    Glad you found this group! I've been to two get togethers and have enjoyed them very much. I hope you'll be able to join us soon. I'd heard about Morton Plant having a Bch group. What was that like?

    Thanks for the welcomes! I have to grand sit Sat so couldn't make it, sure sounds like fun!



    The group at MP is a nice group, nice mix of ages too. But with all the treatment, severe reaction to Taxotere, bronchitis before surgery, holidays, I hadn't been for quite a while. There was a meeting Mon, Spookie and I were at the dog park. There will be one at Mease Cside march 12&26 at 6 PM Shaffer Tower.

    I went to the one at Countryside a couple of times. (About a year and half ago.) I was really disappointed in it and did not find it helpful.  This group of Tampa area BCO sisters is MUCH BETTER!

    I wasn't all that impressed with MP group either, they were nice ladies, but I really didn't get a chance to vent, or ask q's.



    I'm having some problems now, MO says I'm high risk to reoccurance so thought I might go to Cside Tues. see what happens.



    Even if its a bust, I'll stay here!

    I'm so bummed I can't make it! My DH is really sick, and doesn't want me driving alone both ways! How I wish there were some my way that joined the group!Cry

    Firework and Ameron, I wanted to check and see what route you would be taking.  I am further north than you are firework.  Depending on what route you think you would take, I would like to meet up with you and ride along with you guys.

    kira, I'm sorry you're not going to be able to go. Hope your DH gets better soon and sure hope you don't catch whatever he has.   

    I had a few things come up last minute, but.. I am planning on going.  Looking forward to seeing everyone who can make it.  :)

    Im in south Clearwater and have no idea where Punta gorda is located! Hopefully our next get together we can co ordinate. Pick up/ drop off with you and your DH.

    It was so nice to see all of you this afternoon. Many kudos to our wonderful hostess, Special K!

    I made an error with something I said earlier. I saw the younger brother for a lumpectomy and liked him very much. It was the older brother with whom I had an issue. Just wanted to set the record straight :)

    SpecialK, what a SPECIAL day you made it for us all!  I cannot begin to descibe how impressed I am with your culinary skills and absolutely declare you a full-blown Southern hostess.  It was wonderful. 

    Each of our gatherings seem better than the last and each one is great.  I love every one of you.

    Oh, Zappons, thank God!  Those of us who see the younger brother think the world of him and just could not reconcile the person you described with our own experience.  I thought you just had to be talking about a completely different man than the one I know and it turns out you were indeed talking about a different man.  Whew!

    Everything was soooo delicious.  And I thought the Cheesecake Factory had awesome cheesecake....well, YOU have them beat by a mile!   

     It was wonderful to see everyone. I really enjoyed the day :)

    Thanks everyone - I had a wonderful time too!  My daughter went fishing last night with her buddy who accidently spilled the beans - my son is flying down today to surprise us for spring break!  So you will all be relieved that I have another person to eat leftovers and the million strawberries!

    Sure sounds like everyone had a great day!! Maybe next time I can make it. The grands were good for a change, 2 boys, 7 & 5. Usually they just pick on each other.

    With gratitude, I thank you Special K for all you did for our gathering yesterday.  Just finished off the cheesecake I brought home....OMG.  So glad your Son is able to visit.  YUMMM   Ooooh, the Strawberries brought by Lee

    For those that didn't get to make it, you'll get there one of these times.  Do we ever vent, talk about things that some in our lives don't really want to hear, etc.

    Ladies, I hope you don't mind my barging in on your thread. My family and I are planning a trip tp the Tampa area in June and was wondering if any of you have suggestions of good hotel or condo rentals close to the beach in Clearwater (or any other nice area) that does not cost a fortune. We have never been there and thought the kids would enjoy the beach! We are really kind of clueless on where to begin looking for good places to stay. I would appreciate any help. If I have intruded- my apologies!

    No intrusion whatsoever! Tampa,Clearwater and St Petersburg is a great place for vacation! I'm new here so I don't know what to tell you but there are others that may have suggestions for you.
