Tampa area BCO sisters get togethers

Galsal, nbnotes and I got together last night for dinner. I had a great time and always look forward to seeing members of our group.
We discussed timing for next Saturday gathering. How does Saturday, May 11 work? We would need to do it later in the day because Miles for Moffitt is that day and some of the group participates in that. That is also Mother's Day weekend so I don't know if that is a problem or not.
Alternatively, can we look at June 1? We can do that one at my house or go to Cheesecake Factory, whichever people prefer.

What a pleasurable evening last night with MondaysChild and nbnotes! Good location, good food, good company.
-
I wish I could be with you guys! Is Gainesville close enough? I want some FL sisters!!
Surgery on Friday, but I hope to be up and running and keeping up with this thread!
Warm Hugs,
Bobogirl

I'd love to meet everybody, June 1 would be good for me.
Question? Anybody have LE? Silly me. Where or who do you do therapy? I'm seeing Mark with Morton Plant, but not happy with him.
PM me if you want to take it off here thanks -
bobogirl - good luck on Fri! Yes, Gainesville is close enugh, but you might have to commute, lol!
Sorry I missed the get together last night!
-
Spookiesmom, one vote for June 1 recorded!
I saw Aubrene Fiore at Moffitt Cancer Center to get my LE under control. I was very, very pleased with her. I know SpecialK and others have gone to the LE therapists at Moffitt with great success.
-
bobogirl, nowhere is too far away to be included! If you want to be part of us, we will welcome you with dozens of wide open arms!
-
Saturdays are best for me, but I missed the SpecialK get-together because I was out of town, and I will be gone June 1 too. Sat, May 11 looks good so far (and also Sat, May 25, but no one mentioned that date).
-
Enjoyed our dinner Tuesday night! May 11th or June 1st work for me
-
spookiesmom - all of the PT at Moffitt are LE certified - I have been treated there.
-
I think June 1st would work for me. Way to much going on in May!
-
Just a fast note,
The results came back normal!! Very thrilled to find this out, it may be a swollen lymph node and actually feels like its going down.
Again, sorry to have missed Tuesday get together. Hope to see all of you soon.

Congrats on good news Kira! Bobogirl, MondaysChild said it straight. Welcome!
-
Firework, Hoo-Ray for good results!
I should be able to make either May 11 or June 1. I look forward to seeing everyone again!
-
firework - yay!
-
Spookie, i have LE and I also saw Mark at Morton Plant. Maybe you can ping me privately and we can chat about that!
-
Yay firework on the good report.
May 11 should be ok for me, not sure about June 1st.
-
May 11 is out for me. I have way to much going on in May!
-
Hmmmm, surgery on May 8th so I'm out for the 11th get together. June 1st is open so Ill save the date just in case it's decided upon.
Glad you all had fun!
Thanks for the well wishes! I'm still giddy over the results

Dear Special K: No worries! In the middle of surgery business right now. June 1st sounds good -- June 9th is my birthday!! Is there an Eileen Fisher in Tampa? I want to go flat-girl shopping, if it comes to that
In fact, I want to go shopping either way!
-
Mondayschild, I can't wait to hug you back!
May be recovering for the May date, should be good for the June date, if it happens! xxxx
-
Hi ladies, just stopped in to to say hi as I also live in the Tampa area (St Petersburg). I am fairly new to this site and I am scheduled for surgery on 4-30-13. Once I get over all the things that I am facing and back on my feet, I would love to join in on one one of the get together
. I am a patient at Morton Plant and so far I have been very pleased with my care-however the waiting for surgery has been a little stressful though (DX 3-20). Hope everyone has a great day.
-
Jude123 - Sorry that you had to join us, but we'd love to have you join us at a get together when you feel like it! I had a little over a month between diagnosis and surgery so I understand how stressful that waiting can be.
-
bobo - no Eileen Fisher - closest is Sarasota, but I think you can find her stuff at Nordstrom. If we go to the Cheesecake Factory it is right there in the same location.
jude - welcome!
-
Looks like June 1 works for most. May 11 is Mother's Day weekend and May 25th is Memorial Day weekend. Ann, you need to be in town more.
Next question is where we meet. If we like private homes, we can do my house June 1, or we can alternate and go back to Cheesecake Factory. Be aware that I am not the caterer SpecialK so I might suggest a themed pot luck approach. Thoughts?
-
Please confirm if you will join on June 1 and I will update the list in the header.
-
I'll be there, and may have a BC survivor friend with me.
-
Sorry to miss another one -- I'll be in Williamsburg, VA. I'll be gone in late July too, to see new grandson due this month. One of these times, I will see you all again!
-
Yep, I'll be there! Where ever there is!?! I don't know where Cheesecake Factory is either, you all decide. Pot luck works too.
-
Ann, enjoy that new grandson! How wonderful it is to see such great life events occur.
Spookiesmom, the Cheesecake Factory is at International Mall in Tampa, near the airport. And I live in Tampa.
