Have fun Sandy!!!!
-
Hope you're enjoying your time at the beach!
-
Thinking of you and sending hugs, (((Deb))).
-
I hope your mouth isn't bothering you too much, Diane.
-
Thank you Chris - I think tonight my mouth is only bothering my husband
Todays surgeon feels that the bone infection has resolved, finally. Why I had to see so many people, I don't know - maybe their numbers are down. Dentist, endodontist, periodontist, some other dental surgeon.....anyway, I am better. I bet DH wishes I were not moving my mouth so much today
Did you decide to talk with the recruiter?
Sandy - have fun at the beach!
Sheila - hope your dinner tonight was fun! I'm disappointed but not surprised that DIL canceld my trip. I'm ok with it - I;ll wait for her to need me
And she will.
-
DD is here, I feel so much better. We have to make a decision on what to do with DH, doctor said we can keep treating him the way we are but the liver and kidneys are fighting with each other, something to do with the Albumin and the ammonia is a little high and causing in and out of confusion. He may end up coming home with hospice but I have to make that decision. Right now he has tube at both ends. DD had a good cry, she is trying to wrap her head around this, angry, sad, all sorts of emotions. I was approved for a small equity loan but have to go to my lawyer to get power of attorney cuz DH will not be of sound mind or even able to be present at the passing of papers. I will need that money just to pay for burial. I am thinking of creamation and sticking him on top of the TV and think about what I want to do at a later date. Maybe spread his ashes at Lake Winnipesaukee in NH, we spent a lot of summers at the Lake.
-
So many difficult decisions - when is it exactly that life gets easy?
-
(((Diane))) How gracious of you to "get it" but it still stings in the heart...sorry...
What is counter-intuitive is that if she feels overwhelmed, why not have you come to help with Shelby and anything else they need? Can you counter with " weill I'll just come when the baby is born instead...."Crazy day...rushing to work, stopped at Staples and locked my key AND phone in the car. No public phone...anywhere...and then nobody in the stores would help me! I finally found a pharmacy and the cashier let me all DH a few times until he answered. I got rescued! was an hour late for work.
nite all,J

((((((Deb))))))
Diane - lol your mouth bothering your DH- isn't that the case with all of us? I didn't call the recruiter. I did call the other lady to tell her I was already working at another store. I haven't had the nerve to call the recruiter. I'm sure that wouldn't go anywhere. I really should call though - I don't think this job is going to work out - too stressful. I really need to maximize my income and I don't think I could handle more hours - i frequently look at the time and see I have hours left to go and say to myself "get me out of here..." I just hate not knowing what I need to know to do the job without having to interrupt other people to ask questions and/or make customers wait while I try to figure something out. I know that's the nature of being new - but I hate it - and I don't know how long it will take for me to know enough for the times when I don't know something to be few and far enough between that they don't bother me that much. Oftentimes, I wrack my brain trying to think of how I can find out what the problem is with something only to find out it was something someone else already knew about and it was an unusual problem. So sometimes I ask right away and it was something I should have figured out on my own and I feel/look stupid and other times I make the customer wait while I try to figure it out on my own and then find out I should have asked. So frustrating. So part of me wishes the recruiter had another job for me and part of me feels like I couldn't do that job either... Must...stay...under...my....rock....
I'm glad you were able to be rescued, Joan. It is scary with no pay phones around anymore.
So - DS had his braces off a few months ago. One of his 2 top front teeth was longer than the other. The orthodontist added some composite to the bottom of the shorter tooth. Then DS somehow chipped the bottom of that tooth. I THOUGHT he just chipped the composite - so I figured they could just take it off. i should have just kept putting composite on that tooth as an option to consider doing at a later date and not had him do it that day. NOW the dentist says the bottom of the tooth itself is chipped and he has to fix it. No wonder the orthodontist didn't want to fix it when I told him about it when we went for a retainer check. He could probably see it was the tooth and not the composite that was chipped. Now DS is going to have to deal with a problem tooth for the rest of his life because I was surprised/disappointed that his teeth were uneven. They actually looked crooked to me - but I couldn't tell if it was an optical illusion because one tooth was longer than the other (the gum line was straight) and the gum tissue between 2 other teeth made another tooth look crooked. When you spend $6000 having your kid's teeth straightened, you kind of want them to be straight, right? So now I've f'd up my kid's teeth forever - who knows how many more times his tooth will chip or crack because there is composite on the end of it. (DD has a friend who broke one of her front teeth and she has had to have the repair redone once already.) Why do I keep f-ing up my kids' lives? I should leave well enough alone... (He isn't upset by it - or at least he said he isn't - maybe he knows how upset I am and just doesn't want me to be upset.)
-
Oh, Diane! I am so sorry that you received that email. Nonsense! That's all I can say about that.
Sandy, glad you are able to enjoy the shore. Have fun.
Deb, you sound so organized. Make sure you schedule some time to take care of yourself during all of this.
Sheila, glad your MH is cooperating.
To the rest of you, have a wonderful weekend.
DIL sent this to me yesterday. She put Lala in a crazy outfit I bought for her. Not the best pose, but it's 'cuz grandma wasn't there.
-
Christ....possibly a porcelin (spelling?) sometime later..........don't beat yourself up......there is always a solution..........
-
-
Chris - my son has had composite on his front tooth for 3 years now - it will probably be ok and if not, another option will arise. Can we sing "money, money, money...."?
Morning Sheila.
Where is Linda this week? On the Cape???!!!
Deb - hope you are taking care of you.
Meece and Joan - yup, a bit upsetting, but not surprising. I kind of suspected it might happen that way. I know I won't be there for quite a long time now because her mom will be there for two weeks and then her dad and then they need a break from company. It is rare that a DIL allows the same access to a MIL as their own mothers.
My mouth is ok today.
-
Chris....wondering if the guy did it right....my son knocked a piece of his front tooth off at 12 horsing around in the tub.......had composite done, and it lasted till he was 21, and decided to change it cause it was just starting to discolor, and his vanity kicked in.......but I took him to a Cosmetic Dentist recommended by his pediatric dentist the first time I did it.......maybe thatt is an option for your son.......a specialist.......plus my guy guaranteed his work against all happenings.......just a suggestion...
-
Diane, you're funny! Your mouth is bothering your husband!!
((((Deb))))
What a cutie Meece!
I am here, just busy. Prom tonight.
-
Oh, what are you wearing to prom? Are you gonna......?
-
hahahaha!! no!!! And he better not either!
-
Beautiful day
Met the new MH provider....
of course he had to ask the same questions on the first session...he is a nice guy
Walked and stayed outdoors all day
Baby picture is so cute
I hope Linda's prom go smoothly
Diane good to hear about your mouth...LOL
Chris take deep breaths
Hi Ducky
Hi Joan...we just celebrated our one week anniversary today.....It was a beautifu day in NY...♥

Hi Sheila.....weather here is nice too.
Granddaughter's prom tomorrow night, and her gown is unbelievable..saw a picture during alterations...she is 5ft 9in.....and a natural blonde beauty, can't wait to see her.... -
Hope everyone enjoys the proms. DS isn't going to his. He and his friend were going to have an "anti-prom" party, but then a girl asked his friend to go with her. So DS is alone... He's still hoping that friend and a few others will come over the next night to hang out. I won't count on it though - he doesn't have good friends - unreliable. I just hope he can make some good friends at college and this bs in high school doesn't just continue into college. DD didn't go to her junior prom, but did go the the senior one. I hope DS can go to his. I hate for him to miss out totally.
We'll just have to see how it goes with DS's tooth. It's just the very end that is affected. I just feel bad because I should have just left it alone.
SAT tomorrow.
Glad you've been getting outside, Sheila.

Thinking of Deb....
Sheila, I was thinking the same thing....I looked at the pix finally...am always so busy doing whatever....
we have to start planning the next trip. Granny can't wait a whole year!
Hope you are still doing OK....and that this new provider is useful.Meece, too funny! She's growing...
Chris, my DD had a big chunk of tooth knocked out by a swing. It was bonded, then broke off, then bonded again and lasted many years until she had her teeth redone. It is such a normal thing. And of course you should have expected his teeth to be perfect! And I had 2 guys in my house who did not do prom...it hurt me more than them, I think...but in the big scheme of things, it wasn't important.
DH going fishing tomorrow...normally that would be a free day for me but I have to clean the basement. Bathroom guy is coming over to do demolition and will need to shut off water/power...can't walk in basement the way it is. 20 years of kids putting stuff down there when I wasn't looking...I found bathroom tile that looks like natural sandstone... I love it...and now am excited about this project.
My grass came up; my shrubs look sick. Can't win...

Up at the cabin and it is one stunning day - DH is already gone fishing and I hope to do "nothing" for a few hours.
Our home was painted this week, finally, and it looks so, so good. Today they start tearing out the yard - it will be a long three weeks to final product.
I am actually ok with not being in CA - I have to believe that I will not be made to wait until mid-July to see my sweet girl. I don't yet feel attachment to the new baby sister but I imagine I will very quickly.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
Deb, thinking of you. Many hugs.
-
