everybody)...and he said I have allopecia (hair loss) - he showed me a (white) spot on my hairline the size of a nickel.. I have noticed my hair falling out slightly but steadily...and it's "flatter". I am on letrozole and expect that it will continue. It sounds like you are doing all you can to determine if your condition needs treatment. I am hoping the you will find a diagnosis and remedy.(((Sandy))) in your pocket...thinking of you every day.
-

Here is Mom to be a few days ago and she is going to run the Turkey Trot race in Ayer, MA with Nick. I told her to take it easy. She said, "I'll just jog Mom." -
I just touched something which I don't no what and something was removed from my favorites.
I'm goin to the veggy thread for some comfort.
I'm miserable. -
Deb, beautiful photo! Wonderful news.
I agree - it is easy to lose a post here and to lose a thread from the faves list.
