LOVE the kate spade sandals! Um, the colors match the Kate Spade logo colors on my Kate Spade sunglasses. You might need those to "match" the shoes. And thanks for the tip of two pairs of shoe, one box!
-
The shoes are so beautiful and you are so clever to put them both in the same box! So sorry to hear about your PET scan results but so glad you were able to have some of the best therapy in the world after!
-
Just love those shoes......
-
It seems since dx...i have become a real serious shopaholic...love looking round for vintage clothes in second hand stores, i just love these shops, never know what i will find and it dosnt break the bank. hey who else loves these shops xx
-
OH I just love resale shops. I did buy a pair of denim capris and a purple black swingy top for a Mexican food dinner followed by ice cream/toe dipping in pool afterwards. Also 2 cute purple bangles ($4.00 each). All at Kohls. Kohls, Ross and Marshalls are about 20 minutes away, otherwise its 45 minutes. Still need to get to that closet shopping. Will have to search for some sandals in closet bottom.
-
I'd love some Kate Spade sunglasses! Kaza, you probably have better vintage in your area than where I live in the U.S. Very hard to find quality garments from before 1980. But I love to visit vintage boutiques when I travel especially Florida.
My new shoes came from Marshall's. The store is conveniently very close to one of my doctor offices. Happy bargain hunting, ladies. -
Ronda I am so sorry to hear about yur petscan. There are no new trials at Duke? They are so great, you would think there might be SOMEthing they could offer you, Immunotherapy? F-ing cancer.
But my goodness those are great shoes. I bet you will totally rock them!
And as for the vintage shops- LOVE them! Any resale, it is just so much fun to poke around. -
Excellent shoes, Michelle!
Sending you all good thoughts regarding your PET -- and positive thoughts that the docs will make a 'cocktail' that will eradicate all hotspots and set you up on a date with NED! Sending you a big kiss, also. XXX
-
Beautiful shoes!! I love them... Sorry to hear about the PET - just wanted to send you some virtual hugs!
I have a beautiful Kate Spade handbag from a few seasons ago but its a boring black in color not vibrant like the shoes!
-
Okay yesterday I bought a cool turquoise girls "beach coaster" bike> I love it! Going for a ride.
Happy sunday everyone -
Beachy keen, sciencegal! That's rolling in style.
-
I LOVE beach coaster bikes. They're so vintage looking. You should get a basket and put a paper bag with a baguette peeking out of it. Just like in the movies!
-
I highly approve! Wish I had picture of you riding your bike! Matching helmet?
-
Sciencegal!!
Here is one of my recent purchases. I got it on a half off sale. It attaches to my handlebars and clicks off when I arrive at my picnic destination.

Newest purchase. I was inspired by the Kate Spade shoes TarheelMichelle bought. This is Kate Spade's Daycation Tote. I love it! She has black hair like me, and it says "the jetsetter's guide to Marrakesh." Marrakesh, Morocco is my 2nd favorite international city after Istanbul, Turkey. Yay me!! Haha
-
Love the bag globalgirlygirl- very trendy!
And thanks for the bike picnic basket idea Dulci- very cool. My husband has an Evo scooter that he can ride alongside me (he's thin already and not much of a pedaler) so indeed we might bike off to a picnic somewhere.
Also I like to ride around on weekend mornings to look for yardsale "treasures" so some type of basket would be cool.
No baguette though- too many carbs! LOL -
GlobalGirlyGirl: eeeeeeeeeee!!! Adorable!!!!!!!
Loving all the bicycle stuff too, Sciencegal and Dulcigirl
All you "gals" and "girls" inspire me. -
After reading of 1Athena1's passing, I was feeling really down.
My strappy sandals were delivered which put a bittersweet smile on my face. I still feel the want to buy something Ferragamo in her honor.
RIP, sister. There are some cute purses with our names on them.
-
I am so sorry to hear that. I am going to dinner with family in st.louis and will raise a glass of wine in her honor.
We ALL need new sandals (or purses) I think. Those are super cute.
Hugs -
Purses. Definitely purses.
You're in St. Louis? I have a little four-family house there near Crown Candy Kitchen. I haven't visited it yet. Haha
-
So its nog exactly retail therapy but I have become obsessed with the idea of traveling. Does anyone have any tips/ideas for inexpensive/budget travel?
-
I did not know about 1Athena1, GGG. Searching on the threads but I can't find anything. Worried.
-
bobogirl - She was most active in another thread. This is the page where the Mods made their announcement:
http://community.breastcancer.org/topic_post?forum_id=84&id=762855&page=1518
One of the gals went to her memorial. I was so sad when I learned of her passing. I reached out to her because both of us are bipolar. She was so kind and helpful when I was first diagnosed.
-
Hi all. This is definitely my kind of thread! I guess I'm quite the Shopping Queen...what can I say? LOL! And, I've shopped-the-shet outta my Cancer Card since my BC diagnosis last November...;) Then again, I've never needed a horrendous illness to provoke me to shop... Think: Hangnail? Bad hair day? Damn-new-cheekie-panties riding-up-my-bum? Cat barf spied all over le carpet? Well then! Time to zip on over to Nordstrom!!! Gail, my personal shopper, is waiting for me in the Petites Dept.!
Heh...:)
I might be a wee bit embarrassed to fess up to ALL of my Retail Marathon-esque ways of late...BUT, a few of my favs have been a Darling! Free People white sundress w a cut out back (online @ Zappos & on sale!), a chic black leather jacket & brown leather riding boots from Nordstrom, LOTS & LOTS of jammies & lingerie from VS, and some amazing brown, distressed/vintage-y Cowgirl boots from a local shoe store on Saturday...:)
Oh, I'm also awaiting the arrival of a new white Super-Darling-o cotton tiered skirt coming this week...which should be Adorbs w the Cowgirl boots, Me thinks...;)
I'm very petite/ wear an XS or XXS/0, so my Shopping Adventures take some work! Hard to find small sizes and
5 1/2 shoes/boots are even harder to score on! OY!
Somehow, I manage...LOL!
GREAT to see I have some like-minded Shopping Queens here!
YAY!
VIOLET/Ann Marie -
Ann Marie, sounds like you've been having fun!!!! I keep forgetting that Zappos has clothing now. Need to check that out. Been searching for the "perfect" boot for 2 years now. Post some pics if you can. Would love to see.
Happy shopping, everyone. -
Rhonda
If you are looking for some great boots that are reasonably priced, very comfortable , fashionable and good quality you might want to check out the aerosoles website. I have several pairs from them and find them to be some of the best boots I have owned. I consider myself a bit of a boot expert as I own over 20 pairs! Not sure what they will have now as it is still summer but by Sept they should have lots to choose from. Just a suggestion. -
Also Zappos has free shipping all of the time as does Nordstrom
-
R:
Thanks for the boot info. Hope they have size 5 and five and a half.. -
I meant Shoppygirl!...;)
-
Rhonda,
Zappos has EVERYTHING! AND somtimes 2nd item 1/2 price!!!
Also, don't forget to check for coupons for the sites online **before you buy something there or Anywhere, Ladies!
AND, just by signing up for some stores email lists, they'll sometimes automatically send u a FREE discount coupon! I did this for J Crew...they sent me a $25 coupon w NO expiration date!!! Love J Crew!!! And when u do V.Secrets they alert u to FREE SHIPPING days...:)/& send ya tons coupons/codes once u buy anything.
*SIGN UP for ALL your favs--so worth it.*
Also ADORE Lucky Brand store...for their fab jeans! They now carry plus sizes too.
Laaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Anyone on this thread in N Calif. like Moi?
P.S. - I LOVE LOVE REEF flip flops..best quality and most have an arch and are ULTRA CUSHIONY!
AM almost always in f.flops...lol!
