I can make a June 1st either at the Cheesecake or at MondayChilds home. BTW, I wouldn't worry about matching SpecialK's culinary skills......I don't think Martha Stewart could come close!!! We love you SpecialK!

I likeh the themed Potluck, if we do it at your house.

Welcome newbies! Good luck to all the April surgeries as well.

Thanks for those compliments!  Love you too!  Cooking is my form of art, doing it makes me happy - if it made you happy too, even better!  I believe that I can make June 1, at whichever location works best.

firework - how are you feeling?

This will sound a bit strange but I've only been to that mall twice. The last time it was night, pouring rain, (remember that stuff?) and DD was driving. And got lost. I have no idea where it is. Around rayJ? TIA? I don't know if I can get through Malfunction Junction to go to Orlando next month!

I'm in Dunedin, flWarrior is close to me, if she can make it maybe we can come together. If not, hello google!

I have a favor to ask of everybody. A cyber friend from the Maltese forum who lives in California is asking for help for her sister who lives in oddessa. Pasco county.

Sis apparently needs help from some type of senior services, is severely depressed. I told her to google Pasco, how else could she get this type of info?

I will meet Ca sis next month in Orlando but would like to send her more info now if I could.

    Any ideas?

Either Cheesecake Factory or the potluck idea work for me!

Count me in for June 1st. I'll go for either but I'm going to vote for PotLuck @MondayChilds.  It was really nice getting together at a house where we could relax, eat, and talk easier.

I'd like to go.  But please note: I'm a vegan!  Will research vegan options at the Cheesecake factory..

Then let's plan on my house.  As Lee7 says, we can hang out together more easily.  And menu options are also easier. Details to come later.

Thanks Special K for inquiring! I am fine, having aging parent issues. That's been really hard.

We've also toyed with the idea of staying here........if I found a house with the same layout as yours, I might be too tempted!

See you on the June 2nd at Mondays Child get together. I thought we all could pitch in and get her a pony, what do y'all think?!

Very funny, you guys.  Make sure someone brings a shovel. :)  Or prepare to plant a new organically fed garden.

Sooooo, Mondayschild, does that mean you'd rather have a plow mule?!!

News Flash: received a call today from the Women's Center that did my ultrasound. Turns out that call they made telling me all was normal wasn't exactly correct!! Seems my endometrium wall (strip) has thickened and what was thought to be a swollen lymph node appears to have calcified.........anybody have any experience with this stuff?

    Take care all,

    L

    Update

I have seen a gyn and am having a endometrium biopsy done tomorrow morning. He's not worried at all about calcifications.

firework - don't have an endometrium anymore, but I do know a couple of ladies non this site who have had some benign issues with that.  Hoping this is nothing, but def keep us posted.  Where are you going for this?

    Thnx Galsal.

SpecialK, I'm going to stpetersburg general now for a hysteromy and D&C...........hopefully, this won't interrupt my reconstruction scheduled for May 8th. Should be some day next week. As the gyn explained to me. Arimidex is doing a fine job cutting off the estrogen to any breast cancer it's actually stirring cells up down there!!

I was under the impression, I was being stripped of all estrogen as a preventive measure .......sorta confused.

    Miss all of you, L

Whoa. That is very confusing to me, too.  I thought preventing armotase conversion was body-wide.  Never have I heard it inhibits one body part but not the other.

The gyn kept referring to Arimidex as tamoxifen.........I was surprised to hear him say these drugs do a great jobs shutting down estrogen to breast cancer cells but not the cells in the endometrium. He generalized about the rest of our genatalia.

It's time for me to call my onc. And ask WTHeck?

Thanks for your offer of help, I can't think of a thing that I need!

    Love~Hope,

Arimidex and Tamoxifen are very different. Sounds like he does not understand the mode of action of an AI. Tamoxifen is a whole 'nuther thing in what it does and how it does it. Some drugs stop the production of estrogen.  Others block the estrogen receptors in breast cells.  Maybe your onc needs to call your gyn.
