Ray...good luck for your shopping.....and Sam was here tonight........hugs
Sandy....i keep dreaming........
i think some of you lost TOL from your favorites again.........
It was 45 today..rained all day......DD stopped by...did her wash.....she looks and feels much better..Thank God......Crankiness is no longer there........
Maybe tomorrow we'll go to Costco......I want a nice roasted chicken and I will check pure cane organic sugar....i hope we make it at lunch time.......
good night..♥

Had Costco roasted chicken tonight, Yummy!
-
Oh, and it has been pouring here for the past 4 hours.

(((Sandy))) thinking of you for tomorrow...wow you do so much....you gotta keep going!
Chris, sorry you are having such a challenging time with your mom. How old is DD?
I will try to post a beach photo tomorrow - if I upload it to my webpage I can link...I had to get out after 3 days sitting around 2 week ends in a row.
Has anyone tried Costco tuna (starts with a K?) I hear it is good. I have abandoned eating canned tuna after I noticed the gray yucky gel at the bottom of the can of supposedly solid white in water....it really had soy and vegetable broth in the water packed can. And it's hardly solid. It doesn't taste good (bumble bee, starkist...)
Am looking for a clean water-only tuna that doesn't cost $5/can. Help??
Gotta sleep...14 hour day tomorrow.
Joan -
Glad DD is feeling better, Sheila. ( I didn't realize something was going on...)
We buy the rotisserie chickens at the supermarket - taste better than anything I would make.
I've noticed canned tuna is mushy also.
Sandy - yeah- it's good that I got a job - not the best that it is part time. And now isn't really a good time since I'm scatterbrained (more than usual) from this whole thing with my mother. Not sure I will be able to think straight to work - especially since I feel like I don't remember anything I studied. And now I've added helping my friend and her daughter with their taxes to the mix. (I usually help them) Her daughter had a job where they gave her a 1099-M instead of a W-2....grr...now I have to figure out how that is supposed to be filed. My friend gets the H&R Block software - it is helpful, but sometimes I feel it doesn't work right so I don't have a lot of confidence in it. For example, I found a place to enter the 1099M info and entered it - then it said she needed a schedule C (and I think it linked to it), but then there was a place to enter 1099-M info within the screens for the schedule C. Then I went back and realized I didn't read the line where it says if the 1099-M is for independent contractor work, don't use this screen - duh. So I deleted those entries. But then when I went back to the schedule C, even though I had entered the 1099-M numbers on the schedule C screens, the total income for the schedule was 0. wtf? So I called H&R Block - uploaded the form to them to look at, then got disconnected. By then, it was later than I said I'd be at rehab and my father called to see where I was... So my friend called H&R Block back and I went to rehab. Meanwhile, her daughter was poking around the program and decided to go into the 1099-M forms - she hit "edit," went in, didn't change anything and then resaved them. THEN those dollars showed up in income for the schedule. wtf? I guess it needed to be "refreshed?" I hate these programs. Soooo - now I have to try to find out what she needs to file to make sure the stupid software is doing it right. And I really should be studying my own stuff for my own new job... I really just want to go back to sleep...

Yes more snow, possible a foot. shoot me.
Haven't tried the tuna. Love tuna and their chickens.
-
We had Costco rotisserie chicken last night too!

chris....You like to help but when it becomes like it's your job to do it....Don't like it
I was expected too much without even a Thank You by one of my friend and you know what.....I stopped doing it after 10 years..........
Linda....We don't have snow here.....maybe the end of the week.......
Sandy...Thinking of you and sending hugs to my friend....♥♥♥
Joan.....Costco brand is KRASDALE I believe........
I cut the salmon and some other farm raised fish after hearing the condition of those farms that the fish is swimming in it's own poop.....YUCK
I'd like to live in a Fishing Village and grow my own organic vegetable...
There is a channel called VERIA (cablevision)......Watch UNDER THE SUN.........If you're interested

I agree Sheila - farm raised fish can be a health problem. I know too much because of DH's business and so we never eat it. And yet, I buy other products at times that are not organic, antibiotic free. When I lived on the east coast, surimi products were required to fully disclose their contents but here that is not the case. I'm allergic to crab now so it's not a problem except when you buy unregulated products such as chondroitin/glucosaine that are made with crab shells. This I learned the hard way.

Good Night
-
Checking in...not usually here on Wednesdays - work until 9 PM then drive home (30 mi)
I have never been in a Costco store. What does it cost to be a member? Is it nicer than BJ?s Those big stores give me a headache - like BJ's Home Depot Toys R Us...stressful!
Ray, I did not have any extra discomfort with my follow up mammo at one year check. I never minded the mammos anyway...
It's kind of cold again...a real winter for sure.
G'night all,Joan
-
Ray-my cancer side is still tender after tx - so the mammogram is more uncomfortable on that side. My tissue is a bit squishy, so mammos don't hurt as much as they could for me.
-
sorry don't remember about mammo..havent had one in a while n dont have to anymore, the 1 upside of having metesatic bc..

-
hugs back to all of you and what the kids say....and Deb how is DD in bermuda?
-
Hope you are feeling better tonight, Sandy.
Hope you are thawed out, Sheila.
My mother goes home Tuesday...Can't come fast enough for me... so frustrating when she acts like my father is a selfish person for not sleeping on the rehab floor in a sleeping bag... or that it's our fault there isn't anything on tv she wants to watch or it's our fault she has to watch something she doesn't really want to watch after we leave for the night because she can't understand how to change the station on the tv. (though we do ask the nurse to change the station for her - don't know if they actually do) She still doesn't know she's at rehab at times..thinks she's on vacation. Sigh.
Tomorrow I have to leave rehab mid-afternoon to come home to have a tutor come to help DD with her calculus... I hope he can help her - she waited a little long to finally agree that she could use a tutor - exam is 3/4. I should have gotten her a tutor LAST semester...
((((((TOL))))))
-
(((Chris))) Hoping things get better with your Mom. I can't even imagine that.
-
Chris....I went throu similar things with my father....It's very difficult emotionally for the family
Hugs
-
OK...I might do something tomorrow and take my Macy's card and treat myself with bras
I desperately need them
I can have a bras day celebration............
I have lots of Coupons too.......
-
Sheila, you are not kidding it was cold today...I went back in for my arctic coat...
So hugs are good for keeping it warm... -
Good night!
-
Joan...It was very unpleasant today..I still feel the chills.....had a cup of raspberry tea to warm up
Good Night Linda
-
It looks like the snow i sweeping across the country...will have to watch the weather channel to find out who's getting snow in the east.
Tonight's a night off...I was so energetic today at work I cleaned most of my office which is a lot since it is about 30 feet long...I finally lost another pound - 5 in all - it's so darned slow even though I'm eating better and less. Same old story (thanks, Femara....)
(((Sandy))) sorry to hear you're feeling down ...hope that you sleep well and feel better soon. I think it's awesome that you are doing taxes...I learned to do that when I was 12 - dad was an accountant and I typed all the returns for his clients. Since then, I always do my own.
Chris, it's been such a long ordeal for your family. I hope and pray that when your mom gets home she will feel safe and less threatened. It must be so hard...and also draining for you. And oh - the dreaded calculus...life goes on in so many directions at once...hang in there.
Sheila, don't show me that Macy's sale! I have been a shop-aholic this week...bargains only, of course...but I gotta stop.
Hugs & stay warm,Joan
