Hope you were able to get some help with Websister's suggestions, Edi.
Websister, hope your son's dental surgery went well, and he is a "good patient" for you. Did you ever get your nap? I doubt if you ever put yourself at the top of the "important" list.
Traii....don't go putting the xrated on me! I blame the mooseball episode and I DEFINITELY didn't start that one!
I did manage to go out for a brief walk today, but at a windchill of -21, only lasted about 20 minutes.
I'm claiming spots in EVERYBODIES pockets, and I'll bring the heating pad and the frozen peas!
-
Edi, so sorry you are feeling under the weather, and hope it gets better for you soon. Take it easy, and be kind to yourself. Kids' move went okay. I don't think young people feel the cold as we do - lol.
Carla, best wishes for tomorrow. Halfway there - yay!!!
Websister, hope Kenny is doing fine? I remember going through that with my children - not fun. Good for you to be exercising like that. It certainly lifts my mood, I find.
Traii, your scallops and shrimp dinner sounds delicious. As far as the trout, I broiled it in the oven, and it was not too bad. Not my favourite though. Give me salmon and halibut any day.
Nihahi, no flowers in Victoria yet, but it was 8 degrees there. Flowers will be coming in March.
Dakota, that cooking class sounds like something I would like too. I want to learn to make pasta. Maybe not, because then I will want to eat it . . .
The plastic surgeon seems to be pleased with the appearance of the radiated breast, and did not mention anything about doing more fills - phew! She is a beautiful young woman in her thirties, and so kind and warm. She explained the whole procedure and the risks involved, but she is very cautious, and I trust her implicitly. So she will try to book the surgery for the last week of April so that by the time summer rolls around, I will be healthy and well again. I am not scared of the surgery any more. Just excited to get the hard TE out, and have a 'normal' breast again.
DH and I stopped by the gym on our way home, and did about 40 minutes of cardio. I do walk /run interval training, and I'm running two out of every three minutes now. Not fast, but it feels so good. Maybe I will be able to do a 5k run one of these days; it is within reach. Never ever thought that I would be considering doing that. It just feels so good that I am physically able to do this, where 6 months ago I was as weak as a baby, and could not even climb a few stairs, let alone take a short walk. Simply amazing, and I am so grateful.
Best wishes to everybody that I may have missed, and I wish Benny would check in. I'm thinking of her all the time.

Hi ladies....just popping in again to say hi and sorry Edi you are not feeling great.
You know I also pop in hoping Benny has posted. It's been a long time. I mentioned
to one of the gals the last time we did not hear from her we could contact the mods
For help in finding out how she is. We were very concerned about about another lady
on another thread (talk of suicide) and we contacted the mods who were able to put her in touch with a therapist.......just a thought.. -
websister, thank you for the advice. It is the cyclophosphamide by tablet, the other two are iv.Just felt so low last night and panicked a bit. Went to bed early and slept like a log. Except for bathroom every two hrs
All that water lol.
Just got up and taken another one, can't eat for one hour so will see how it goes then. also have anti sick pill to take then. Hope today will not be as yucky but will ring onco if it continues. xnihahi, thanks for the hug x
Traii, thanks too, had a feeling you said nausea with the C pills cough subsided today.50 mg 3 times a day x
liefie, so glad kids move went well x
Scottiee, good idea re moderators if that is possible ? how would we go about it. x
DH up a ladder, dreadful winds here overnight, shed on his roof lifting and flapping today if it rains everything in there will be ruined, tools ,mower etc.He has been rabbiting on about doing a new roof for months and now has his boxers in a twist because he has left it too late.

-
Edi....I do hope you are starting to feel better, just love your sense of humour. You sure are a pick me up for me when I'm nor feeling so great.
Yeah, getting in touch with the mods is not something I've ever done. I'm hoping Websister will read this soon. I'm sure she knows how to go about this. If she doesn't,
I will look back on the other thread and PM the gal who did it for someone else.
I have to jump into the shower now....work!!!! It's so cold again here in Toronto after having a spring like day yesterday. I wish it would make up its mind.....brrrrr -
Scottiee, Have a good day in work, feeling almost normal today going to just sort cupboards etc to keep me occupied but not going out in case se's hit.
nowWeather here insane too. Sun shining now but cool ,thank goodness wind has dropped DH could have been blown of his ladder into the stream at the back of the house lol.Think we have left it long enough about Benny, sure if she was able she would maybe get a friend to post for her ? Really worried now.Just have this picture of her needing help and no one knows. She has lovely friends ,so hope one of them has maybe taken her for help ?
-
Edi, my Cyber Mummy, glad you feeling a little better now.. I'm having 150 mg one day alternatinI g with 200 mg the following... but in one hit not one at a time, perhaps thats why you feeling a little down all day long.....within a couple of hours I'm 'normal' again (though husband wants me to define normal nowa days.. lol)
Oh no your DH's shed...this weather seems to be all round the place, Toronta, Uk, Melbourne, we are getting 3 seasons in the one day....rain , hail and shine today...crazy !
i'm going to research re mods for Benny.....good idea Scottiee... Like Edi said, I'm sure we have left it long enough, normally after a couple of days Benny would have responded, or at least texted Websister back or returned her call but nothing it's not like Benny....I'm starting to worry now too...hopefully one of her friends are with her....perhaps the nurse one .
-
Ok ladies, I sent an PM to our moderators to seek assistance if they can help re Benny
Will get back to you when I hear back from them.
-
Well so much for easing into the day! Open up the computer and I'm waayyy behind! Edi, pace yourself carefully with the nausea se. I don't mean just lie around and feel yucky, but won't help if you're pushing too hard physically. Spend some time in the meadow, ok? Sounds like your husband always has himself 3 projects behind, but always seems busy?? A lot like mine. Did you ever get your bathroom reno started?
I guess I have mixed feelings re: Benny. Last post from her was as she was heading out for an appointment with the Support Center, and my gut feeling is that they identified that she wasn't coping at home and overturned her desire to stay out of hospital. I don't want to load Websister with trying to sort Benny out, but believe she does know Benny's actual name, so could probably find out if she is in hospital, by making a phone call. Based on past postings from Benny, I do believe she would post if she had the ability, not just scare us to death by going silent. I guess I'm reluctant to "track her down" via the moderators, a bit "invasive" feeling to me. I know Benny was depressed, but I don't feel she was suicidal either. Thought I read something in the bylaws for this site, that tracking people down was out of their scope? Let us know Traii when you get a response from them.
Carla, Caitlin, Dakota, Bevlee, 65, Bearcub, Liefie, Traii, Luvmy, Websister, (sorry for who ever I've forgotten - haven't had the morning coffee yet).....You all are important to each of us. Have a good day.
-
Hi ladies- it's treatment day for me # 7. Of 8 yahoo!!
Edi- I hope ur feeling better!!
Traii- thanks for trying the mods.
Nihahi - enjoy the morning coffee!!! -
Dakota...Just poured my coffee into a thermos. I'm hopping into those pockets of yours. Can we stop for doughnuts? GO GIRL! You're doing awesome...so close to the finishline you can see it!
-
Whoo hoo dakota so close now.
Im in your pocket too....nihahi ill have a coffee too please if im going to keep up with u girls uts almost 1am here...ill bring the donuts...lol
Well moderators got back to me.
They would only send an email and feel reluctant if we have already tried mobile and email (thanks to websister) im with u nihahi...benny was going in to speak with docs. Bit not responding to websister is concerning. -
I guess my feeling is she was admitted to hospital unexpectedly, and doesn't have her techno stuff and the ability to "recharge" her phone with her, so she didn't get the emails/texts. I'm not saying she doesn't need our support, I'm just thinking she's currently getting the medical care she needs, (probably not to her liking though) and we will have to keep her in our thoughts and hearts until she gets back to us.
-
Traii....sure, it's a big thermos. What's your pleasure? Cream, sugar, kahlua????
-
Welcome ladies -
Traii- four hour infusion. Take a nap I am!!!
thanks for the donuts !!!
Nahahi-

Hugs to you all ♥ -
Wow Dakota...4 hours....It will be my early morning when you finish so I'll make us some bacon n eggs with hash browns ....lol and straight out kahlua shotties!!!
-
Traii....thought we told you to go to bed? But...that breakfast sounds soooooooo yummy. I'm sitting here looking at a bowl of yogurt, blueberries and bran buds, but now all I want is your feast. Maybe I'll just start with the kahlua, while you and Dakota are snoozing. Too make sure it's ok, of course. No other reason.

-
Thanks nihahi. Never get a good night sleep before chemo always afraid I am going to sleep Thru it. Plus I never get to nap or rest my brain!!!!

-
Ok ok im in bed best get rud of my phone. Make sure you eat alk that yummy breakfast if yours Nihahi...just add a dab if kahlua for flavour in that yoghurt!!
Dakota u sleep girl 4 hours...ill join u and Nihahi better leave some drink for us....lol
Ok sleepies for me now xx -
Ok, off to Edi's meadow for you both! I'll keep a lookout so the moose don't show up and lick your toes!
-
Girls you are all right. We are all so worried. Just hope that when Benny went for that appointment they kept her there.Pray that they are giving her some nourishment as well as treatment.
If no reply to Websister, does seem possible she is somewhere that she just can't reply.
Traii, holy poop! 150 or 200 in one pill ! 50 mg is bad enough.Perhaps as you say it being dragged out all day that's why.Bit less spewy today so fingers crossed. Very tired, thank heavens I have no appointments don't think I will be out of pj's anytime today.DH at work until this evening so can be as scruffy as I want. thanks for contacting mods at least we are trying something. x
Dakota, thinking of you xx nearly there, working on your cake right now. Hope all goes well x
Nihahi, make mine a latte please
living on soup etc as can't even face chewing lol.
Bathroom turned into disaster !! Plumber all booked for last Monday, some fixtures coming then. Phone call from bath and toilet supplier, one part not in can't now start until 18th Feb. Quite glad now really, as couldn't face house full of mess and workmen this week. By then weather may be tropical lol.I can sit out the back ignore it all, and bask in the sun.
Weather everywhere is a bit scarey really. They have said we are due for 4 inches of snow again soon. DH hoping to fix shed Saturday when it supposed to be a nice day. He has done a temporary repair for now. Why do men always mean to do something then when it finally collapses look all amazed and stamp around.? xHope all of you are ok ? Off to swallow another of these cxxxxy pills and a couple of gallons of water. Means to an end
x -
Edi, is that latte with or without foam???? Do they make sugarfree kahlua...hmmmm. Sounds like fate stepped in on the bathroom reno's. Spooky how things sort themselves out sometimes, isn't it. Oh, dear, more snow! Is this normal for you people? Don't think men and their "schedules to do something" can be logically explained. I don't try anymore. The number of times I COULD start a sentence with "if you had finished it when........"!
You are now on the chemo drugs I was on, though mine were all by IV. Those drugs, combined with the anti-nausea meds certainly had me feeling exhausted, so I understand and applaud the "day of pj's". Rest whenever possible, it will pass. (((X)))
-
Thanks edi- stay in those pj's!!!
Nihahi- thanks for warding off the moose
Weird day here also, 60 degrees and soooo windy. So not like jan for MA, who knows. -
Dakota!....shhhhhh.....go to sleep. Currently windchill of -17 here, supposed to go up to 0 by this afternoon. Silly, crazy weather. Ok, I'm making bread today, so it's time to get busy or we won't have toast when Traii makes us breakfast!
((((XXXXX))))
-
nihahi, pj's ,fluffy dressing gown and wooly hat defo could be britains next top model.

Snow like this hasn't happened for quite a few years so we being British just moan.It is our favourite pastime discussing it lol.
Many years back a lady rang the tv station to say she had heard hurricane force winds on their way ? Oh nooo says the weatherman, lo and behold death and destruction that night.Caravans were blown off cliffs, trees fell on cars etc. The trouble is they can't seem to ever get it right.
Glad you have same conversation with DH, mine calls it nagging, I call it shutting stable door after horse has well and truly bolted.xDakota, hope all ok x
Traii, Bin day, what joy for DS lol. If I could I would join you and the girls for that brekkie X
-
Hey Dakota, I'm going today too! 3 hour infusion.. I'll be thinking of you!! I have packed all of you in my Chemo bag, pockets not big enough..
Hope you all have a great day!!
Love you,
Carla
-
Carlads and Dakota - in your pockets today
Edi - glad you can take it easy and rest today
Re: Benny - I have tried emailing again this a.m. I am a little torn re: following up with hospital as I work for the health region and due to my role I am very subject to being audited. Even if I was to find out if she was admitted I would not be able to report this back to you without her permission due to patient confidentiality regulations.
Wishing all a good day -
About Benny: I agree that she is most probably not capable to communicate because she is in hospital, and has probably had a very rough ride these last few days. Hopefully she'll come out of it feeling okay, and ready to get strong and healthy again. This whole ordeal has been so hard on her, and I really wish for her to just feel good again. The horse is being looked after, and I hope friends are taking care of Benny, the fluffy orange cat. Oh man, I'm worried about the whole situation.
Carla and Dakota, in your pockets! I'm chanting kill, kill, kill, kill as those drugs are running into you veins. The same for that pill of yours, Edi! While you are feeling so bad, that war is going on inside your body, and annihilating the enemy. True warriors you are!
The rough weather is concerning. We have it quite good here actually seeing that there are no storms, winds etc., just the normal for this time of year. When we were in South Africa during December it was hotter there than ever before, upwards of 30 degrees in Cape Town(on the coast) every day, even 37 and 38 - very hot for CT. In another inland town it was 51 degrees one day. Something is going on for sure.
Websister, I totally understand your position re Benny. How is Kenny?
