If we lose power, I dont think the generator will help. Too windy and too much snow! We would have to keep it in the garage but the snow is blowing to hard to keep the garage door open. Heat is cranked up and I am having hot flashes!!
-
LOL Ducky
(((((Diane))))) (((((Meece)))))) Hope you feel well soon!
I can't tell how much snow we have it's blowing so much.
Looks like only a few inches on the picnic table, but a lot on the ground.
And the heavy snow hasnt gotten here yet...
The snow blew off the car and looks deeper than it is.
-
Great pics! I tried to take pics but they justdon't come out right. To much blowing!
-
Great Pics Chris! Nice drink Linda. Save that for after you don't have power and the boys are driving you nuts.
Sandy - it's just a cold, a bad one but I will be fine. So happy there will be no workers all weeken

Sheila, I'M HOME -- and yes, I've "lost it" -- but not the power
I got home and fell asleep...then made lasagna ... then hot shower ... thanks for thinking of me...the roads got bad just as I neared home.
Hardly any snow here...I live on the rain/snow line on the south shore of LI...had lots of snow and wind early but it changed to rain so only about 4" of very wet stuff.
Oh, and I also counted my panties and decided not to do laundry.
When I read back 3 pages of posts, I was LMAOy'all are so darned hysterical today. Linda, wow, you are getting slammed. Chris...awesome that you found your phone. It just started snowing here again and it's covering everything quickly.
Ray, good luck with the job.
Meece, I know what you mean about the CA drivers...a little rain or ice or snow and there are fender benders. Be safe! Hope you are feeling better. -
Glad to know you are all now safe at home!
-
Ducky...i was thinking of you as I watched 3 episodes of Everybody loves Raymond....hahahaha
Joan....Now I can really say Good Night since you're safely home.....
i'm so glad there is no shortage of PANTIES
I have severe shortage of bras...i mean severe......
-
Diane...are you warm?
-
TOL...
Thanks!
Nite Sheila...I'm staying up awhile. Just got an inch since I signed on here.
-
LOL DUCKY!!!
Joan...............lasagna................yum!!!
-
I can't turn off my computer........Some hope.........
-
I just tried to open my front door and take pics. Could not open it!! Snow is to high!
Gotta go to bed soon. I want to be asleep when the power goes out.
-
I am warm - I have a fever
Can't open door? Oh my - tomorrow is going to be interesting!
Go to bed Sheila - Linda's right - it's best to be sleeping while power is out!
-
Diane, I hope you feel better soon...
Linda, I hope your power stays on....but bundle up just in case.
DD txt'd me and invited me someplace warm....just what I need tonight. -
Yup, still can't open it. I posted some pics on FB. I can never get them to post here. I will take more pics later when the snow stops.
Joan glad you got the text and are warm!
-
Good morning girlfriends.....we lucked out ...snow, but nothing major.....the wind is wicked, but that is it, but the sun is shining. Hope your all ok, and still have power....hugs.
Ok, just looked out back. This huge tree is full of heavy snow, and swaying like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers.........if this frigger falls, it's a direct hit to my recliner, right through the roof..........holy shit.......gonna go throw my undies in a bag, just in case.....my mother always said....make sure in an emergency you have clean undies.......is a tree hitting you house considered an emergency........decisions, decisions....... -
Maybe you should move the recliner to another room. Then you and your underwear will be safe!
-
o...m...g....
Will post pix later -though they don't do the snow accumulation justice...
Got up at 5 and took a peek - was also cold so thought our heat was out, but my eyes were bleary so I didn't see that the temp was actually too low. We have a "direct vent" for our boiler (instead of it venting out the chimney(did I mention I HATE contractors?!)) and it was buried - so the boiler shut itself off- DHjust dug out the vent so I hit the reset button and the boiler is running = I hope it keeps running....
Well= gotta put my snowpants on and try to help dig us out of this mess.
At least my snowpants should fit a littlebetter than when I shoveled the last time in Dec(DH was sick so I didn't make him use the snowblower - he's using it today though!) I've lost about8 lbs or so since xmas (almost down to my pre-chemo weight) so they shouldn't be quite a snug. I probably still can't zip them though.
I hope everyone still has power! And heat! And is safe!
(((((((TOL))))))))

Just saw your post, Ducky. LOL - During hurricane Gloria, when our neighbor called my parents to let them know that a tree was leaning on their house (over their bedroom), my mother got out the suitcase and put my father's underwear in it. Ha ha! I don't know if she put anything else in it - the underwear was the funny part of the story so that's what they told me. (I was at school - where crazy kids were playing mud football and one kid was holding onto a sheet trying to see if the hurricane winds would take him airborne.... wonder what the kids did yesterday (or today?) in the snow...
-
Oops- forgot to say- I hope that tree stays put!
