I lost my son

Dear Sisters,
I come to you with heavy hearts this day asking for prayers for my family. Last Thursday when I returned from the cardiologist, my youngest son my 18 year old Craig, was found dead on our back deck with a gunshot wound. Words cannot express the heaviness of my heart. My other son found him there and these last few days have been worse than any you can imagine. We are continually crying out to God for strength and comfort. I know our dear Fighter Lu welcomed him into heaven with open arms, as well as my mama. Please dear friends, please... you cannot imagine....... thank you and I love you all. Pam

    Dearest Pam...

    I am so so sorry to hear about your son...what an absolutely horrible thing to have happen (I have an 18 year old son...I couldn't imagine this happening to him)!

    My heart goes out to you and your family and I am sending you all of the positive energy I have to help get you through this sad time.

    Pam, I am so sorry. I wish I had some beautiful words of wisdom. Parents should never have to bury their children. This indeed is the worst loss.

    Take everything one day at a time. The pain that you feel right will get better. It will still hurt but your ability to cope with it will be easier.

    If you haven't done so, maybe now would be a good time for some extra help (maybe medication?) to get you through tragic time.

    Pam,

    I am so very sorry for your loss. Janis is right, no one should ever have to loose a child. I wish there was a way to ease your grief. Since I can't, I will be here to hold your hand, and pray for you and your family.

    I offer this prayer for your son and your family.

    May Pam's son be held in God's loving embrace now and forever:
    Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.
    May his family be consoled in their grief:
    Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.
    May his friends who shared friendship, school and sports together, be consoled and comforted:
    Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.


    Lord God, you gave us Pam's son for so short a time. His life had so much promise. His future was before him. His life has passed too quickly. By the death and resurrection of your Son we are redeemed. Make Pam's son worthy to share the joys of paradise. Grant him full life in Christ, and may he stand with all the angels and saints before your throne for all eternity. Amen

    Just reading those few words, "I lost my son" made me pause and think about how difficult that must have been for whomever wrote it.

    Pam, we don't know each other so I'm not sure if my words will have any impact other than for you to know that people outside your immediate world are sending you healing thoughts and strength to cope with this unthinkable event.

    Take comfort where you can and consider what Janis propsed. I lost my best friend two years ago and I would not have gotten through without my perscription for Xanex. Be strong, yes, but ask for help and take it where you can.

    Someday when the shock and pain recede a bit, may you be able to joyously celebrate his life, that ended much too soon.

    It is never easy to loose anyone we love, but to bury a child is worse. It is an unnatural process. As a mother, I know there is no greater pain you suffer.

    my thoughts and prayers are so very much with you.THIS is a very hared time for you,just hold on ,take one day at a time it will get better i promise.I had a son who was murdered 2 years ago, its still hard but bearable now.
    I will pray hard that you and your family find strength in each other and get through this.
