oh and did I mention I took all rides, including the Indiana Jones one.. Dragged my ds to Space Mountain & Aerosmith rollercoasters.. Poor guy was a bit scared, but he is happy to show off at school right now, having done absolutely everything his height allowed ( just missed Indiana Jones by 2-3 cm) ha ha.. Mm that one could have caused a heart attack to the poor little guy so not a big miss.. His absolute favorite was the Big Thunder Mountain ride..It was so great to have the ride with the pouring rain, best best best ever!!!! One night we wanted to have the ride, but were rejected the last minute as there was an actual thunder going on ha ha ha... Crazy family!
And you already know I have extensive bone mets.. I sure wouldn't want the c- buggers miss all that fun!! Actually think they may have quit eating me up after some point thinking "this gal is too crazy to bother with!"..😝😝😝
We also attended the Wild West Show where we saw bulls imported frim the States... Bulls in Paris 😳😜.
We were seated in 4 groups, actually participated in the show.. My family representing the Montana state!!
Yee ha! ( don't know the spelling ha ha)
Hugs

Brandall, impressive rock climbing! What kind of shoes/boots do you wear to maintain a good grip on those massive boulders?
Ebru, your smiling face is priceless in these Disney photos...was Jack Sparrow writing down your phone number? lol. What a good looking boy your son is; he resembles you. -
Ebru, Love the pics of you and your family. I agree your son and husband are very handsome. I think your son does resemble you as well. You look so happy in your photos, absolutely beautiful!! -
StageFree,
Your boy looks so much like you! Quite astonishing.... great pictures.
*susan* -
Thumbs 'way up, Ebru! Like, like, like! -
Love the pics of both Brandall rock climbing and Ebru's Disney trip. What fun! -
Love the Disney photos, Ebru!!! Thanks for taking us along on vacation. :-) -
lol.....that's a good one, Tina! And yes, she does indeed rock! and she is rocking that rock too! okay, okay, I will cut it out. Could not help myself.
brandall: your daughter is really a beautiful child. Very pretty little girl and she is lucky to have such a creative mom who is giving her such a cool party.
Ebru: You are sure lucky with he very brief wait times you had at Disney. would have been HOURS here to be able to get on so many rides. -
Ebru - thanks for sharing your Disney pics! I loved them! You are so prettyYour family looks so happy!
ThedivineMrs.M - The guide service we went with provided the shoes, so I don't know that much about them, except they are a really soft, sticky type rubber and they help you stick to the rock. It took me awhile to trust them, but the shoes were amazing! You basically are only held onto the rock by an inch of shoe (and the belay - thank goodness!). It was pretty terrifying, but I felt very accomplished when I was done -
loved the pictures, Ebru. You ALL looked like you were having a ball. Smiling faces always make me smile! Brandall, you are so brave! I don't think you could pay me enough to attempt a climb like that! -
Wow, Brandall! I can't imagine doing anything like that. Just looking at the picture rattles me.
Ebru, love your photos of what appears to have been a wonderful visit to Disney. I especially love the photo of you, your son, and Minnie. Glad you all had fun. -
Love the pics, Brandall and Ebru! Way to go, girls! -
Thanx for the reminder to load the pics here, Heidi -
wow! Ebru you are gorgeous! I'm sure that Jack sparrow was taking your number lol! Beautiful joyous son, very happy he spent this time with you and dh. Xoxox Jo
Brandall...there is nothing you can't do now!
I love all the pictures, I'll try again to post our trip to Halifax, not glam like you guys but the best I can do is Canada.

Last month my husband and I were able to go on our dream vacation thanks to my parent's. It's kind of a bucket list, but we flew non-stop from Chicago to Hawaii, spent the night in Honolulu at Waikiki Beach. The next day we boarded a cruise ship and went to all the Islands. We road a motorcycle on the road to Hana. We had a bicycle tour at Volcano National Park (luckily we got in a week before the government shut down) We went parasailing. We went zip lining through a tropical rain forest in Kauai and also took a helicopter ride, we saw Pearl Harbor and partied with the Aussie's on the cruise ship. All this in 8 days. We had the time of our life. We will never forget. I so agree with you that along with all the doctor's appointments and tests it's important to schedule fun as well!! Live like your living Ladies!! -
Wow, Karen, that truly is the adventure of a lifetime! I love just hearing about it, doing it had to be incredible. -
LOVe the pics Ebru, you're onto something with these pictures in your threads. they are great!
I am anxiously waiting the arrival of my first grandbaby. My daughter is due on Nov 4th and she lives close by so I'll be able to be there for the joy of greeting my grandson to his new life and family. I'm so excited I'm beside myself.....I've made 2 crochet blankets and am now making blankets for the local children's hospital neonatal ICU. Gives me lots of pleasure to make these for those little precious babies. -
rangermom,
Congratulations! Having been a grandmother for 18 months now, I can attest to the fact that it is the best!
Caryn -
Caryn,
Were you nervous for her delivery? I feel like I wish I could shield her from pain, etc. but i can't. I've got high anxiety and I want to give her the best help I can without interfering. I'm cooking dinner for her tomorrow as she is still working 10 hour shifts in the ER, she's a nurse. I can't wait to hold him. -
RangerMom, Congrats, what an exciting time for you!! Your daughter looks wonderful, I hope she is feeling well. My mother use to crochet, that is a beautiful blanket. Gifts like that are meant to be treasured. Hope you'll post pics of your grandchild. -
I think the answer to the question, "What are you doing for fun?" can be answered "Reading this thread!". I love to read about all the stuff you guys are doing.
Most of the time what I do for "fun" is the regular, get on with life stuff. It's fun and good to be able to do that with only limitations for fatigue.
So let me tell you about my nails. I had Taxol 4 1/2 years ago and it ruined my nail beds. My nails actually weren't attached in many places, they looked absolutely awful. Not so bad, though, since I just kept them covered with nail polish, aka camouflage. So then Afinitor took over the job of messing with my nails, making them brittle so they began breaking. Since the nail beds were already damaged they broke off very low and uneven. Polish wouldn't fix this mess, so I did something I've never done before - I got acrylic nails! I didn't know how happy it would make me, and they look terrific. Now that was fun!
I got dressed up a few days later and told my DH, "I'm all dressed up - fake hair, fake nails, fake boobs...."
Leah -
Cute Leah, I know that makes you feel good to have beautiful nails and all the rest to go with the look. -
Rangermom, I'm waiting with you for the new grandson. I'm privileged to have 10 grandchildren and have to say - grandchildren are THE BEST!
Leah -
This was an experience on my list that a friend, who shares my birthday, helped make come true yesterday as a bit of a "happy belated birthday to us"! -
Awhhhh, that is beautiful, thanks for sharing. The dolphin looks so happy and loved in his eyes. -
Thanks Leah, I will post pics soon I hope. 10 grandchildren, so much love to go around. You are really blessed. -
Thank you TheDevineMrsM, it really was amazing! -
Way to go Leah_S. We deserve some pampering. My nails have never been good either. I have to say though shortly after my re-diagnosis to stage 4 in January I met this girl at a home show who had Juice plus. A lot of people dish it but I'm a fan. I've had 28 chemo treatments since January and now I'm taking Afinitor and my nails have never looked better. Another thing, when I lost my hair in 2005 it grew back nasty, super curly and dark. This time I took the juice plus and used lots of moisturizer on my head and it appears to be growing back straight and beautiful natural blonde like it used to be way back when BC. It's still kind of peach fuzz so I can't be sure but I think it's going to be good! I'm still waiting for eyebrows and eyelashes to return...
