Goodness Janet what an ordeal. I get that type of allergic reaction to oral antibiotics and know just how miserable it can be. Praying you are on the mend and will be back to your old self in no time. Don't fret over the scale. Once you are feeling better, the numbers will come down.

Tammy, you go Girl with that run! That's awesome!

I have stepped up my exercise to six days a week (I give myself no excuses)! I'm tired of struggling with my weight. I also started a more restrictive diet and during the day eat only veggies and fruit. For dinner I add a palm-sized piece of meat along with more veggies and fruit. So far it all seems to be working. I have lost four pounds. It's a lot of work and discipline, but I am so done with not fitting into my clothes well. I am giving this routine a thirty day trial to see where it leads as far as weight loss and energy. My DH is doing it with me and his weight loss is more dramatic. So far, so good. I do miss pasta though.

How is your new diet working out Kathy?

Blessings to you all and hoping you have a great and healthy day!

Congratulations on the weight loss Rocket! You are doing so well & staying motivated with exercise.

Thanks for the support ladies....I will be returning to work tomorrow. I finished the prednisone today & cut the Benadryl to 25mg 3x/day (instead of 50 mg 4x/day...I wasn't even tired!!) still taking Zyrtec & Pepcid to help act as an antihistamine. But the hives appear to be gone....this was an unbelievable allergy reaction....The worst part of it was that I didn't have any down time after the wedding to really bask in the special events......there was so much I want to remember & talk about.

My DD got news today the she got the OK for the venue where she wants to get married. There is a gazebo on the long warf in Boston....the pictures looks so beautiful, perfect fitting for the couple. May 3rd 2014 for the next wedding :-)

So.....back to work routine tomorrow. More exercise, healthy eating & lots of water for me this week. Have a great week!

    Janet

Kathy, I have a brother with MS, fortunately it is the remissive type and he as been quite well for years, but he does suffer fatigue and only works part time now.

Rocket, well done with the weight loss, you are a very motivated lady!

Janet, another wedding, you can be prepared this time to avoid any potential allergic reactions!

Tammy, I've already told mt DD that I will be doing my own hair. Lol.....

Raising money for MS is a great cause, sorry it has to be personal for you. I have taken care of many patients with MS throughout my years, it is very sad how it affects people. I'm glad your brother is able to work. The best thing is stay as active & healthy! I'm sure he is very proud of you. Will be thinking of you on Sunday!

    Hi Ladies,

We are on our way to Eastern NC and I will be having a bone scan tomorrow to rule out mets to my bones. I have had back pain for some time now. I would greatly appreciate your prayers that God would protect me, give me peace as I undergo the scan and wait for results which will likely take until Monday before I know anything.

I hope you are all well. Blessings to each of you today!

I have enjoyed her so much! We will see our daughter tomorrow as we head for home. I should have the scan results on Monday and I will be alone with no family around for support. I'm praying for a good result. I slept very little last night, unfortunately. Hopefully I can sleep tonight. Thanks for praying for me!

Rocket, wonderful news! Funny how, without cancer, we'd be worried about having arthritis, now it's a relief :-)

I hope everyone else is well. I have a job interview tomorrow....I'm hoping it goes well!

    Hi Gals,

Tammy I'm praying your interview goes well. It's great to even get an interview in this job market.

I am enjoying life again! I went on a horseback trail ride yesterday. I was scared to death. It was only my second time on a horse! The leader was excellent and really helped me get control of my fear. By the end of the ride I was trotting the horse and only holding the reins with one hand. I couldn't help but giggle with abandon every time the horse trotted and I bounced up and down. I LOVE to bounce and always have since childhood. I had one of those rocking horses with the big springs as a kid and I bounced the springs right out of it. I also saw some gorgeous scenery yesterday, but the thing that excited me the most, was being able to check an item off my bucket list - petting a cow. I have never in my life touched a cow and have always wanted to. Well, as we were riding, we passed a cow pasture with more cows in it than I have ever seen. The leader helped me dismount the horse, and my friend, who had arranged our adventure, pulled up the barbed wire fence which allowed me to crawl on my belly and access the cow pasture. At first the cows kept walking away from me (one was actually staring menacingly, but I was not to be deterred from my quest). I finally figured out that if you hold long blades of grass or weeds in front of a cow, they will stand still long enough to eat it and you can touch their head. As I held the long weed out to the cream-colored cow, she moved forward slightly and my other hand slipped up to touch the thick curls at her forehead. I was ecstatic! I couldn't believe I had actually petted a cow! Time to add new stuff to my bucket list! What a day it was. I was so excited from the adventure, that I could barely sleep last night recalling the day's events. I felt pure joy for the first time in a long time! It was totally awesome!

I hope that each of you feels joy today like I experienced. Even if it's in the little things of life. I have come to appreciate so much!

    Blessings to you ladies!
