Ok, tris is the store and it couldn,t be worse. I have mets to spine and liver - no pain. My necio is Boeing stabilized with a brace. I am scheduled for surgery IF and only IF I have no brain mets. Just had and MRI to check that out.

I would rather kill mysel than endure useless treatment. For now, I do hope I ca get the neck s surgery.

I love you all very much. Had a hell of a time getting past gas wifi. Family and doctors

    Are wonderful.

I am not angry, I am stoic. If I do get surgery I will not got hormonal e. better chemo.

Sorry to be the bearer of such a bad tiding.

    Morning Everyone!

Crazy-E ... I am so sorry to hear you were tortured by those horrible people.  I am livid with anger and ready to kick some ass.  There is no excuse for medical personnel to hurt a patient like that.  That radiologist needs to backhanded.  You can never go back to that terrible place.

Athena ... You're in my thoughts as well.  I hope you're okay.  Please let us know what is happening as soon as you're able.

Need to get ready and head out for Baptist in NC.  Tim's surgery is this afternoon.  I'm just so glad he didn't go on-line and read about it ... I did, and now I'm freaked out.  Thanks for all the good wishes.

    hugs,

    Bren

Eagle sighting again today! It looks like the nest is in good shape and I saw him/her land in it today. It's a young eagle, no white head yet.

So sad and angry to hear your news.  If there's anything I can do for you, let me know.  I can get there quickly.

Oh, Athena, dammit, girl.  Sooo, sooo sorry to hear this.  Just unbelievable!  So hoping the brain MRI is all clear.  With surgery (and perhaps other treatment (chemo, alternative,.....if you so choose), you can beat these suckers into submission!  We're all here for you, sending many healing thoughts and vibes your way.  Your stoic nature will see you through this.  Glad to hear your docs are good and that your family is there with you.

Big, big hugs, Athena.  Glad your family is there with you and being supportive -- you know we're all with you in our thoughts, but having people physically present is pretty damn important.

Hoping the brain MRI is clear and they can get you in to surgery.  One step at a time.

    Much love,

    Linda

((((((Athena ))))))))  sure glad we heard from you.  Loads of  soothing  coming your way.

Mary....that is a funny picture though not true. Speech from Bush -- ho-hum.  No thinking person would go along with it.  Mrs. Bush had it right....no more Bush's should ever be in the WH.  Hope everyone is listening.  She knows !!!!

Hope we don't now have to spend months on "Muslims" like Benghazi ( the US is behind it ).  How duped can you be about smoke and mirrors.

    Jackie

Hugs to E as well. Hope you get a lot of rest and feel better soon.

Hugs for Brin and family.  Good vibes coming for you.

and Glenna and Suzie.  Lets all get better at once.

Jackie, I wonder if Babs said that because she knows Jeb would lose against Hillary.

Suzie, I've had carpal tunnel since a couple of months into Aromasin. Like Momine I've had it before but it was really bad under the Al. I too wear braces, but not all the time. Lately I've gone for days without them and haven't gotten the tingles at night (only get the ct symptoms at night). But after awhile without wearing braces, the symptoms start up. Hope you get it resolved soon.

{{{Athena}}}  I'm so sorry to hear your news.  You've never left my mind these last few days.  I've taken you to some nice places on my little hikes around town.  Myself, I find nature to be good therapy. I'm glad to hear you have good support at home and ofcourse, always here. xxo

{{{{{ATHENA}}}}} - so sorry to hear the bad news, the GOOD news of course you are going to get thru this, your family is with you, all sorts of chemotherapy that will work for you AND your other disease....you are in good hands, and the prospect is good - HOPE, HOPE, HOPE you can have the surgery to relieve the pain-in-the-neck, please pardon being so literal!

DAMN  DAMN - stoic is good, but LEAN on your family, doctors & friends to get thu this!   I learned a lot, most of which I'd rather forget, since having bc, the main thing I still remember: HELP is not a four letter word.

    More hugs to Enjoyful.

Thinking of Bren & Tim, surgery day.

    (((((Athena)))))  AND  (((((E))))))

Athena, don't spend too much of that useful energy on being stoic.  It's not as important as one may think.

Oh SHIT!!!  I was so hoping that you'd get good news.  I've been thinking about you and will continue to hope for the best for you.  Like Pip said, don't expend too much energy being stoic, you need it for other stuff.  We all love you, Athena.

E - seriously????  hammers???  go rest with Sampson.  He'll treat you the way you should be treated.  My god...  hammers..... doctors are nuts.

Athena, I know some of what you must be feeling now. It's devastating enough to have a bone met, but adding the liver is just heartbreaking. If you've already exhausted the hormonals they might go to Xeloda and you can join our loose group of X Divas. Keep us posted and allow yourself all your emotions whenever you want and however you want.

Enjoyous, I've been "hammered" 3 times. When my vertebra collapsed the procedure involves tapping a tube into the area to then inject a cement like material to stabilize the vertebra. First time I slept through it. Second time I think it was a versed moment. The doc couldn't get the tube to go and I remember the banging on my back. It didnt hurt but it sure left me with a creepy feeling of someone hammering on me like I was a stone sculpture or something.

Oh, Athena, dear lioness, that truly sucks. And I agree with Pip, being stoic is highly overrated at times like this. We're here for you, any time.

Bartender, I think we need drinks...

Athena, I have no words ... I am so sorry to hear your news.  I hope the MRI comes back clean and you can have surgery.  I know you don't want hormonals, but maybe chemo?

Thinking of you, my friend -- glad to hear your family is there and supportive and you are happy with your docs.  If you are at GW, I did see Dr. Siegel and liked him a lot.  He was the only onc I ever saw who seemed to actually give a crap about my recurrence.

E -- hammering a doctor might be good pain relief.  UGH. I cannot imagine!

Athena, dear one -- Stoicism is a lovely word, but highly over-rated at times like these.  You can lean on us, lean on your family, lean on your friends.  Believe me, we all want to help you through this cruddy time.  Fingers crossed that brain is FINE (because we always knew it was!!!) and that surgery is on your near horizon.  Your "pride" of lionesses are all here for you.  Hear us roarYell.

Athena - when things have settled down, talk to your docs to see if you can have surgery for the liver mets - it will depend on how bad they are, but I know a man who had 90% of his liver removed and he's thriving. I do hope your brain MRI is clear and you can get your neck fixed. Glad to hear you have family with you - big hugs from all of us.

Yorkie - this is so sudden and I've been on Aromasin for ages now - much better this morning, but I will still go to the doc as I still have left over cold/flu issues 3 weeks after getting sick.
