OK, I have some E-news. She is OK, just left the hospital a little while ago. The bone biopsy was a little harrowing -- they had to use a hammer to get the needle in. Lots of anesthesia and pain meds kept her in recovery for a long time. She feels pretty beaten-up (yes, she was hit with a hammer!). She is thinking of everyone and appreciates the good wishes and healing thoughts -- and she is worried about Athena like we all are. Tomorrow we will resume our regularly-scheduled E-programming.

I deleted the first post because once again.....the word address came before and behind the marks I made....so I just copied and pasted and dropped it down.  Don't know why it is doing that.

Meant to say as well.....enjoyed all the gassy talk -- my one and only so far  ( thank god I had something on ) released a little gas on the way home and was really glad for the pad.  Oh my.  Have to be 75 miles from home for things like that....dougle yikes.

Libby - thanks for the E news.  I hope she feels ok tomorrow....was she under during the actual hammering??  Still hoping we will hear from dear Athena.  I hope they've done something productive for her pain too.  Why so much bad news these last few weeks??

You colonoscopy farters are lucky.  I just got one big old bubble that got stuck...i.e. a large cramp.  Quite obnoxious.  Having my second one (2 years overdue - on the 5 year schedule) in May.  I've heard Kaiser is no longer doing them routinely for their own hokey reasons, to be sure.  They start with fecal blood tests to screen out the masses.

Kam, she was supposed to be under but wasn't under enough, so she remembers the hammering and the pain. Like THAT won't give you nightmares forever?!?

Ooh, I remember the bubble from my BSO ... I made the mistake of trying to lie down and felt like my shoulder was being dislocated and crushed. I actually took a whole Demerol (which is when I learned one lasts 48 hours for me). Air bubbles are NO FUN!

Yikes, I came home from chemo yesterday and slept for 15 hours. I don't like logging in and reading about pain. The farts I don't mind, but the pain, NOT. Hugs to Enjoyous and Athena and hoping for the most boring news. Leaving tomorrow for my mom's again but will be checking up on everyone. Let's try to keep things boring around here!!

Going to see my GP tomorrow - seems I have suddenly developed a carpal tunnel problem - in agony, so I bought a lovely pale blue wrist support. Thankyou Aromasin.

Athena - we miss you ((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))

Suzie, that was one of my first SEs from femara. I have had it before, years ago, so I didn't really do anything other than shrug and sigh. A few months ago, I realized it was gone. I think my steady workouts helped.

Momine - weird though as I've been on Aromasin for ages - why now?

E, hope this morning is better.

Athena, hope that things are getting resolved and you are sleeping off pain meds.

Hugs to everyone in pain or who just feels crappy today.

Suzie, there could be many reasons. I remember getting a raging case after the birth of my daughter. I was so bored and desperate that I started knitting. The combo of the repetitive movement and the loose ligaments (from pregnancy) did quite the number on my wrists. It was probably aggravated by lifting the baby, since my wrists are puny (14cm).

Try to reduce inflammation and do some light weight work on your arms.

Momine - the thing is that I did nothing to aggravate it - I am left handed but use my right hand for the mouse - the pain is in my left wrist. I was leaning on my left elbow yesterday while I was on the computer - that's the only thing I can think caused it, or I may have laid on it while I had a nap. Anyway, it feels a wee bit better at the moment and I'll see what the doc says tomorrow. Meanwhile, I'll be sleeping with the wrist guard on tonight.

Still hoping to hear from Athena soon!!!

E - hope you're recovering from the hammer.

    Athena - waiting to hear.
