Rangermom, congrats on the upcoming first grandbaby. Nbnotes, what a great photo and where were you at when it was taken? Leah, it's wonderful that the acrylic nails lift your spirits. -
nbnotes - LOVE the dolphin photo!!! Happy belated birthday!
rangermom - congrats on your upcoming grandbaby, your daughter is beautiful! -
Thanks all, took her and hubby homemade soup and yeast rolls tonight. She looks so tired. She has to work the next 3 days. I'm praying the baby comes instead. -

I wasn't too worried about the delivery. My daughter and I firmly believe that childbirth is normal and are not too thrilled that it's sometimes treated like an illness. That being said, my daughter did choose an epidural which had the unfortunate se of slowing down the progress of her labor and she ended up with a c-section. Of course, when things ended with a beautiful healthy baby and healthy but exhausted mom, nothing else mattered! Wishing your daughter the best. -
Nbnotes, what an awesome photo!!
rangermom, praying for a healthy mom and baby. So excited for you! -
Rangermom, I am so excited with you..Please inhale that boy's smell for me, too..so special. I remember having my son sleeping on me after breastfeeding so that I could stick my nose to his head to suck that baby smell in!
Leah, 10 grandchildren, maşallah!!! Your heart is real, dear, the rest can be fake, who cares..
nbnotes, such a sweet moment with the dolphin..I just confessed dh I would be happy to hug a dolphin myself, seeing your photo, he said "how romantic.." maybe he makes a suprise for me someday?? Happy belated birthday btw.
Caryn, I always found it weird giving birth in a hospital..pregnancy is not a sickness..There are a few private birth & baby/mother care medical institutions here, still not so popular..I gave birth in a hospital myself as well. I had epidural as well, only at the last minute though ( could in fact complete the adventure without it!) & hated the SE's afterwards..I suspect it may have triggered my spine mets even.. Wouldn't have opted for it if was asked today..
Just returned from the theatre, saw the movie GRAVITY, featuring George Clooney & Sandra Bullock..OMG. It was so much more than just an adventure movie..A must see, if you haven't already!!!
hugs,

Windy windy day here in Bflo NY. I wanted to stay in my lounge chair, but my fiance bundled me into a blanket, walked me to the car and drove to the edge of Lake Erie so we could watch the waves crashing on the shore. Nature's force is amazing! He then drove me to our favorite gelato store, ran in, and brought me a chocolate/coffee gelato. He's so sweet.
I agree Ebru - Gravity was awesome! Saw it in IMAX and was completely enthralled.
Happy weekend all.
Laura -
Laura I was on the third row as only seats in the first 3 raws were left.. Glad it was so, IMAX works best in the front rows!!! and we were asking for back seats till now.. Great discovery indeed!!!
How about switching your mick to loveforfiancee btw -
Ebru - We were about 5 rows back. It really was an amazing movie.
loveforfiancee would be such a true name :-) We have been together 6 1/2 years and he's been through every stage of my cancer fight. We have to get around to planning a wedding one of these days!!!
Laura -
DivineMrsM - I was at Discovery Cove which is a Sea World park in Orlando with dolphin interactions as it's primary attraction. Such fun! -

I got to play hide and seek yesterday with my two precious granddaughters! Celebrated oldest son's 37th birthday. I had a mastectomy the week after my 37th birthday. Time flies. How blessed I am to still be around to enjoy these grand babies! -
Beautiful little girls! -
DevineMrsM,
We were at her baby shower and it seemed to be about 100 degrees that day. She was overwhelmed with her presents and it made me feel so great that it was all she had hoped for. I made one of those cute Diaper Cakes for her out of diapers and baby items, she got a kick out of that too. -
ranger mom, looking forward to baby news!! -
Glenna, so lucky you are to have these cuties, borh gorgeous!!!
Rangermom, so little time left to hug your own grandchild. You should be very excited now!!
Ebru -
October 31, 1987 I received the news that I had breast cancer. Wow. 26 years ago. I will celebrate today! Having lunch with a dear friend who has been with me through thick and thin! -
Watching game 5 with friends, with a special cocktail. -
Susan, they are so pretty and Soxxy!
I assume the cocktail is composed of only vitamin-enriched juices and anti-oxidants ;-) !
Tina -
They look beautiful. I bet they were yummy too. -
Ive not posted here in awhile! Getting ready for ds wedding a week from Saturday. Very country wedding with the horse drawn carriage and all the attendants wearing cowboy boots. Dh bought his first pair of cowboy boots ever, as he is the best man. Should be very interesting. I opted out of the cowboy boots, they really looked ridiculous on me. Went on a nice long boat ride yesterday, it was 80 degrees and the lake was empty. So nice... -

One of my favorite Balkan bands. Hoping to dance with them again 11/17. Can't sleep so looked them up on YouTube and found this video I didn't realize existed....back when I had hair (thank you, xeloda) ....and energy!
Also I often want to post pictures of outings like the Big E with my daughter this year but I don't have the energy to tackle the technology. This looked like an easily postable link so I'm experimenting.
-
Jill,
Which dancer is you? The band's music reminds me of klezmer music. -
3rd one in when the video starts. Heard of Klezmer music and this group I dance with mentions it sometimes but I don't know what it is. -
ha ha I new you were a movie star! Looks like it was lots of fun. Jo -
Klezmer is the traditional folk music of a Eastern European (Ashkenazi) Jews. -
I love the upbeat, can't-sit-still aspect of klezmer! I think klezmer helped popularize the clarinet and influenced a lot of jazz styling.
We always play music by the Zlezmatics and others when my partner is making dinner and I am readying the dining room for the happier Jewish holidays.
Tina -
If you are ever looking to increase your Kletzmer recording collection, consider any recording created by my friend Hankus Netsky: -
Susan, we know the Klezmer Conservatory Band! They are on one of our fave Klezmer CDs: "In the Fiddler's House" and I think we saw them once upon a time at Wolf Trap.
Tina -
I love spending time with my 4 grown kids. All of them lived out of town-across the country- for at least 3 years and one by one they're moving back-I never thought they would... Today, I had lunch with my 26 yr old son and my oldest daughter came over later and we talked for hours. I think I would rather spend time with my kids than anything in the world! That's what I'm doing for fun today.
