DRAGONS IN THE KITCHEN! LOL!!!!
No point in arguing gun regulation with someone who has made up their mind. *shrug*
-
E - be prepared to take a HUGE bag with you on Monday. Have you felt any symptoms or is this MRI simply in response to what was seen in the PET/CT?
-
No symptoms, Athena. Routine PET/CT caught the suspicious spots (four, I think) om my spine. The MRI is to confirm/rule out. BUT, as well all know, the results will be inconclusive and the choices will be: a) Wait six weeks and re-scan; or b) see option a.
-
Oh Jesus Bloody Christ.....you'd think they would get better at these things.
((((E))))
-
One would think so, Athena, but researchers are very busy trying to cure male pattern baldness.
-
And erectile dysfunction.......
-
....which is probably caused by women.
-
Feminists, specifically. When we're not leaving our husbands, killing our children, practicing witchcraft, and destroying capitalism. :-)
L -
I believe a lot of men are afraid of women. We exercise so much power over their wee little dinkums that we MUST be witches or the modern-day equivalent. Therefore, they protect themselves by trying to legislate our wombs and other activities.
-
-
Hmmm, how quick something can vannish and how interesting the people who felt it should be left alone. More enigma. One word after pro makes such a difference. Men really should get over themselves.

-
-
Sorry, the other picture was way too big....this one is in honor of the friend who spent time in our yard yesterday. He is a resident of the area and now and then shows himself or herself.

Missed a lot of posts. Bear with me, or is that bare with me......heck I never can remember nowadays.
We will have a house guest all week. My sons Navajoe friend from Flagstaff will fly in today, he's in the airport now. Never flown before so my experienced son has been talking him through. He made it through security and is now at the gate. Our house is small so son will be on the couch all week which means I have to give up my late night insomnia wanderings. Hmmm wonder how that will work.
They plan to ride bikes with the other BMX friend he has. I'm going to take him to see the millions of bats fly out from under the bridge at sunset. Austin is batty, you know.
I hope we don't bore him.
I have a new wig, which is itchy, so he will have to see my many hats or my bald head. His wife is a nurse so im sure he will go with the flow. I'm waiting on a skull cap and another wig. Hope that's softer. Its weird sleeping on a bristly dome.
Hope they don't wear me out. But it will be a good kind of wearing out. -
There is actually far more money devoted to breast cancer than to many mostly male afflictions. The real problem is the excess of pinking - money being devoted to "raise awareness" for early stagers rather than to a medical cure for advanced stage breast cancer. Pink crap.
-
And now some of those orgs are concentrating on "reducing your risk". Hmmmm....tell that to all the women (and men too) who are in the peak of good health, with no known risk factors and STILL get bc. I agree, Athena, spend the money on advanced stage research.
-
Good to see you chickadee! Hope you're feeling well.
-
-
Chickadee, I hope you bear and bare (re: wigs) the weeklong intrusion well.
-
Chick -- Are you handy with a sewing machine? A sleep wear cap is easy to make. Find some stretchy cotton knit fabric, cut out a circle about 6 inches in diameter, and then a long band of fabric about 4 inches in width (wrap it around your head to ascertain the correct length). Then sew it to the circle and finish with a hem around the band part. I made a few of these while being bald, and they were great. It's surprising how cold your head can get, especially at night -- not to mention the bristles!!!
And with the hot weather coming, you absolutely have the right to "bare arms"

I love Jon Stewart ...

The 'reduce your risk' crap is driving me bonkers too. They do.not.know what causes it. When you figure that out then you can tell people how to reduce your risk or prevent it. Until then you are merely in a giant circle jerk spewing statistics that might, or might not, mean a darn thing.
Just read that Komen walkers are way down in Indy again this year. I've been commenting on their whiny news articles whenever I get a chance that they need to fling less pink crap and fund more research.
Glad to have a chickadee sighting
Jackie ... what is it with these Republican men? They won't even listen to their own wives about women's issues. Never have I seen a group of men who are such busybodies about everybody else's business as this current crop of fundy Republicans.
-
Strange ... part of my post didn't post ... or is hiding behind the picture? Weird

{{{{chickadee}}}} - Anokhi scarves http://www.anokhiusa.com/ the softest, softest most delicious cotton scarves you can possibly imagine. Fabulous in warm weather, and they look ELEGANT as a head wrap. I use the "sarongs" as SHAWLS, and I adore them. First saw them in London when I lived there, then in the gift store at Dana Farber in Boston. You'll see at the website, they really DO support bc projects, good ones. But mostly I just love, love, love the prints, and the pure cotton.
Ok, it helps that they are made by fair trade women's group in India

Ok. Ice all melted. NOW I am READY for SPRING. Whew, Sandy I'll bet you found ice up in VT. GOod news is it's delayed Mud Season, bad news we still have Mud Season to look forward to.
Expect all heard President Obama's radio address today - given by a mother of a child from Sandy Hook ( Newtown) CT. Not going to post a link, but it's out there. She was just amazing, amazing, I couldn't stop crying, wanted to jump into the computer and give her and her brave husband a hug. Will NOT even get into the "discussion" of guns - please read anythingi Enjoyful writes, and ditto it. Homage to Blue = "idjuts"

What the Wabbit said! Nancy Brinker actually sort of "outed" herself in her hypocresy in a documentary called Pink Ribbon Inc. - she said it would be great if metastatic disease could one day be treated like a chronic illnes whereby the person would take a medication and not die. Now we know what a sham the word "cure" - which Komen's lawyers fight hard to defend - really is. And we can also suspect how Komen would never want Big Pharma to be affected. If there were a cure for cancer, the pink movement and its hairspray-addled cheerleaders would be the biggest losers.
Pink - as a color (baby pink - yuck) and a movement - makes me puke.
Also had a post disappear - not a great loss.

Chickadee - I loved seeing the bats fly in Austin. As I recall it was near a bridge over the river. I did wonder how much bat urine spray we were receiving
though. I also remember eating fish tacos on this restaurant that was a on floating barge (I think it is a famous Austin restaurant). The one thing about losing your hair to chemo, it does force you into a new hair style. I had dyed my hair for so many years I didn't know that it was actually a pretty silver gray, and I had it long and once again had my curly hair from my pre-40's. I just hope they aren't chemo curls...the grayer my hair got, the straighter it got. Could have never gotten to my current hairdo without the chemo experience, though.

illinois - so glad that you have discovered 'bernie'.....makes sense doesn't he?
