Thinking Out Loud.....

Oh...F is for first... I wasn't sure... Hope DFS makes it home without any trouble.
Glad all the wedding plans are done. Hope the friends don't stress her out.
The ingrates I was talking about are my kids and spouse - not my parents. I actually have been making ziti or getting rotisserie chicken and bringing it to rehab... I would make it for my family, but I don't think they like it... so I've left the meals up to the other older adult in this house. (I want to say other adult, but DD is an adult so I need a way to distinguish...) So once my mother is home and I'm not at rehab 'til 8pm every night, I probably have to go back to making meals. Though once I start working- if I'm working the crappy hrs I'm expecting to work, I won't be home for mealtime those days either - soooo...since they don't like my food, I will likely leave meals to the other older adult who will be home at mealtime to make what he wants (poor DS). DD isn't home for supper Mon-Thurs - has class 'til 8:10pm Mon and Wed and is at the main campus Tues and Thurs and eats with her band friends...

Joan, fish...Pets/art. They are Koi. I took 6 to sell and so far only two have sold. Yesterday was one more beautiful day until the sun set. I hate to be cold, but during the day it has been t-shirt weather.
-
Good Morning!
Will you selling more Koi today?
-
Ray...congrats on the job, what is it doing.....
Bj's had a thing and DD and I got a dual one for 40.00 for 2 people and if we change our minds we can get our money back, we have it til December...
Shiela me too, as I have said, winter sucks, canceled an appt for tomorrow (or not yet but will) and am staying in til Wednesday, unless I have to go to another Walmart for yarn...yes I went, Michael went also and got his food, if George wants some told them they have to go with me, not shopping for them anymore, it is not getting them out of the house....congrats on the wedding, now the dress hunt again, where is she getting married?
Chris take care of yourself, they will get something if they are hungry, I don't cook much at all if I feel like it I do....they took care of themselves when I was in the hospital both times they can cook, clean, feed the dogs and do the dishes, but they do nothing while I am here. Chris your mother....you are a good daughter.
I wondered where Diane was also...
Meece, t-shirt weather, love that......HAPPY SUNDAY!!

Sorry, ladies, have been snowed in at the cabin since Thursday. Brought a dear friend who is also from Boston the DH, DD and her friend came. I am hoping to head back today but there is another storm coming in over the pass so we'll see. Dear friend from Boston loves it here as much as I do and we laugh a lot. Extra guests left last night. DH, DD and I are lounging with paper and coffee. DD has a sinus infection but not much to be done about that in the mountains on a Sunday.
Will write tomorrow after I get home - so much to back up and read

Am wondering if anyone is up....oh yeah, maybe Diane
- I assume the oscars are live on the west coast since that's where they are....
Sheila, thanks for the Costco info. I pass one every day. So glad the wedding plans are set. If you passed on the oscars, you missed Adele singing Skykfall song and winning an oscar! So amazing....and she looked great.
Meece, your answer was interesting so I looked up Koi – they surely are beautiful. Are selling babies?
Chris, you’ve been on a rough road for a time ... glad DH could muster up some food . Glad you got clarity on the background check timeframe. I just started eating low carbs- down 6 lbs. – Did not start exercising until this week end with a few short walks. Since weight loss is a little slow I am trying to tell myself eating better is good enough. My shape has changed a little from no carbs. I am cooking on Sunday so I have stuff for work – mainly a vegetable and eggwhite fritatta cut into 6 squares. I just hope I can keep it up and also to add enough exercise to get off the plateau. Long way to go here...Ducky, I watched J.O. this morning...I never do that but today I did. Not sure how I respond though. Then I watched Daytona 500. Which I also never do, but it was a great race. Then cooked pot roast..
I had phone calls from DS and DD - a rare occasion. Both were chatty and shared a lot of what's going on in their lives....makes me smile and cry both.
Diane, will save up my air miles for the reunion! Actually, am going to San Francisco in a few months. I had a call from my friends in Seattle last night and when I asked about their weather they said "the usual"... I've never spent more than 24 hours in Seattle (twice). But I love the PNW.
If y'all want to have an eastern reunion, I can sleep 10+ here...any time. Train from NY is a mile from here. Pleeeze come!
OK - am TOL and nobody's here... -
Joan....up since 4am....this really sucks.......but Good Morning Sweetie......having coffee, and would love you to join me.....
-
Joan, sounds like fun....would love yo get together........
