The numbers are just creeping up. Too many women. We need a cure.

Definitely too many of us. I already declared myself number 36 but, I have been checking everyday to see where the count is at. Thanks for starting this Mrs. M!

It's an amazing but scary thing to see how many we are. Like lots of others, I posted early in this thread but I keep coming back to check the numbers. It's horrible to think so many if us need to be here, but aren't we lucky to have somewhere to go? Thanks MrsM, in a strange way this thread is a huge comfort!

I printed out the list of everyone's names here that I put on a word document alphabetically, and cross-checked it to each page, making sure it's accurate.  Then I browsed several more recent threads to find any women who haven't listed themselves.  I found about 10 more women, and have pm'd them, providing a link to this thread and asking them to add their names if they want.  It's all optional, of course.

In a few days, I will try to post the alphabetical list.  Sometimes the formatting for the document doesn't jive with the website formatting, but I'll try to figure it out.

    Thanks again to all.

I guess that makes me 194. I was thinking of waiting to be 200, but oh, well! I really did not expect to see this many stage IV people here. If I had to guess, I would have said 50 or 75. Just goes to show...Wow.

MrsM - I just wish that the list would be final. Unfortunately I think it will be a work in progress. Thank goodness that we have this forum to chat, share, learn and support.

Hi Diane (dsyoung53)   ...  Thank you for your posting.  Need to clarify my health status.  I have met women who have been under treatment for Stage IV for 15 to 20 years (agree, definitely gives great hope); however, I myself have not reached the double digits .... yet.Smile   I was diagnosed with Stage II in 1991.  In September 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage IV.

I have gone back into my profile, added my diagnoses in my signature line and removed the multiple dates of surgery and  treatments (definitely confusing).   Bottom line - we are in this together and together we can make a difference.

Just checked in for the update. And, yes, kudos for the DivineMrsM pausing to ask a simple question! Knowing that my presence, input and support is noticed and felt as part of a huge web of caring, compassion and connection makes a real difference in my life. And maintaining that connection to women who share this challenge that I also face helps me to remember that I am not alone. In the midst of the dark days and the even darker nights, I do sometimes feel very, very alone.

    197

First symptoms of liver mets in June 2011 so I figure I'm coming up on 2 years. I'll count what I can get.

Very rough year so at this point I've taken to ducking and weaving to avoid the next piece of crap coming my way.

Praying for a bit of peace for all of us.

    Cancer f*cking sucks.

Just checking in on the numbers. I added my name long ago. Like someone else said. I just wish the list would be final. But alas, we all know that won't be.

At least we aren't alone. And there is strength in both numbers and in prayers. Each one of you I count as my sisters. You've all blessed me. We share a common bond. We are united together because of our individual journey through breast cancer.

While I struggle with 'thanking' God for having bc, I do thank Him for all of you.

    And yes, **** cancer!

I guess I will be #200.  Diagnosed in 1990 with Stage I.  Diagnosed in 2009 with mets to spine, Stage IV.
