My foster cat likes to chew. If he thinks we're not paying attention, he'll nip at whatever is distracting us. Paper, books, lapbook screen, you name it. At least he doesn't eat plants like my former cat. He only meows (squeaks) for food or play. He's really insistent when he wants to play. We thought we might have an adopter, but it fell through. It will be hard to say goodbye to him.

macatacmv,  I love your dog's name.  My old dog was deaf, so she needed the closed caption too.    I was watching that dog show the other day myself, but did not get to see who won Best Of Show?  Did you see who it was?

Well, I had to put my dog to sleep last Weds.  She was a 16 1/2 year old houndog and she had not eaten for three days.  It was time.  It was so sad and so hard for us to take her, but it was the kindest thing, I think.  I post about this because ever since Marybe met my dog IRL, I don't think I got a PM or call from her where she did not ask about my old girl.  Never would have guessed that she would have outlived Marybe, and I hope her little Harley is doing o.k.

Elimar, I am so sorry for your loss. You gave your dog a good life and a gentle ending.

Hi everyone!  I've been away for many months so I thought I better pop in to see what's going on -

Marybe...Harley is too very cute - I want him!

Chabba...I love an English bulldog.  That picture is so cute.

My little Oliver is not doing so well ... a couple years ago he had the idoine treatment for his hyperthyroidism and now he has a thyroid tumor - they think its probably cancer.  We are going to double his meds for his thyroid problem, change his diet to one for cats with thyroid problems and take a 'benign neglect' approach -- he is 15 years old.  I will make him as comfortable as possible, give him lots of love, and will him not to die.  Once he passes, no more animals for me -- I am physically just not fit, cannot afford the vet bills, and especially don't want to have to put another animal down.  It just shatters your heart.  That's why I'm going to WILL Oliver not to die!

eli, it's funny what dogs will do things for. I am always amazed at the show dogs and how they are so well behaved. 

The dogs at the dog park can smell a crumb in a pocket. 

My dog wants to chase the ball the whole time we are there. Except when she wants to jump up and kiss people. She jumps up and licks their faces. She is part boxer and I think they are big jumpers. She is usually half way across the field and I can't yell loud enough. She was a rescue puppy that I picked out by her picture on the internet 2 years ago. I certainly got the rambunctious, sock stealer from that litter.

kmcc, that's all we can do, is love them. I hope Oliver enjoys the time he has left. I am sorry for your impending loss.

Love the Chuck it ball story!  My DD black lab will go into the tall grass at our dog park and come out with two balls at a time!   

After having Golden Retrievers for years it is pretty lame that my poodle has no interest in bringing a ball back. He does do a good chase for them though. 

I wish we had a little snow the dogs love it so much. My GOldens all did a nose snow polow thingy that was so cute.

Yesterday at the dog park, Cinder managed to snag someones glove. It must have fallen out of their pocket before they got to put it on. She was running around happily. I was like what is in your mouth? When I finally caught her and found out it was a sheepskin glove, I was mortified. But it was a dog lover and she was frantically looking for her glove. So I just wiped the slobber off and gave it back to her.
