That's great news Bren! -
That's the best news Bren!!
Chickadee - good to hear you are OK ((((((((((((((((((((((((BIG BIG HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))) -
So glad to hear the good news Bren.
Now waiting to hear good news from Suzie.
Mary -
WOOHOO Bren and KK!! -
Bren, What wonderful boring news!
(((E, Chick, Suzie)))
-
Regarding my "heart attack," the nurse wrote back with this information:
"Looking at the other EKGs, there were no differences in the tracings themselves; just how it was interpreted." So I guess some EKG machines call it a heart attack and others say "Oh, it's just E again."
Is there ANY part of medicine that's science?? -
Why do you think some schools refer to the "medical arts" building?
-
E- so glad you didn't have a heart attack - everything is in the eyes of the beholder apparently.
Well, I just proved you can have a shower and only wet half of your body. Got to keep the dressing dry for 2 days - what a pain.
My hair on the other hand is gorgeous - much better than my regular hairdresser's effort - seems you are supposed to apply the Cacau (the Brazillian Keratin stuff) to almost dry hair and my regular hd had them apply it to wet hair which would dilute the effect. I didn't even have to brush it this morning. It looks very very straight, but in a few weeks that should pass and get some natural wave back.
Still in a very bad mood as expected.
I want to thank you all for your kind wishes - where would I be without you. I've told Steve I don't want to tell anyone just yet, but you girls were the first I reached out to (or swore at - thanks for putting up with it). I love you all. -
Well, excuse me while I paint a portrait of a breast cancer cure. -
Whew !!!! A big sign or relief almost.........just need to hear about Suzie. Suzie.....so hoping it is just like KK's news. AS well....E -- hope all remains well and that you get into a really good situation. The Oncologist you talked about ( my brain not hanging on so well today ) sounds fantastic. Course it always sounds better to me when treatments can be pin-pointed for the most part to things that should make a great difference.
Another long day..............have to read up yet ( gone to Marion V. A. for hubby ) on the Regressive antics and the Tehadists too.
Things could change easily, but it does sound like they all have a way to go before they hope for any traction on their slippery slope.
See you all later.
Jackie -
Gawd. Stay away for a bit and the whole ffffffking world falls apart!! On the other hand some mends itself, too.
Bren, so very glad your sis is fine.
E, dammit, woman, tell em to knock it off. They are supposed to do their homework BEFORE they speak about things like heart attacks. It soumds like you've got a fantastic MO. This will be the trial of the century!
Chickie, huge huge hugs for you. I'm thinking the healingest thoughts I can think
Suz keep those dressings dry and for gods sake if you need an MRI then get one. In the grand scheme of things 900 bucks vs your life the MRI is the way to go.
Yorkie and Kam big hugs to you and your fur babies.
I know I've forgotten things. Blessings and hugs for everyone.
-
No, E - you don't PAINT the cure ... You DANCE it! That is probably what went wrong with your EKG - you did the "cure" interpretive dance rather than the EKG interpretive dance. That, or the EKG technician stuck the pin in the wrong place in your EKG doll! -
-
Suz, I hope all is well. I had a new primary in the opposite breast that the Aromasin kept dormant, then it grew when I came off the Aromasin. At least, that's our theory. It was scary and frustrating, but small and not aggressive. But talk about anxiety! Hang in there.
Had my yearly with my onc and am set free for another year. I don't know why I still go--my primary can do labs, and at any sign of a new ache or lump, I'd call the onc in a flash. But I love him and his MA dearly, after 10 years together, and he deserves someone "easy" like me in his schedule once in a while, so I'll keep going till he's ready to unleash me.
Thinking good thoughts for all who are struggling right now, with anything. -
Anne - I am still on Aromasin - the only thing I can think is that it's not working.
Still waiting for that call. I did call the surgeon's office and let them know I'm at home and they said they would message her to keep an eye out for the path result. She's seeing patients this afternoon, so at least she will be available when and if they call her. -
B9 B9 B9!!!!!!!
Finally got the call after I had to chase up the breast clinic and the surgeon - still feel sick - the relief hasn't hit me yet
Thankyou all for your love
Happy? Susie -
Susie,
Happy dancing for you! Fantastic news. -
Thanks Juliaanna - still trying to feel good about it, but after so much stress it takes a while.
I just wish we could fix E and Chickadee - breaks my heart. My issue was nothing compared to what they are going through. -
Brenda, so so happy for your sister's good news and your relief at that news!
Suzie, thank goodness for B9. Happy dancing time!
Suz,I like the sounds of your new oncologist. Wow, emailing copies of letters sent to other docs on your behalf. That's pretty awesome.
Chick, thinking of you everyday!
And for all the fur babies who are struggling with issues, I say meow and woof woof (holding your paws)!
Jut had chemo today so it's been one of those days of lounging around. Watched 9 episodes of house of cards that a friend had lent me. 3 more to go and I am finished with the 1st season. Wondering how realistic it is.
Hugs to you all. -
Just talking to my Aunt in Sydney and her cat has feline herpes!!! I had never heard of it - apparently caught by being attacked by a stray cat. Ruby is not well - hopefully she'll improve.
I'm gradually coming out of it and feeling happier - tomorrow is another day
Very tired, going to hit the sack very early.
((((((((((((((((((((((((Enjoyful & Chickadee & Glenna)))))))))))))))))))))) -
New onc is right on top of stuff. I got a call from the pain management clinic yesterday and I'm scheduled for an appointment on Tuesday. Cray-zeeeeee. No word from the cancer shrink yet, but the week isn't quite over.
RL, I got the best mind-picture of you doing interpretive dance to the click/buzz of the EKG. It was beautiful.
E -
E- sounds like the new onc. is a winner.
Suzie - YAY!!!!
RL- I think we need interpretative dance to cure cancer on YouTube. You up for it? -
-
Great news Suzie! Dance away!
I had nice long talk with RO. I'm in a better place than I was. The good news is the location of the lesions are the reason I'm stumbling around like a drunken sailor, the better news is that means they aren't where I would lose my thinking and personality. I really didn't want to be fried into a zombie just to live. She said I would probably have to come back for a redo in a couple months for the largest one on my cerebellum to be sure they got it and there would be follow up scans. I guess they are scarier and harder to eradicate completely but one can hope.
So I'll take my silver lining in the cloud for now and hope to experience only minor confusion and fatigue. Heck that's normal now anyway. -
-
-
Great news Suzie.
Chickie I think about you every day. You are my new idol.
Blue those pictures are sooo beautiful
-
Pics are great Blue.....I love butterflies. I always think when I see them, they are angels come to check on us. Glad you are B9 Suzie. Hope it totally catches up with you soon. Chickadee.....even your news does have a small lilt to it, just wish it were much, much more.
Listening to latest news of ACA. Tehadists riding a wave to no-where. Things can change fast so would never hold my breath about too much of any of it. I do have hope that the TPer's as well as some in the Repugs end of it all will not find anything much left to sustain them. A lot of damage done this time.
Off to work where I generally have fun. Have the two adorable Yorkies all the while I'm there.
Jackie -
Chickadee the loss of the you (and me) is what I always feared from brain mets. As a Her2 + I have been cognizant of the fact that we, as a group, as well as the TNBC people, are more likely to get breast cancer with brain metastases (BCBM) than other types of BC. When you told us that you had brain mets and had to undergo WBR I was terrified for you because of the implications for the loss of self. Thank you for illuminating this very scary story. It seems that if you do get brain mets you need to hope that they are in an area that doesn't impinge on the essence of you? -
