I'm reminded of that adage "Be careful what you wish for, you might just find it".
Yes, that is so true.

ADOrable! My Camilla would have been the one on the right. She was addicted to sticks.

Some more comic relief though I don't know if my husband would have lived to see the sun come up the next day had this been his response:

Meet Kate the great dane, and Pippin, the orphaned fawn that she helped to raise:

Kate's owners found Pippin and rescued her. From then on, Pippin and Kate became inseparable. When Pippin became an adult and bore two fawns of her own, she let Kate see them.

This story takes place in Canada, on the property of Isobel Springett, and I think it continues to this day.

Google "Kate and Pippin" and you'll be able to watch a couple of Youtube videos of these two lovely animal friends!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch....
April 14 (Reuters) - A Texas man used a gun to commit suicide in the infield of a National Rifle Association-sponsored NASCAR race at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth late on Saturday, local authorities said.
Kirk Franklin, 42, of nearby Saginaw died after shooting himself at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday during the NRA 500 Sprint Cup race, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
Franklin was involved in a verbal altercation with other race spectators before the incident, said Daniel Segura, a Fort Worth Police Department spokesman.

I'm wondering why this man chose to come to an NRA 'sponsored' race and commit suicide. Despite the fact that I do not have good feelings about the NRA, he sounds like another person who was dangerous ( mainly to himself ) and should not have had a firearm at all. There is a
From what I have read there are mixed feelings about the NRA as a sponsor as it is not typical for it to happen. I personally don't like it, but I have to admit the biggest reason is the NRA is more about lobbying and influence and less about good gun laws.
