    Oooh, sleep deprivation is a recipe for disaster for me!!! I start to cry...sigh. I HAVE to get 8-10 hours a night AND a 2-3 hour nap!! With all the narcotics I take, I get well-rested at least!

    I hate taking my Christmas decorations down - the house seems so bare at that point. I've been known to keep things up for weeks afterward! I'll come downstairs one day and just feel "it's time" and then I start putting away. Winter is not my favorite time of year by a long shot. If I keep my decorations up for a while, it gives me a little joy in those months where all is dark and dreary. Anyway I can shorten the time to spring works for me!

    Tomorrow is Christmas with my side of the family. 59 expected, and that's not all of us! That's just my siblings, our children and grandchildren. We've reproduced well :) Used to rotate houses, but after we crossed 45 or so, we realized it just wasn't feasible so we started taking turns among the 6 of us finding a place that we rent for the day. We've done firehouses, restaurants, halls ... then the host family and their kids is in charge of decorating if necessary and taking care of the main meal and we all contribute financially - usually about $15 per adult and $5 per child over 5. We make/bring appetizers and desserts. The first year we did it, I was afraid it wouldn't feel "cozy" anymore, but it's really worked out great - more space for the kids to run around, little to no cleanup ... way more plusses than minuses. Anyway, I'm looking forward to that :)

    Holy cow Marlegal!! We only had 18 or so in my brothers basement and that was pretty much the most I could deal with!!! The funny thing is, my SIL loves to cook so I wasn't surprised when they said don't bring anything. They would normally put a board over the pool table and we'd have a feast. No board this year. So they bring out what my brother calls "munchies" and I look at the sausage rolls and other stuff and don't want to ruin my appetite so I have a cracker or two. Then I get a bit hungrier and have some dip and pick at some fruit. A couple of hours later I realize.....that was dinner!!! There wasn't going to be a sit-down dinner!!!! I was SO shocked!!! By that time all the "munchies" were pretty much gone except for a corner of Brie which I immeidately confiscated and ate. What a shocker! Good evening though with a friend over there was 4 2 year olds!!! That's FOUR. All boys. What a hoot!!

    My son, his wife and 4 yr old and 9 year old just took off for home. They were here since the 19th of Dec and I miss them! The time went all too fast. Way too fast.   

    Had a good Christmas and some adjusting to living in a different house for the kids and DIL for 11 days. Just when they were settliung in nicely, used to dogs, cats etc and now house is empty, well DH is asleep. I stayed up all night so I cpould see them off at 5 AM.   

    I miss them.   

    Local DD, SIL and DGD have been over lots to see bro and cousins so that was more fun.   

    Dil was worried to death about 4 year olds behavior, he is difficult by I raised 3 boys so nothing waS REALLY new to me.   Eventually he even watched My Little Pony with 2 yr old DGD and shared a few things with her. All in all it was good.  Dgd who is 9 yrs old is close to my heart and I miss her already.  

    Laters my friends, Please have the most wonderful new year filled with love and joy.

     This is the first time in ages that DH and I haven't gone to a party with friends, but no party this year.  One friend's son got re-married tonight, and I'd sent regrets since the now here baby was originally due Jan. 1.  We kept DGS today anyway, so pretty tired now.

    We watched "Hope Springs" tonight--good movie and I love anything with Meryl Streep. Doubt we'll make it to midnight.

    It's so good to see you, Barb.  And 3jays, I hope you're in and getting settled now.

    Will be holding your hand as well PT.

    Have come in because it is too hot in the garden -lol we are never satisfied are we. Once DH has finished putting up a cupboard in the garage we will go off to get some thing from the hardware shop. I am determined to get garage organised this year and suspect it will gain extra items for storage when DD moves to Canada. Our garage has had a car in it about once!!!

    Also it is coffee time so will get a drink while out. These days I will have only one or two cups a day but I like good stuff.

    Hope your New "Years day has been as fun as mine was yesterday.

    Thanks everyone. Hope they give me some indication how things are tomorrow and don't make me wait. Just got off of phone to mail order pharmacy whose right hand dosen't know what the left is doing. So frustating but we need these meds so we jump through hoops.

    pt, I'll be with you in spirit tomorrow, too. I hope they can give you results right away, also. Ask if there is anyone to read them. Last time I got a mammo they were so nice and had me just wait. They knew I had a ways to go home and wouldn't be able to just call me back for more films. The techs should have some idea how worried we are at this point.

    Mail order pharmacy??? OH MY!!! I cannot imagine them mailing me my Morphine Sulphate!!! heheheheheh I have to show my driver's license when I pick them up! And they know me by name there, but they have to record it each time. Can you imagine the lucky guy who steals from my mail if it was sent that way???? Surprised

    Radiologist did the aspiration and read the mammogram right away. He said he thought everything was okay but because I have very dense breasts he said the MRI was good insurance to make sure nothing was lurking. One down and one to go on Friday.

    That sounds okay. If he had said he'd use the MRI to compare the mammo to, that would mean something different.

    What was the aspiration of? I mean, what got aspirated? And why?

    Barba, they aspirated a seroma so that they could get a better picture of what was underneath in the breast. I imagine that the MRI will also give a better picture. I am wrapped pretty tight so that the fluid dosen't build up before Friday.
