Glenna, I hope you can get some rest today. Decadron is fantastic for large-scale cleaning operations, isn't it?
We're half-settled into the new house, and 90% done with the old house. This weekend's painting and cleaning blitz should wrap up the old house for good.
I stopped by to see Sampson yesterday, after not seeing him for over a week. I got to watch the assistant trainer take him over a cross-country course of jumps and he was fantastic! The trainer tells me he'll jump anything you put in front of him (as long as he's paying attention). I think he's a bit ADHD. :-)
You'll have to come visit once the horses are up and everything's settled! We're having a farm-warming party late May/early June. You MUST come up for that!

E - where is the farm?
-
Northern Maryland, just a few miles from the PA border.

It's an off-white Big Bird!
-
And who'dathunk Big Bird had a real life look-alike?!!
I want to know the name of those gorgeous magenta-coloured birds.
-
Oh Blue, the pictures, the pictures. Love them all.

Fear the gene-pool that sponsored so many of the present people in the House and Senate. So many to fill up the Loser's Corner and hopefully most of them will do just that.
At the present rate......there may be no one to even run in '16.

Late one night a mugger
wearing a ski mask jumped into a path of a well-dressed man and stuck a gun in
his ribs "give me your money," he demanded. Indignant, the affluent man replied,
"you can't do this – I am a United States congressman!" "In that case," replied
the mugger, "give me MY money."Jackie

Jackie - LOL, really a good one.
Glenna - decadron...what can we say? ACTIVITY...and then, the crash. That was always my worst day, after stopping the D. My onc explained it as adrenal glands go to sleep when we're on D, and then take a bit of time to "wake up" - whew. But so good this is all effective. BTW, I'm officially JEALOUS you get to meet with E & Samson...
Blue - that chicken/rooster, is fantastic!

It is the sunning lack of moral fiber and greed -- when you put those two together, watch out. Not much good is going to come for a large number of people who must keep plodding on to work and do what they can to keep going.

Enjoy the pics while my psychosis lasts. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!

Great graphics guys - same laughs, some cries. Senate moved forward the gun bill (avoiding filabuster). I think there were 31 cowards in the room - something like that.

Quick congrats to pip on the new house! How exciting, and also - what a relief to be done with the search.
Went down to DC yesterday for the big immigration reform rally - great turnout, great event . . . heard some really sad stories about families separated by deportations, but the overall atmosphere was hopeful and even joyful. Lots of kids waving American flags. I could have done without the sweltering temperatures - it was 90 degrees, and because the trees have yet to leaf out, there was not a spot of shade to be had - but I survived. (I am NOT a hot weather person.)
Met with the GI doc today to set up the dreaded colonoscopy, my first. It was my first appointment with her, and she asked me all the standard questions, including my occupation. When I told her, sheepishly, that I'm an economist, she totally boosted her patient satisfaction scores by saying, "I was sure you were a dancer; you carry yourself like one." In a thick Russian accent, no less.
To which anyone who's ever seen me trip over nothing and land sprawling would say -- hahahahahahaha!

Linda, too funny. Reminds me of the first time I met one of my relatives....an educator. He asked if I were a teacher due to how I talked and pronounced my words. Well....nooooo, and I've since then had that stroke. I get by despite slurring when I don't want too, but it is all understood....but I no longer talk like a teacher.
I now talk like a person trying to pull words out of think air and sometimes they aren't there.
Love the kitty angel, Blue. Let that phychosis lasts a bit longer.

Jackie, I have plenty of words, just don't have the dexterity to post them, luckily for some people. My words are my sword, but alas I must stick with my psychosis!
