pt, I hope the news is good.
-
chabba, seems to be so far. the radiologist didn't find anything that concerned him but hedged his bet by saying because of very dense tissue an MRI is a good idea to be sure there is nothig lurking.
-
PT thinking about you today. I hope all went well.
Ginger
-
pt, will be thinking of you tomorrow. Good luck!

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. Will post on MRI results when I get them. I imagine they will not let me know right away and I will probably have to wait for the surgeon to call me.
-
pt, sorry I missed the pocket party, but I'll talk to my friends "upstairs" for goods results from the MRI.
Saw a line the other day that I liked..paraphrasing, but along the lines of
If everyone put their troubles in a pile, we'd be quick to take back our own.
One of those things that make you wonder occasionally, but generally I think I'd agree
-
I'll keep my troubles thanks. I'm used to them!! I had to give my insurance company an update on my disabilities the other day and boy! I would HATE this life if it wasn't mine!!!

Nobody's posted here for a few days, so here we go! Our Bud The Dog is in the vet hospital tonight. He just finished 2 weeks of antibiotics for a (prepare to be grossed out, gals) ruptured anal gland, and the recheck today showed improvement on the outside, but not on the inside. So tomorrow morning the vet's going to anesthesize him, clean his teeth, and check out below while he's under. I hate that he has to stay at the vet's tonight, but the vet said that would be best. Poor Bud is a wreck about the vet and being away from home. (Just like all of us are!)
We kept DGS today and made sugar cookies, which he painted with egg wash and dipped in sesame seeds--pretty good! I've vacuumed, but fear I'll be finding sesame seeds all over the kitchen for a long time.
PT, hope you get your results soon. Thinking about you.
Love to all--Kathy

QCA, MRI turned out okay. all good for the next six months.

That's good news pt.

That's fantastic, PT!!

Great News PT!!!
-
Pt, gooood news.
((((Bud))))))
Just parted company with an old 'friend' today. When I went for my BMX, nearly 10 years ago, I bought a new dressing gown, a lime green dressing gown. I wore it half a dozen times, but it always took me back to that time, so it never really got much wear, just hung behind my sewing room door, and reminded me of the whole experience.
I was just sat sat wondering what to sew next this afternoon, this dressing gown came into my sights, so I took it down from the door and chopped it into two! I threw away the sleeve half, and made a nice fluffy dog blanket up from the skirt half !! This is about the extent of my day....such is the exiting life I lead !!
Oh, my Gdaughter has had her 20 week baby scan, and it's a boy. So now they are going into overdrive thinking of names....last night Rudy was top of the list, do hope they pass that one by !
Isabella.
-
Isabella, Rudy was my fathers name. Actually it was his middle name but the one family always called him by. It is a friendly informal name but not very modern is it?
I love that you made a dog blanket out of your robe. I will sometimes keep something around, just because, and for no good reason. I am glad you got rid of the reminder. That is something I would be well served to immitate.
DGD got her flu shot yesterday and was appalled that anyone would poke her in the leg and make an ouchie. She had no experience in her recollection to make her anticipate such a thing. Poor little innocent sweetie.
I got the last flu shot for a senior at our pharmacy. I hope not to be exposed before it starts to work.

Well, a very groggy Bud The Dog is home and we are $414 poorer. We have another round of antibiotics to give him and then a recheck in 2 weeks. This anal gland rupture has really turned out to be a serious thing. (Thanks, Isabella.)
Yes, Isabella--Rudy wouldn't be my choice either!

Kathy, glad Bud is home....watch for constipation after an anaesthetic, especially after where he had the operation !!
I have a little dog who has cancer high in her back passage. She is almost 16, and has a dicky heart, so probably would not stand an op. She was having BAD problems trying to pass anything, so now I pop her half a senna tablet each evening, and she has no trouble at all! She would squat for over 20 mins 'trying' each morning...that's how I discovered she had a problem. Now, life for her is back to normal, and she's in and out of the garden each morning in 2 mins !!! (TMI!!) It will probably only be for a few more months, but an op. that might kill her, or leave her pretty infirm wasn't what I wanted for her. Just hoping she lives to see some Spring weather, she is one of my dogs that likes to follow me about as I potter in the garden, and will sleep for ages under my wheelbarrow where I am working to keep out of the sun !
Sun...did I say sun.. can't really remember what that is anymore....we only had a few weeks last year. Snow is forecast tomorrow, AND on Monday. I had a carpet buying trip planned for Monday, my car will not travel on snow, so looks like carpets are on hold right now.
I have decided to splash out and carpet my conservatory. It is all big stone slabs now, about 2'x3' each slab. LOOKS nice, but its cold. My gdaughter complains her legs get cold playing on my floor, and with another baby coming I need comfort and warmth underfoot now! I am intending getting gson to carry me a sewing machine and table down into the conservatory for the next few months. Getting soft in my dotage !

Nobody's posted here for a few days, so I will. Today is my birthday, my 63rd birthday! That's the first time I've written that, and it's a bit jarring I must say, but considering the alternative, I'm delighted to be here at 63!! It's been a good day--woke to roses and candy and 3 lovely cards from DH, got seranaded by DH and DGS (on the kazoo, no less), and then Saturday the children and their spouses will be here for a cook-out. Dismal weather all day, rain supposed to turn to snow later tonight, but I'm here to see it, and that's all good! Knowing all of you here is a gift to me, every day!
