Actually the "usual in Seattle is cloudy or rainy. I lived in Yakima, Wa. On the sunny side of the mount ion....gorgeous part of country......but Seattle/ Tacoma, damp and rainy....at least the few times I crossed the mountains.......Mt. Ranier is breath. Taking.....

Good fr you Joan! 6 lbs is awesome! I love fritatta's too!

Ahhhh, the weekend is over and our club did well on their fundraiser. DH and I put the fish on consignment so we made a bit of cash as well. The two fish sold were adults, both around 23-24" long.
There is a high pressure system in our area and it looks like a week of nice weather. So happy that I am feeling a bit better and will get some enjoyment of being outdoors. I need to prep my seed pans for starting my spring vegetables.
Since we were gone the whole weekend and all day Friday, my laundry didn't get done, so I will be wading through that today. Fun....NOT! Don't mind washing and drying it, it's the folding and hanging I hate!
-
I hear ya on the laundry, Meece. Glad you got some money for your fish.
Losing weight is a long process....which is why I haven't been able to keep it off...
Speaking of which...I'm hungry... time for my Slimfast.
DD hit a car-eating pothole this morning. Figures - we just brought it for its 1st scheduled maintenance on Friday. She said there was a bump on the tire - guy at car place said that his had that too and his blew. That's what I was afraid of...soooo...we're off to the car place when I get out of the shower. Hopefully if it needs to be replaced, they have one in stock. I don't want her driving to the main campus tomorrow night on a donut tire...those are so stupid...I don't trust them. And we're supposed to get some weather tomorrow night. Great. What good is all wheel drive if you have a donut?
-
Sins Linda what would they b? glad the kids are back at school
The awards IMO were boring...too long and Seth sucked, lol
Chris it is alway something is it.
Happy Monday, watching the grandchildren tonight....yay...need to smile and they make me do it. have a good day!!
-
Hope your smiling Sandy!

Was beautiful here but now it looks like snow
Don't think it's supposed to.
Enjoy your day!

Philly suburbs are warmer now, but the wind is blowing, so if the sun goes in.......brrrrr......watching my grandson...14, but not feeling well....my daughter has a 10 year old Boxer...if this friggin dog farts 1 more time, I am throwing his old sorry ass out in the yard, .....and there is no fence......and with no leash....get my drift......I swear the stench burned my "nose hairs".........there he goes again.....OMG, that is lethal........his ass could be. Hasmet case.........
-
I think it's time for your 14 y.o. grandson to talk the dog for a LONG walk!
-
Ducky that smells terrible...worse than humans....
OK I'm back....after visiting my friend who lives on the 3rd floor.....Had some creamy delicious cheese cake.........I really inhaled it.......
For dinner i made my turkey chili very plain.....Onions...fresh parsley...paprika and black beans......
It's ready...and I made sugar free fat free chocolate fudge pudding with 2% milk.......
Joan...My biggest problem with diet is portion.....if I can eat less and walk every day.....will be very helpful......
-
cheese cake love it glad you had a visit...
am smiling Linda, although baby is sick, hate that.....
ducky, hahahaha
talk to you all tomorrow......friends...
-
Ducky LOL!
Meece, I had no idea the fish are that big!!! wow...must be pretty. I've been California dreamin' am trying to decide when to visit DS in SFO...usually it's in August, but DS says weather is better in May. We went last may and it was a bit cool...but nice.
Sandy, hope you had a good nite with the grands....and that you were able to
Sheila, you're making me hungry with your cooking and cheesecake tastings! I ate well all day but binged after a small dinner...but the overall direction is still downward....slowly.
Chris, sorry about that wheel...I just got my car back after stupidly running into a snowpile on my own driveway. It's fixed and you'd never know anything happened. Except for my empty checking account!
Linda, no no no more snow!!! enuff...Nite all...getting up in 5 hours.
(((TOL))) -
Yeah, cars sure can empty the checking account. They fixed the tire, and DD drove the old old car to classes later yesterday - pot hole was still there... we picked up the car after I got home from rehab and DD got home from class - then we treated ourselves to Friendly's ice cream - and I wonder why I can't lose weight/keep it off...
Ducky - hope the grandbaby is feeling better and the dog has stopped farting so you don't have to get a gas mask...
Sandy- hope you had fun with the kids.
Linda - after tomorrow's winter weather, I hope we get a break for a while. It is nerve-wracking worrying about the kids driving, let alone driving in crappy weather.
Well, DS is back in school after getting out early yesterday because of a bomb threat...even though police say they think the text was referring to stink bombs, I hope whoever is involved gets in big trouble.
My mother goes home today...I hope it is uneventful and that she feels better being at home. I have to do the background check/drug test stuff on the website they sent me a link to. I got it early Saturday morning - it said to do it within 24 hrs, but the website said it needed to be done by the 27th...I didn't want to do it and find out I had to have a drug test today - so I've put it off... DS has an ortho appt this afternoon- maybe I'll do the stuff on the website when I get back from that. Everything happens at once, doesn't it? Though I shouldn't complain - I am glad that I wasn't working when my mother ended up in the hospital.
(((((((TOL))))))))
-
I agree Chris, I hate having them dive in snow.
Off to the dentist FUN!
-
Chris, so glad she is coming home. I know what you mean about not working when your parent is ill. I was without a job when my mom was very ill two years ago. I could never have been there enough if I was at work.
-
I had a strange dream last night in which I met Linda. I kept asking what made her come here, but she never would tell me. By the way, Linda, you look pretty good with shoulder length hair!
-
LOL Meece! It's probably all my bitching and moaning about this winter that won't end!! I needed to go somewhere warm! Thanks for having me!
-
Well, I'd be happy to have you.
-
Chris, glad mom is coming home, are you looking forward to working...
We all need to go somewhere warm...
Shiela where r u?
-
Sheila is on the plane getting ready to pick us all up!
I'm glad your Mom is coming home too!
-
Yes Sandy somewhere warm sounds good.....
I hope Meece and Linda are having a nice day in California.........
-
love it!!
-
Hey Ray! We all feel like bums sometimes!! enjoy!
-
Linda - weren't you going to live in Meece's greenhouse?
-
Mom went home - hope she behaves for my father.
She's so frustrating. She wants company, but doesn't want people invading her privacy... can't have it both ways...
So I need to do laundry. I usually do the bleach load followed by a non-bleach light load in which I do DD's and my underwear and light tshirts, etc. So...I put off doing those loads until DD and I were home (and I could remember) to ask DD for her underwear since she missed the last laundry I did (about 10 days ago.) She does have a decent amount of underwear, but I didn't think she had more than 3 weeks' worth. So I asked her the other day and she said she would do it herself with her tshirts. I said - why not just let me do them with this load? She didn't do it. So now I want to do those loads, she didn't give me her clothes, and I checked her underwear drawer and she's down to the white pairs she had to wear under her white band pants in high school. What is wrong with her?!! How lazy do you have to be not to gather up your dirty clothes and give them to someone else to wash? I hate being a mother.
DS just came into the room, sat down at the computer, and farted, saying, "How many ways can I expel air from my body?"
My life is ridiculous.
-
Ahhhh Boys!!!!
LOL on daughter.....is she hiding something?
-
Detective Linda has spoken.....What can she be hiding??????????
Chris...You gave me a good laugh...Sorry...I can hear your frustration
When I say i love living alone i mean it....I went through all that S*** when they were living here.....
i love my girls but I didn't want them start making hot dog at midnight and live a big greasy mess in the kitchen
Ray go commit some sin buying things you usually don't......Hugs to you and Jacob
I went shopping before...needed some wild fish...no more farm raised.....I got wild cod.........
If you like blueberries must be the season in some other country Chile i beleive...they are big and sweet and firm
Now I sing and be grateful I have you all......♥
Hey Sandy we are all flying to see Meece....she is our only hope
OK I better shut up..........
lalalalalalalalalaaaaaaa
Now they have their own places and what I see things are different....hahahahahahaah
DD#1 told me she can understand it now that not every pots and pans should come out to cook something..........
-
She isn't hiding anything! My kids would be, though!
-
Hi am getting my hair done ad am hálf asleep. Came from work. Only 5 hrs sleep last nite. And 45 min. Drive home in dark.
Sheila u r rite the shopping sin is even better than the eating...am typing on a kindle with one finger.
Not sure what I'm saying
End of Feb. and everybody needs to get out of the snowy rainy north.
Chris we all survived our big kids. I have 6 and I hardly remember. Your kids sound really normal and pretty special. Blink and they grow. Meanwhile complain all you want -I did!
DH still complains and they don't even live nearby any more.
Hope to checknin later.
Chris hugs and prayers for your mom and dad. He will need support during the transition. It is so hard to be the sandwich generation between kids and parents.
Hope you pass your drug test after all this LOL!
