X FACTOR Season 3 ~~~ THE VOICE Season 5

I'm done with voting....Will and Grey got 10 votes each
I really liked Grey last week so giving her another chance to recover -
She may very easily stay in on the basis of her other performance, she has a captivating voice but got lost tonight. I don't think Shelby will get by. Night all, I'm still operating on the old clock. See you tomorrow. -
Good Night -
I only saw the last 3 last night. Sorry to have missed Ray, but TessAnne was AWESOME! -
I don't know if it is just me (chemo ear?) but the vocals sounded very indistinct last night, I couldn't hear the lyrics very well. That goes for all of them. As a result of that and the song choices, I can't say I cared for any of them, really. They were all "o.k." but most of them missed some notes (like Will in his falsetto.) I like Tessanne, but her over-the-top powerhouse singing was too much on that Jimmy Cliff classic, IMO, and she went off-key too, even tho' she was probably the best of the rest last night. Was not impressed by the judges song choices at all. Sorry guys, I guess I just didn't like the show that much last night (and last night had most of the singers I had liked previously.)
Hope tonight is better, but if not, I won't post...in the vein of if I can't say anything nice, I just won't say anything.
p.s., By the end of last night's show, the judges were struggling to find some nice words for each artist, without being repetitious (except Cee-lo, who just said "great" for everyone indiscriminately.) Like now they just want to be the "good guys" and let America do the dirty work of dumping the bad (or unpopular) ones. -
I agree she went flat there at the end when she was really belting it out but by then it didn't matter. She & Caroline are by far my fav girl singers. So the judges are picking the songs? -
Too much screaming, reminded me of Idol, when they all go for that one great note, this time it was several notes, Sorry Amber. -
-
elimar, totally agree with you on how hard it was to understand what the lyrics were, lots of mumbling last night. Tonight, I'm not crazy about CeeLo's song picks. I think I'm in a grumbly mood. -
Elimar...I'm having the same problem about hearing...
something in their technical system is not functioning right or my ears are confused from Elderly age
Karen...i'm a very critical judge again...the last girl who sang i will Survive was terrible
Maybe i should shut my mouth....... -
sheila, if you should I should also, I thought she was terrible too, Cat was just following CeeLo's instructions to be sweet and breathy and that's not who she is, that's why everyone was waiting for her to rock it out. Who is he this season - all peace and light and best show ever and God bless America, he is all over the map.. -
I'm not a Taylor Swift fan but Caroline has a sweet voice -
Just don't like the song, Blake was funny with his amputations and cotton candy allusions, so much for Team CeeLo - onto Team Christina, hope we see and hear someone to jump up and down for!. -
-
XTina's team is the last chance...maybe ???????? -
Senior ears again, mumble, mumble. Bring back The Swon Brothers and fishing in the dark!! -
I did like Olivia and Roar, why didn't Blake turn for her? -
Roar ????????? -
The name of the song Olivia sang. OK Stefanie Ann, she did rock it out, powerful voice and can switch to tender. -
LOL Karen Sorry for elderly moment -
No problem sheila, it's getting late for us seniors set. Matthew just sang that song, that I don't even like, right out of the park. The best of tonight's stars. -
Good Night Karen
See you Thursday Night
♥ -
Oh my word, another 16 yr. old vies for the top. Jacquie Lee was FANTASTIC, I was glued to the screen. What a voice, what emotion, what range, what stage presence, every other coach is thinking of lighting a fire under their stars, CeeLo may be right - Blake isn't going to win this year, Christina is, if Jacquie keeps on growing. Night all, sheila. Karen -
Two Words = Little Jackie Lee.
Hahaha! I know that was three words. OMG, she killed it! Then she brought it back to life and killed it again. Could a sixteen year old win this show two years in a row? Maybe. She was just so naturally good.
Matthew was also technically excellent tonight.
Anyone reading this will think I am SO FICKLE, but I revise my opinions from week to week as the contestants themselves develop, or depending on what kind of night they have.
THANK GOODNESS I am not having chemo ear. There must be something in how they are broadcasting that muddies the vocals. It was still a little hard to hear tonight, but seemed to have improved a bit from last night. -
Hi Elimar.....I just gave my 10 votes to Jackie
I liked her from the beginning but tonight .....didn't jump up and down
I'm glad you don't have Chemo ears anymore
Good night again....... -
Ditto everything you said eli, she was unbelievable, Matthew was second to her first place. 16 yr. old!!!!! -
UPDATE
On Thursday, we learn which artists advance to the top 12. -
-
Even tho' consistency is a big factor to winning, I kind of like when a different contestant "wins" each week...it keeps it more interesting than if the same person blows away all the others every time. -
Jackie Lee-hands down-best of the night!
